Turn your speakers up loud. I plugged in my additional speaker to my laptop.

I put on my headphones and listened.

Given that her vocal inflection during the first three words that she says in that clip goes up, which is what happens when we ask questions, I would tend to think that the word "hate" makes more sense than "beat" in the context of a question.

"still hate me?" sounds like a normal sentence

"still beat me?" the wording sounds off to me - this doesn't sound like a question anyone would ask. What does it mean?

Does it mean "why are you still beating me?" or "will you still beat me?" or "did you still beat me?" Its certainly possible she meant one of those (or something else) and only said the words "still beat me?," but I guess that seems less likely to me than the phrase "still hate me?" because that phrase actually makes sense on its own.

I believe she says it because he is still winning. She couldn't even murder right. She got busted and he is still beating her, even though he's now physically here on earth.

Just a suggestion. Could say something else completely, but I do not hear an H sound at all. I

Didn't Travis tell JA he hated her or hated what she'd done in one of those last text conversations?

yep I thought it had something to do with her bogus Pedophilia stories. TA never spelled out exactly what he was talking about to my knowledge.

Not much space at the Yreka Sheriff's department is there? During the interrogation I've heard dish washing, the microwave going, laughing, the stairs, a constant stream of doors opening and closing.

I want to send these poor detectives flowers :tyou: and a can of WD-40.

TV and Movie cops definitely have better accommodations than real ones do. The break room in those videos is right behind the room Jodi is in. At first when I heard the microwave beeping, I thought it was one of our phones.

Video 12 starting at 17:40 :great:

Gave me chills.. the introduction.

In my book too Detective, mine too.

ETA: Not Video 11 I meant video 12. I got all teary eyed and excited.

I liked how when Det. Flores ended the interview and left the room, he just said, "ok," walked out, and shut the door behind him.

Didn't even say good bye to her.

I think her head was spinning for a bit after that. She had just spent hours with this guy and I think she probably believed they had developed some personal rapport.

I caught that....it was funny to watch. And that was after she had whined about the lady detective and liked him better.

I wondered too if she knew she was being recorded? Some of her actions suggest she was playing to the camera (the head stand, for example) but other actions -- like playing with the tape recorder while she is alone -- make me question this.

What was funny was that, at one point, she takes the small cassette out of the tape recorder and looks at it before putting it back in. Flores enters just at that moment, says something and then takes the recorder, as if he accidentally forgot it.

I truly think she had no idea that there was a camera there. She was in her small town police station meaning, I don't think she thought her rinky dink town would have a hidden camera in the room.

I once was down at my local pd station, talking to an officer about some scam artist. At the time I didn't for one second think about them video recording the meeting just because it's such a small town but looking back realize the whole interview probably was recorded.

After seeing her put the paper that she took from the pad and stuffing it in her pants I'm really convinced she didn't know.

That's what I hear also.

ditto. i would have missed that altogether because i fast forwarded through most of her time alone. 'still hate me...brat?' that's what it sounds like to me.

wow. after watching all these, i must say she's one sick puppy. she's even sicker than i thought she was, which is saying something.

this is a dangerous person. even if you took out ALL her words and looked at her demeanor only.....

is this a woman who was defending herself against a man that she still loved even though he abused her?

or is this a woman who accomplished what she set out to do, who always knew there was a chance she'd be caught, and who STILL feels like it was worth it?

it's obvious to me.

BBM. i'm not even sure you can have rooms like that in a police station without a camera. they're in there with suspects. someone has to watch what's going on in there in case something happens. it's not that big a deal or expense to stick another camera in. i think most all of them have other cameras around. they HAVE to.

Want to thank David Lohr for obtaining and uploading these interrogation tapes. They are very much appreciated. Still working my way through them.

As usual I'm late to the proverbial party. Thanks to all who had a hand in getting these uploaded and posted here! Big thanks!

So wow. Lady cop in #6 is basically giving her the outline of the story she's using now. Why do they do this? They have so much evidence, why give her outs over and over? At any rate, it seems like Jodi cribs a lot off of others. No doubt Nurmi would have come up with it on his own but he/they didn't even have to think about it in this case.

I think the female detective did a good job. After watching these videos I am so much more convinced that she planned this murder. I never believed her self defense case, it was merely something her and the DT came up with after lots of time and money.

Imagine if she had really killed Travis in self defense. If that were the case at some point during the interrogation she would have broke down and said "I dropped his camera and he flipped out". I can't for one minute see how a truly abused woman, after holding everything in for that amount of time wouldn't have turned into a blubbering mess, telling them everything. Especially given both detectives asking if things just got out of control.

She knew she premeditated all this and thought if she just insisted that she had nothing to do with it then she could get out of it. Lawyers say never admit, so she wasn't going to.

A person who killed in self defense would have broken down and told the truth. She is a cold blooded premeditated murderer and I pray the jury focus on that day, June 4th 2008 and discuss her explanation and come to the conclusion that it makes no sense.
Firstly, she said she was on her knees when she dropped TAs camera and he stepped out, picked her up(causing her feet to leave the ground) and body slammed her. If she were on her knees then this doesn't make sense.
Second, if body slammed how did she get up and away from him?
Then after her fake went to the closet story and shoots him he again attacks her like a linebacker and they fall to the ground. This would be twice that he attacked her but she got away from him. Lastly how can Travis be standing at a sink spaying blood all over but she again can't get away?
The DT spent so much time trying to fill this case with filler such as her terrible childhood, Travis' abuse and hoping the jury will have pity on her or simply get caught up on all this nonsense but I think the jury will come to their senses and after some discussion remember what's important and what is important is June 4th 2008.
Anyway if I were a juror that's what I would concentrate on.:moo:

I listened several times with different ear buds. My hubby has a really expensive pair of beats ear buds but I just couldn't make it out. I think it's just a matter of time now that they're out before someone figures it out.
As with every other aspect of this case it'll be a waiting game. I really can't wait for the trial to be over to hear from the jurors and for all the sealed documents to come out. I bet we'll all be shocked at some of the things we find out later after she's sitting on DR.

i like logic.

it's illogical to believe a woman would sit in jail for years charged with first degree murder, facing the death penalty, because she was trying to defend a dead man's reputation.

that makes NO sense. that's what this case boils down to.

OK....to put this question to bed, I downloaded the video, converted it to mp3 and pulled it into a program I use to enhance audio quality, which I do for my work as a transcriptionist.

She definitely says, "still beat me? brat" as if she's carrying on some inner dialogue.

how long can they keep things sealed? does anyone know? i would think some of the best stuff will stay sealed because she'll appeal this case for years and years.

it's frustrating because i think we're only getting the very TIP of the iceberg when it comes to this case and we may never know much more.

After this trial, we might be pleasantly surprised by the friends, relatives, ex-lovers who come forward with stories.

Try this one on...

Considering the conversations they'd been having prior to June 4, in that context, this works. Her threatening him, him refusing to give her the upper hand.

"I'll beat you, (win) Jodi" "(think you'll) still beat me? brat."
