Happy is not even a great a word as I am about this girl and her life being spared by that nut!

Jaycee was blessed and was protected..I wish all captured persons would also turn up alive...

As bad as some pervs are...
sparing the children is a good thing they do..
sparing anyone is a good thing to do..
why kill people anyway?
I never understood why the pervs kill?
I mean it is bad enouigh what they do to them why make it worse?

Again...my prayers and best wishes to Jaycee,her children & the whole family..
I do hope they all recover and in time enjoy being together again...:sunshine:

the theories being floated around here in the years proceed jaycee's rescue were that convicte kidnappers who murdered the victim took her. we can be thankful that turned out to be untrue......now jaycee and her girls have a chance at a good life

It comes from Shayna's recent bulletin board at Myspace.
She is very excited about the web site that she has been working on,
& wants people to know it will be up soon. Also the fund raiser on itunes.
I have never used itunes but I will ask my Niece to show me how.

I'm not copying/pasting the entire bulletin from Shayna because that is something California, has said she will be doing.

According to Shayna's MS page, she is disgusted with the recent headlines and says they are trying to lay low and enjoy being a family. Also, she says they're looking forward to the most thankful Thanksgiving of all. She just updated 11/23.

I bet it was the most wonderful Thanksgiving ever for the whole family.

For Jaycee, I'm sure she has many fond memories of Thanksgiving when she was a child.

For Jaycee's two daughters, it was probably the first really happy Thanksgiving.

For Terry, I'm sure this Thanksgiving was the most joyous ever.

The whole family has so much to be thankful for...............

I hope the holidays bring the family true joy and happiness. I'm sure Christmas will be very special this year.

SACRAMENTO - Jaycee Dugard and her daughters remain in seclusion, but after 18 years in captivity, Jaycee celebrated her first Thanksgiving back home with family Thursday. But unfortunately, not everything went as planned.

On her Facebook page, Dugard's 19-year-old stepsister Shayna said the family underestimated the time it would take to cook the Thanksgiving turkey and had to resort to ending dessert before the main course.

"Apparently 22-pound turkeys take a really long time to cook, Shayna posted. "Dinner pushed to 3 instead of noon so we are all sitting around laughing & eating the pies first. YUMM!"

That will make for great memories in the future!! I think there are a lot of families who have had the same thing happen!!

I wonder who all was there with a 22 lb turkey? I hope there were a lot of people there to help celebrate!! Hopefully any bad memories or trials of spirit could be on the back burner for the day!
