I think May 2nd is an omen. It's both my husband's and mother's birthday. My mom passed away recently and she followed this case as closely as we do. I say this is a good sign.

If this is true I am ashamed of whoever is behind this. My God it will have been almost 3 YEARS since Casey murdered Caylee. Why is the defense allowed to get away with this nonsense? It could make sense if they were actually working, but they are sitting on their hands. It doesn't matter I guess, I won't forget and I will follow this out to the bitter end.

If this is the case I hope KC is pizzzzzzzzed. She seems to have it set in her mind that she will get off scot-free but this looks like she'll have to spend almost another year in prison than she would have if her attorneys had it together. Also, I really hope SP is is good health and lives to make it to this trial. I think she makes a great witness for the prosecution--who can forget her quote "I think KC hated her mother more than she loved her daughter." Plus, I'd love to see KC's face when her little ole grandma is up there ripping her a new one.

I know, right? The whole thing just sucks out loud. By May '11, Caylee will have been dead longer than she was alive. :furious:

I hope the defense isn't banking on the public forgetting. We have very loooooooong memories.

Retribution

THOUGH the mills of God grind slowly,
Yet they grind exceeding small;
Though with patience he stands waiting,
With exactness grinds he all.

--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Okay, please somebody just promise me KC has no chance of getting out on bail in the interim. I recall JB snickering about that at her check fraud plea/hearing, and I thought it was a joke. If she's finished her time in OCSO for the check fraud charges could she possibly be bailed out?
Not a chance. She is in there until she is either convicted or found innocent and set free...meanwhile, there she is and there she will stay...at least with this far distant trial date we know she will have served at least longer than Caylee's short life in prison, regardless of the outcome.:furious:

cecybeans, you're scaring me. The thought that she could get out on bail before the trial makes me sick. I really hope that's not the case. AZ lawyer, is that possible? Please say no!

2011? Are you freaking kidding me? Not only that, but it'll start six days before I turn 35. Hey, if ends by my birthday, that would be a hell of a birthday present!

And Casey is okay sitting in jail for yet another year? I am just shaking my head right now...man justice is slooooooooooooow.

Patience is a virtue .... it'll be worth the wait.

The longer the Defense waits to grasp at some more straws, the better the Prosecution case will be. New things turn up......

I see this time as prisoner practice for KC, she is still in jail and I see her getting LIFE either way. KC is going to be frustrated and jaded by then as well, better to really get this done early while they can stage manage her, or try to.

We will have all this time before trial with motions and posturing and then when KC is found guilty there will be as many appeals and media appearances by the A's to claim KC is innocent, a martyr and, was unfairly treated.

Same old, same old.

I see the trial more as a formality, to formally conclude that KC is guilty and her sentence but she will still be in jail and this circus won't go away quietly.

Don't anyone be surprised if KC's lawyers come up with many reasons for even more delays. :banghead: May 2nd, 2011, as a date for the start of trial, may not be carved in stone.

And to think if Casey had accepted the plea bargain before Caylee's body was found she likely would have spent LESS time in the clink than she already has! Granted, she would have had to come up with a good excuse when she accepted the plea, told them where she threw the body, and explain why the child had duct tape over her mouth! Other than that pesky problem, Casey could have copped to an involuntary manslaughter, claimed she was talking on the cellphone while Caylee was swimming (or some such nonsense) and gotten off pretty light. Instead, she's left to chill in the county jail.

I'm sure we've all been through a lot since this started.

Didn't you mean to put 2011 in your title instead of 2010?

I am okay with waiting till later. It's longer that KC can sit in jail & rot. Mean of me . . . I know.

An innocent person would be screaming for a speedy trial. I guess we're both mean. If she sits in solitary here or there makes no difference to me.

I don't think they ever requested a speedy trial, if that tells you anything. :)
