Found Deceased UT - Dylan Rounds, 19, Lucin, Box Elder Co, May 2022 #2 *Arrest*

This is one of those cases where I’m against the crowd. I still lean toward Dylan disappeared himself to go live the life he wanted that his parents didn’t approve of, I think he washed some mud off the truck so it didn’t harden and was more work for them, I think he left his boots so they’d recognize he was walking away from that life, I think he accidentally took the key fob with him, so returned it.

Nope. Not seeing this theory whatsoever.

DR has never been described as cruel. And no son would knowingly inflict such agony on his parents. The interviews are difficult to watch.

I've wondered if JB intentionally left the Ford fob at Don's when he dropped off his black powder guns and ammo for safekeeping-- along with the Winchester that Don initially kept as his own before turning it over to LE. Not wanting to implicate anyone or get involved, he may have returned the key fob to DR's trailer and never said a word. Stranger things have happened in that desert. MOO

A couple of days ago Dylan's mom was interviewed on DutyRon yt channel again. She mentioned a few details that I have not seen before. Apparently JB stated that he had to move the grain truck. Dylan's parents are meeting with BECSO investigators on Monday. They still request another agency take the lead.

To my knowledge, JB has only been charged in federal court for the gun violation (possession by a felon). He does have prior charges pending in Utah court for earlier assault.

Confirmed -- see entry #21 dated 8/26/22 on the federal docket. The Certificate of Compliance is a couple of pages that provide a description of the discovery but there are no actual Court Exhibits of any photographs, receipt copies, or polygraph results, etc. as described.

The criminal complaint against JB was initially filed on 6/29/22 (entry #1) under federal case number 2:22-mj-00439-DAO-1 but was terminated on 7/6/22.

The new federal case #2:22cr00245 has since been opened and the case merged after a hearing was ordered on 7/8/22 before Judge Wells.

Yesterday a youtuber, who is a paralegal (different from the one who is attending current hearings), uploaded an audio of JB's 2011 court hearing in which his prior felonies are discussed, including the one from Maine.

Thanks, @indicolite22 for this information.

Since JB's current federal case is under a protection order by the Court, we should expect that there will be no criminal history publically available under his case except for what comes up inside the federal courtroom where no live reporting/cameras are allowed.

I know there should be some comfort that JB is jailed but I don't think confidence will kick in until we learn that evidence supporting probable cause has entered the picture. MOO

I don't believe Box Elder County Sheriff Office was successful at regaining the confidence of Dylan's parents during the meeting yesterday.

Sheriff Potter will be releasing a press release in the near future. It will explain their intent to remain LEAD agency in the criminal investigation into the disappearance of Dylan Rounds.

There is no evidence in Montbello of foul play in regards to Dylan being harmed there.

What I find strange is on May 28th at 6:51am Dylan makes a phone call to his grandmother telling her he can't talk
because its starting to rain and he has to bing his grain truck into the shed so the seeds won't get wet.
Why wouldn't he call his grandmother after putting the grain truck into the shed to have more time to talk to her.
Unless he had a pre-arraingned phone call early that morning perhaps around 7am that would require his undivided attention to tell his grandmother some important information that he only wanted to tell her.

This is one strange story for sure. I just don't see him wandering off on his own to start a new life. Possible? Yes, Probable? No. As Mulder says "The Truth is Out There".

Why would an adult decide to leave like that? He isn't married, he doesn't have children. He can go wherever he wants, nobody can stop him. So why run? That idea makes zero sense. He had be living on his own since he was a teenager. Something bad happened to him, it's almost silly to think he just decided to leave and hide.

Not to mention this also would not be a criminal investigation if he was believed voluntarily missing!
