I was going to say the same thing. No matter what, he wasn’t serving any significant time.

Not for a first time offense (in court), and not with the type of leeway afforded to the defense in a case of that nature.

He said, she said. Obviously, I believe her account though.

Yeah, you're probably right about that, but one does wonder whether filing official rape charges would have been enough to get him kicked out of the country, regardless of whether or not he was convicted.

Probably depends on what his legal status was at the time.

I think we've now officially exceeded our quota of unanswerable questions and/or moot points for the day.

JMO.

Does anyone know how long it should take to drive from the park to his house at 3AM? He arrived in 8 minutes from Lyft dropoff. This seems pretty fast to me, if he attacked her in a premeditated manner in the car. Not enough time for a struggle. Also, if he attacked her in the car, I would think he would have gone straight to dispose of the body, not to his house right off. This leads me to believe she made it to the house. I also believe AA's ultimate purpose and goal with ML was sex and control. Under his terms. In his house.

I do think somewhere along the way, ML rejected him. At the house. Or even during the car ride. Maybe she asked to get out of the car and things went down from there. ML may have gotten the vibe that AA was not who he was pretending to be and that she was in danger. This was not part of AA's plan, and he snapped. Maybe she ran and tried to escape from the house. And she made it to the door trying to get out and that's why they are examining the doors?

Given his profile, I bet AA has always considered killing in the back of his mind, if he doesn't get what he wants. I wouldn't be surprised if he routinely went to his dates/encounters ready to kill if he needs to. Another woman reported that he insisted first on picking her up. When she refused, he insisted they meet in a public parking lot and then get into his car to go on the date. When she refused, he lost his sh** verbally. I believe this is why he met ML at the park. This is what AA does to maintain the power and control he wants. He intentionally tries to look "safe" by suggesting a "public" meeting place. The woman will have no car at his house and can't escape/just leave on her own terms.

Perhaps he routinely carried items in the car he would need to attack if the moment presented himself. If he didn't purchase the zip ties after he killed her, (we only heard about a gas can), we know he had quick access to zip ties in his home. Therefore, AA may only comfortable in his house and in his car. No way he was going to have another rape accusation if a woman refused his advances.

R.I.P. Mackenzie.

All pure speculation on my part.
There is a south bound freeway entrance right by Hatch park. I feel like it would take more than 7-8 minutes to get from there to his house (about 2 exits away), but again, it was 3 am. I’m sure he had the roads to himself. I think the time frame is accurate.

His house is right off 600 N, which is the freeway exit road, just a few blocks west of the freeway exit. Easy access for sure.

Also in regard to the wording in the documents about "a person later identified" as AA. I suspect he was probably saved in her phone contacts as AJ--it seems to have been his preferred nickname. So, it would have taken some legwork to determine/confirm who that was. Likewise, they may have just had the phone number, as provided by the phone records, and then would have had to confirm the identity. I don't think it necessarily means he was contacting her with a false name, though I believe he definitely had false pretenses, at least about what he wanted. :(

AJ might be his nickname but also isn't his legal name. LE still had to trace it back to his location. And they did.

Why wouldn’t he give them away as a set for free? Why separate. This guy seriously strange.
Probably thought he was covering his tracks even more by having them go to separate places. Since those were clearly so important but his phone GPS wasn’t to lead them right where they needed to go. What a turd.

I noticed the charging documents state he is a “permanent resident” and it can be assumed that he might try to flee as part of the request for his being held without bail.

Maybe he isn’t a citizen after all. What a waste that phony marriage was if he didn’t even do that right.

I never said it is illegal under federal law, I said it is illegal in the United States for good reason. In many counties in Nevada it is illegal and I don't see that changing soon.

AA is being charged under Utah jurisdiction, is he not?

JMO
The USA does not deem prostitution to be illegal.

I think that is very specific when its said. "Permanent resident". If he was a citizen then they wouldnt say permanent resident, imo. I know there is some doubt on that front but I bet he ends up being a green card holder.

Prostitution will always be a crime. Not even Las Vegas allows it. Prostitutes are the victims and they don't have parents they can lean on for financial or emotional support. But ML did have parents to lean on as well as a wide circle of friends. Friends know who their friends are dating and there doesn't seem to be any friends of ML who knew about AA.

Most parents of college students would be mortified to learn their daughter is exchanging sex for money because it is a crime. Yes, education is expensive but there are ways to pay for it such as student loans and parental student loans in addition to scholarships. Revenge *advertiser censored* is a crime in many states because men use it to blackmail women. It is a form of manipulation and control.

I have yet to see any proof ML wanted to have sex with AA.

BBM...wasn’t there a male friend who warned ML about AA? Said he got bad vibes.

I am out of town, just got to service. Astonishing. No words in regards to PC. Sickening maybe is one.

My only question, that may have been answered already, just can't read through 64 pages right now...

If the zip ties and rope were still in place, that would be after the attempted cremation at his home... and then transport to LC...

I would think if her remains were charred that the zip ties and rope would be burned or not in place. Is it possible he tied them for ease of transporting her into the thick woods. It would be difficult to carry a corpse and that would seem to help?

We heard of him one time—he talked to a reporter the day that AA was arrested. We don’t have any confirmation that he was for real—the story sounded genuine to me, but other people here thought he might have just been an attention seeker.
