Going to be interesting to see what his defense tries to pretend happened. Also interesting to see who ends up as his lawyer. (Already fascinating to see how fast Ms Gustin bailed—he obviously wasn’t going to add to her distinguished resume of acquittals.)

Yeah, the fact that she is off the case is the least surprising thing ever.

Her words told us all there was to know about that. She wanted no part in this.

I still think a plea is more probable than not, but you never know. He may not be smart enough to see the writing on the wall.

Woke up this morning really surprised to see they found more evidence! Thank you all for keeping up with this as it unfolds. Doing my best to stay caught up!
I cannot imagine what you, her other friends, and her family are going through. I think about this constantly. I believe justice will be served to this monster - JMO.

Anyone know if the murkiness of that water is normal? Seems awfully dark considering there is no noticeable movement. Don't envy diver in there after reading previous comments of how the homeless use it. Double yuck.

Would now be a convenient time for you to walk your dog? Preferably, with camera in hand? :) MOO

I'd definitely head over there if I weren't at work. :( I walked her the other direction this morning, so just south of this, otherwise I probably would have walked right into this whole thing. I usually walk some time between 8 and 830AM

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Social media posts suggest Mackenzie Lueck, missing for over a week now, was interested in “sugar daddy” type relationships, raising questions about whether or not it played a part in her disappearance.

KSL Investigates obtained what appears to be a dating profile for the missing 23-year-old on a website called Seeking Arrangements. The site claims to match younger individuals looking for older, more affluent people for dates – sometimes in exchange for money.

The website maps its most active cities. The Salt Lake valley appears in red, indicating the number of users – as do other high-density areas across the country.

[...]

However, De La Cruz acknowledged, “once a conversation between two members moves off site, there is no way for us to monitor what happens.”

She said there are 31,476 users of the site in Utah.

The Utah Attorney General’s Office was unaware of this type of dating when contacted Wednesday. A spokesperson said the office would recommend users follow common online dating safety practices, such as meeting in a public place, verifying a person’s details, and not sharing personal information too soon in a potential relationship. bbm

I’m not too concerned by the items on top of that tarp. I imagine that these dive teams have a lot of equipment, to include items that they transport in cases.

Just because we may be seeing something, doesn’t mean that it is evidence.

Exactly. Also, the waterway in search is directly beneath a bridge, and I'm sure many items located there my not be related to this case. The suitcase however would be significant, and easily identified by the diver or parks employee. MOO

I think we are supposed to stay away from this topic

Hi there big guy! I took a break from KLs case when Savannah's body was finally found. I've missed posting with all of you.

I think AA is a raging narcissistic pyshcopath, and rarely do they admit blame no matter how obvious or severe the evidence against them may be.

Most of the time this type of individual pleads NG. It is a second chance for them to relive their horrific crimes just like Charles Merritt was able to do who is another psychopath. They also fully believe they can hoodwink at least one juror who will not vote to convict or will note vote for death. Imo

Also some murders are so horrific, and brutal the DA will refuse to do a plea deal, and if it is a DP state they will refuse to take it off the table. Imo, this case is such case where the DP is the only just applicable punishment under Utah law.

What does AAs attorney have to bargain with to get him a plea deal? Nada. Zip. Zilch.

In fact even before the new evidence was located the DA has more than enough evidence to prove the case BARD. Imo. In fact I think his jury will not have any doubt at all he did these unspeakable violent acts.

Imo, sadistic brutal monsters like AA are absolutely the definition of the worst among the worst in Utah state's criminal justice system.

Some cases are just too heinous for the DA to make a plea deal with the 'devil.'

No doubt this is one of those horrific cases where the DA must send a strong message that whoever rises to this level of depravity will receive the harshest punishment allowed in that state.

So, imo he will not plead guilty nor will the DA make a deal with AA. As it proceeds further the DA will announce they will seek the DP. Imoo
