I have not heard that but I would like to know if it's true. I've wondered if the perp had posed as SD somehow and contacted her that way. I'm not sure how he could have pulled it off, though.
It's just one possibility I haven't ruled out yet. Imo

Aside from POI's self promotion, he comes across as narc to me.

I also believe it's possible that POI may have a profile on SB/D sites as man seeking a sugar mommy.

MOO

ETA: Not meaning that POI seeking that arrangement with ML but they may be acquainted by mutual interest. He's an alleged IT specialist after all.

Something that is not making sense to me is why he would post the boxspring on facebook marketplace under his real account. Based on his work history, he certainly would know how to use a VPN to conceal his IP and could've posted it on a site like craigslist more anonymously.

The boxspring was listed after the announcement that the FBI was involved. Say he went through all the premeditative actions of not being caught on camera at the airport, meeting at a park that was in the opposite direction of both their homes, etc...why would he use his own facebook account to get rid of an object containing evidence? That seems like one of the worst ways to dispose of evidence, even renting a truck to dump it somewhere would be more low-key. Sure, there would be a record that he rented a truck, but that is a lot easier to explain than a public social media post complete with a photo of the object he wants distanced from himself.

my-resume

Here is a link to AA's full resume. Link was on his linkedin page. It gives a little bit more information to the depth of his IT skills and work history. According to the resume he worked for the US Army for 2 years, so maybe he was not discharged.

edit: Also claims he went to a university in London

I take this with a grain of salt, mainly because I have a difficult time believing postings on SM sites. Sometimes, LinkedIn is an embellished resume. I work in Academia, I've witnessed much - with both domestic and international students - LOL!

Why would he go to the trouble of covering up for the person staying in his home though...going to the trouble to have a "bonfire" and sale the mattress if he didn't do it?

*that's if he is in fact the perp.

I can only imagine that, theoretically, someone might go into denial and think "no, a murder can't have been committed in my airbnb room, and I need the cash for renting the room, so I'll go into denial and just get rid of the mattress and get a new one." They might not have made the connection to ML being missing.

And I think LE are going to have to make sure the owner is 'the one' and not just someone caught up in it who should have called it in but didn't.

And he put the mattress on a 'for sale' type site instead of dumping it properly in a way that it would be harder to connect with him if it was found, or harder to find if police found him. I can't imagine him trying to sell it if it has a huge blood stain on it.

But now LE have taken him in for questioning, they can compare what they discover through further investigation of him and what they've taken from the property, and dot i's and cross t's before they decide to arrest him and on what grounds, or if the evidence leads to another person, and this one could be relatively innocent or an accessory after the fact.

I'm just saying that imho these are potential reasons why they might hold back on making an arrest at this time. Also, a POI is a different status from suspect.

There could also be other things in play that mean that now is not a sensible time to make an arrest.

This assumes any of his work bio is completely true, though. I have my doubts right now.

In the Airbnb link , was the woman he is pictured with white or black?

I came across a Tumblr site that she had commented on. The pictures she commented on are of a black lady and submitted by her husband it appears by the username. It concerned me at the time that someone from that site could have contacted her as it definitely seems seedier than even the dating apps she was on.

who commented on?? Kenzie?

To get rid of it fast

I am taking his Linked In and professional accomplishments with a grain of salt. Just because someone says they have worked somewhere or done something, that doesn't mean any of it is true. Will be interesting to see if the Army or Goldman Sachs or any of these other places can confirm his bio.

So true!

We’ll hear from a man who shared an apartment with the “person of interest” in the #MackenzieLueck disappearance. The apartment where they lived is across the street from Hatch Park, where she was last seen. Story at 5 @fox13

yes but PommyMommy is compiling links connected to him ... doesn't mean we believe anything he's written

He probably burned the sheets in his bon fire.
If this is true, I wonder why he waited so long? Neighbors reported the fire starting last Friday & going for a few days. That was the same day this thread opened, the same day MSM was really beginning to report. If ML died early on a Monday morning, why wait 4 days to ditch all traces? He could have gotten rid of tiny bags all over SLC by then.

From the looks of his photos, he spends most of his time in the gym and not at any employer.

MOO sorry, but wouldn't a body would smell like bbq
and luggage of burning plastic?

No. BBQ’s smell good. The burned body I saw at a ME’s office while I was there doing a cornea recovery smelled horrid. This person had died in a car fire and so s/he was not able to be put in a body bag so the smell was very strong.

ETA the one I smelled had been dead a few weeks and was still trying to be identified. So that may have contributed to the smell. It was in the ME’s cooler but after that long and just sitting up on a gurney (in the driving position) with nothing like a body bag containing any of the smell, I think that may have made the smell worse.

All of his CourseHero work he posted

Does anyone happen to have a subscription to the website CourseHero? There is an essay on there that AJ wrote for school about Mirror Lake, which is one hour from where he lives. I can only see a preview, and it’s possibly nothing, but do wonder what his relationship to this place may be and if it’s relevant at all.

Friday was the day after she was reported missing and possibly the first day he saw any reports about her in the news. (That's the day my son found out from Instagram.) Maybe being the narcissist he is, he thought he didn't have anything to worry about. Nobody would connect her to him. Is it just me?

Everytime I see POI, I read "."
