I am wondering if they knew what friend she was supposed to have gone off with? Did she go with people to that shopping center? Hopefully they got something from the video that will be helpful. Maybe it is someone that lives in that area that can shed some light on her day/evening. A work friend maybe?

This has been over 3 weeks now. I'm sure both VB and Chesapeake PD's have interviewed the husband and all the friends they could identify. According to FB, she had one brother who is already deceased and her father is in Florida. I have to believe LE has contacted him because at least the media has because he said he spoke her just before she was last seen. That was how they knew she said was spending the night at a friend's place in VB.

I don't believe this is a suicide because they would have found her by now. This is looking more and more like foul play as each day passes.

13 news just posted on their Facebook that police have found her remains. Will post link as soon as they post it. Rip brianna. So incredibly sad.

Re-reading the article on wtkr.com, it seems her remains were found May 31st and have just been identified. I wonder why we didn't hear anything about the remains May 31st. Or did I just miss it?

Oh I'll bet they know who did it.
I can't wait to.see who they arrest.

RIP Brianna. Thoughts & prayers for those who knew her.

RIP Brianna

Even though we were sure this was going to be the outcome for Brianna, it is still sad. I hope the person who killed her is arrested quickly.

The 4000 block of Douglas. If this is the section I think it is a 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile section between the 4 lane Hwy 17 and the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. The trail is only open between sunup and sundown. No motor vehicles allowed except for the city park rangers. It deadends at the trail and to the best of my knowledge only the park rangers have the key to the gate and they sometimes enter or exit the Trail there.

There no houses or businesses -just woods - in that section and hardly anyone except someone living in the immediate area on the other side of Hwy 17 knows about it. Even a lot of the trail users don't know about it. It's probably 12-15 miles from Brianna's Chesapeake residence.

~Police said today that her death has been reclassified from a missing person to a homicide, but he did not know her cause of death. A friend was the last person to see Armstrong, about 10 p.m. on May 7 in the 500 block of Kempsville Road, according to Chesapeake police spokeswoman Kelly O'Sullivan. Armstrong's husband had seen her at about 7:30 that night. She lived in the 2800 block of Mark St. in Chesapeake.

Varying stories I see....
