Yes, but if the point was to divert attention away from the true scene, then looking immediately isn't a problem and might even be desirable. While everybody's looking where she said she was, they could be hiding her in the opposite direction or something.
I was discussing this with another friend. We began to wonder if the text was meant to lure her friend to The Corner (near 14th St.) I read the phone actually pinged from the location associated within that text message. But she had, a half hour earlier been over near Grady.
Two things really concern me. Morgan Harrington's Pantera t-shirt was found near Grady and 14th/15th St area, correct. So, Hannah leaves the party, that was a block and a half from her own apartment, at about midnight, correct? Then 30-45 minutes later she is many blocks NE of the area of the earlier party and seen on video tape in front of McGrady's Irish Pub. Then, another half hour later, her phone is back near the corner. She knew that area...why say, "I'm lost...come find me...?
The other thing that concerns me is that Samantha Clarke disappeared on the same date, 4 years ago. Hannah's situation is almost exactly like MH's, drunk, goes off on her own. The Daily mail states that Hannah's text got more erratic over the last hour or so. Just like MH was described as erratic. It makes me believe that someone drugged her drinks...such as we considered with MH.
"She told him that she was leaving and going home. He asked if he could walk her home and she said no she was fine. He stayed and she left.'
Over the next 35 minutes she sent increasingly erratic texts to her friends.
'One text message said, 'I'm lost in the area of 14th and Wertland' which is the area she was in,' said Pleasants. 'It's in an area she's very familiar with.'
Just after 1.30 her phone was either switched off or ran out of batteries and she has not been heard from since."
