I keep wondering if the suspect in MH's case gets others guys, guys like Randy Allen Taylor and the young people he hung around, to hang on the perimeter of these parties, then lace the girl's drinks and just wait for them to stagger away alone. Where then this "Sketch" guy takes control. I believe he either somehow gets others to help him and possibly participate in whatever happens when the girl is taken away. If he was seen just a few days ago in Lexington....which is really only about a half hour from C-ville...then he was just lying in wait for an impaired alone young woman and just the right opportunity.

So, Hannah leaves the party, that was a block and a half from her own apartment, at about midnight, correct? Then 30-45 minutes later she is many blocks NE of the area of the earlier party and seen on video tape in front of McGrady's Irish Pub. Then, another half hour later, her phone is back near the corner. She knew that area...why say, "I'm lost...come find me...?

Snipped and BBM.

Hannah's case reminds me of a scary night my freshman year in college. I was at a party in an apartment two blocks from my dorm. I left the party alone, intoxicated, and got lost. I couldn't find the dorm. I knew the area very well and the only reason I was lost was because of the amount of alcohol I had consumed. It scares me to this day that I put myself in that position and I'm grateful that nothing bad happened. I remember being very confused about where I was and how I just wanted to lay down on the ground and sleep. I remember a voice in me telling me not to lay down but to keep walking. I finally found my dorm, but by pure luck, not because I navigated my way to it.

I believe the text that says she is lost means that she was indeed lost, though, of course, a perp could've written it. But I don't think someone would bother doing that. I think she was intoxicated and lost, even in a neighborhood she was familiar with.

My heart goes out to her, and I want her found SOON.

I've often wondered if Taylor was bird-dogging for somebody else. Which would imply that that someone else could have other people working for him.

Wow. There is actually a suspect in Morgan's case? Who is he, what does he do for a living (besides ... well, you know)????

Exactly, which would explain how it is that Randy Taylor says he knows where Alexis Murphy's remains are located. Because he was the lure and whatever happened after he witnessed.

Long story short on the suspect in MH's case. They have a sketch because he brutally beat & raped a woman in Fairfax City in 2005 and they have his DNA in both cases BUT he is not in any DNA database.

Yes, she apparently scratched and clawed at him so much that her fingernail was completely torn off at the base. Chilling... on the other question... I've actually been by the place that the earlier attack happened near Fairfax. (My daughter attends GMU). It's maybe 6 to 8 miles from campus....but he was apparently startled and fled..but there was enough DNA from the attack, to keep a sample that ended up matching the sample found on poor Morgan Harrington. I had never thought of the correlation to university.. but that is very interesing and astute for you to bring that up. Wouldn't have to be faculty... could be sports coach or staff related...but for both attacks to happen so close to two universities in state.... makes one think this could be an individual who worked at GMU prior to 2005 and now works at UVA....or a spouse of an employee.

Or someone who worked for an events security group like RMC, out of Richmond, that was JPJ arena the night MH disappeared. He could also be a facilities/maintenance/food service employee for universities or subcontractor...catering services who either serves or delivers food items for the events at the arenas.

Bill, I am sorry for your loss. I hope that you and your family one day soon get closure.

Are the number of cases in Virginia higher than other locations? It does seem like an awful lot, but I don't know how it really compares. The missing forums here are always sadly so full.

No idea. When they processed the DNA on Morgan's shirt, they got a cold hit on a 2005 rape in Fairfax, VA. There's a sketch of that suspect.

I don't see how Morgan's suspected killer could be "spotted" in the area if it is not known who he is. And wouldn't the police have been contacted instantly? Is it just someone who resembles the sketch? Often, sketches are not very close. Jmo

But he was spotted today, so he must have name.
Actually, he was spotted a few days before the sighting was reported. I suspect that whoever spotted the possible "Sketch" guy wasn't certain but decided to report it after the Hannah Graham case gained more publicity. So, if it was him, he was there between Friday and Sunday.

Is this just some random person who thinks the sketch matches this person they saw? I mean, it seems to me if this guy is hanging around and looks like the suspect, wouldn't police want to talk to him, give him a cigarette, something??????

I wonder how legitimate the W&L sighting is. It's possibly people around campuses are more alert and edgy and that this suspect has just been re publicized with this new attention.

I live in Orange and have second hand connections to both Hannah and Morgan so this case is extra upsetting to me.

They probably would, and they're probably muttering under their breath that the person who saw him didn't report it right away.
