Accused. I read that there wasn't evidence to charge but I also read the girl dropped charges, so who knows what's true?!

I might get crap for saying this, but to me LJ isn't a bad looking guy. Peoples are acting like he would have a hard time picking up a woman. I agree his behavior seemed overly friendly, but I've known many people like that. I'm a very introverted person, so extreme extroverts make me uncomfortable. I do not think that it is out of the realm of possibility that she found him attractive and went for a drink willingly.

And to be honest, it seems the most likely she got into his car willingly as well, although very intoxicated.

With HG being falling-down drunk, JM might have taken her back to his apartment. If she woke up later and freaked out, JM may have done something to her at that time. She didn't get reported missing for almost 40 hours, and a lot could have happened in that time period. JMO

He had 2 roommates. Don't know if they were there, though. I think LE has interviewed them. JMO

Each report I have read says the victim did not press charges. I have also read that there was no forensic evidence they could use, so it might have been decided it was too difficult to get a conviction.....?

So Hannah WAS in Tempo bar that night? She must have been in there to walk out. Wonder why the owner has changed his tune. Last thing we heard Hannah hadn't been seen in there, now the owner remembers her enough to say she was barely able to walk! Wonder if the mention of at least one eyewitness placing Hannah there suddenly refreshed his memory!

In the same article she reports that Hannah was never inside, was not served... bad reporting.

I appreciate your honesty, I don't see scary when looking at him, he is not a bad looking guy. I do not think she was interested in him that way though, I truly feel that she just wanted a ride back, even though I still am not sure why she went downtown to begin with.

It doesn't take a genius to kill someone or get away with it imo.. I think we all know of plenty of them especially from here at WS in the cases we follow that are still walking around or are in jail on lesser charges none of them being masterminds or genius.

agreed to me it sounded like typical drunk guy at a bar or club.

my going out college days were from 1997-2001 and boys did not touch us in bars unless we were obviously flirting back and allowing advances. this guy was grabbing a girls leg that repeatedly told him to stop. he took a girl's sock off. this is not normal bar behavior. if he knew the girls, maybe i'd call it normal for a drunk guy. like if your stupid boyfriend's drunk best friend was picking on you taking off sock etc. but for some guy that is 32 years old that you were JUST introduced to, no way.

I am really surprised about the lack of info about the other people at the apartment. Roommates? Friends? Family? If roommate(s), they could have info about the timeline and JM's whereabouts. I'm sure LE has covered these bases if they were willing to talk.

I brought this up yesterday, very interesting that we've heard NOTHING about said roommates.

Where and when did they drink the beers tho? It doesn't look like there's outdoor seating or a drinking area outside Tempo... maybe HG did get inside Tempo and (if drugs were used) they drank their drinks and by the time they were seen leaving where he's holding her steady, the drugs kicked in... I think it's more likely she was inside Tempo between 1:09 (when he bought two drinks according to receipts) and the time they were spotted walking away up 5th street at around 1:40 am jmo...

Dunno. Were they walking up 5th toward the mall or toward the cross street? Tempo is not on the mall. "Abby" reportedly said that she thought he may have left out the side door. I don't see a side door but there is another door on 5th past the main door toward the cross st (can't remember the name). I thought that possibly HG was waiting for him around the corner and he went out the side door, met HG where she was, both drank the beers, but he had tainted hers and at 1:45 they are seen walking towards the mall past the main doors of Tempo. (The reverse is true if they were seen walking AWAY from the mall. Just guessing.........either that or she WAS inside and nobody saw her or they are lying......JMO

If you look closely at the still of him from the mall video, it looks like he's wearing crocs with white socks.

Just an aside: Alot of OR people wear crocs at work, so his wearing crocs does not seem unusual to me.

As a woman not too far from Hannah's age I find him absolutely hideous and cannot imagine her being in the slightest bit attracted to him.

I'm 24, don't think his appearance is bad... I think I'm seeing him as "scary" because I'm connoting him with a murder suspect. On the other hand, I would never, ever, ever be into a guy who behaved the way JM apparently does around women. I don't even like it when strange men talk to me, partly because I've never actually been available... But if a guy I didn't know came up to me and grabbed me I would have a heart attack. I would not be attracted to JM for that reason.

Well we don't know do we? But we do know the University considered it serious enough to expel him (former athlete of the year - redshirted freshman- kind of a big deal if you know football) - and we do know she was at the hospital for treatment. I think it's pretty safe to assume he did something to her.

On the other hand, JM is... 32, right? When I was 18, I would not have been interested in a 32 year old. I don't know if I even would be now. I have a very flimsy idea of my own "preferences" because I've only had one boyfriend, lol. As far as I know, it's pretty average for a girl to have a 2-6 year age gap tolerance until she's in her 30's.

Also, I can't speak for Hannah, this is JMO, but I think when younger girls date older guys, it's partly because they're sick of how immature college-aged guys can be. But JM sounds like he fit right in in a raucous college town bar scene... Actually, he didn't even fit in there, he was too obnoxious even for that scene. So he doesn't strike me as a hot older date.
