Wow, is this a tactic by police--release information as they get it?? Is that wise? Can't figure the reason for releasing so much, other than to maybe jog memories?

Well, it flushed the guy in the video out. He went to the police himself. Why didn't he do that earlier!?! It seems he did it AFTER the news about the video came out. He says he noticed her, knew she was in trouble, would be hard to miss the coverage....yet he goes to police after they release info about him?

So the man following said he noticed a black man? Was he the only one that noticed this black man? Sorry, but as far as I'm aware at this point this guy was the only one on video. And why didn't this concerned citizen contact LE prior to this?

I'm not buying his story just yet.

Video generally can't be challenged on its merits in court. It's pretty cut and dry evidence. When someone is missing, there are literally no reasons I can think of not to release any and all video as it becomes available. The collective public can identify perps and witnesses quicker and easier than a police department.

Having said this, you're correct. LE typically keeps these types of things close to the vest, but that is idiotic, IMO. I've seen countless cases go cold because LE wouldn't share time sensitive and critical information to the public.

Yep. Not buying it. You notice she may be in trouble, then allow another guy to escort her away without question? Not consistent.

Apparently the man noticed Hannah was in trouble, was following in case she was in trouble. Noticed a black male as well, talking with her, holding her arm(!), assumed he was helping her as well.

I wonder what took this man so long to come forward? This is day four for news on this case...it is state-wide news for three or four nights, now. I sincerely hope they vet the heck out of this guy. RAT said Alexis left with a black man. This is getting ridiculous. They could have been working together to abduct HG.

i mean, people are scared about being too close to a crime. we all know stories about innocent people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time and get convicted.
i mean, he very possibly could be directly involved. i'm just saying, don't take his reticence as guilt.

Great point....I wonder if he's the one that also called about seeing the guy from Morgan's perp poster. I hate saying this, don't know a better way to say it, but placing a black guy in the story seems...convenient. Especially since we have not heard about another guy being around.

Like the South Park episode - "some Puerto Rican guy".

Yes - I watched the WTVR (CBS 6 Richmond) report at the top of the 11:00pm newshour. There was no mention of the man in the video having come forward to speak to police. Things are definitely moving swiftly. And yet for Hannah's parents, family, and friends, it probably feels frustratingly slow. I really feel for them... they must be in agony right now.

BREAKING: The male seen in the NEWEST security video walking behind Hannah Graham has been LOCATED, and police just spoke with him. He tells police he was following Hannah that night because she looked distressed, she followed him until she ran into another African American male who put his arm around her, the male in the video then left Hannah with this other male. Police also say now there is no other woman walking with Hannah it is just her reflection.

it has to be one or both of these two guys... the guy who 'helped' her and this mysterious black man who has yet to be seen/confirmed. logistically, the timing is such that the video of hannah and them would have been right before her phone shut off. and hannah being as conscientious as she is... i bet her phone was fully charged. i bet the abductor turned it off.

thanks to the police for moving quickly. time is of the essence.

I think their priority is to find her alive if possible, and building a possible case against someone is secondary at this point. I do agree that the info is coming out way faster than I've seen before.

Let's just hope that it helps to bring her home quickly and alive. I firmly believe that public involvement can help solve cases and the more cases it does the more references there are to show it works.
