cue suicide drama with the suspect
or has that already happened?
IMO that was attention seeking behavior and never his intent or he would have done it long ago. That said, if it weren’t for his threats to commit suicide, I don’t think IH would have been given the AA and attention she received. Happy to say he screwed himself there. JMHO

Agree.

Hey, if my kid's missing, I'll say whatever it takes to issue an AA.

He could have said this months ago during the break up. Who knows, but it sure pushed the investigation up a notch or two.

yes I haven't been following and just getting caught up now I see that there has already been some of that behaviour
I think there's more to come tho - he'll threaten or attempt while in custody IMO

MOO, our fine LE will take care nothing happens to him. He's a local boy.
Oh yes I know they won’t while he is in custody but chances are he will be bonded out.
When this first was unfolding I was holding on to hope that his heart was in the right place and he was trying to help IH and just got way in over his head. But as the days unfolded and we get to Monday night where he doesn’t even respect and take the advice of his own mama it became clear he was not a good country boy. I don’t think men like him can be rehabilitated and so if he wants to take the cowardly way out so be it. I’m just thankful he no longer has the power to take IH’s life with him. Moo

Going willingly with being 14 speaks volumes to me. He had been grooming her. We have seen many cases like this. I don't know if this is one of them but my gut tells me so. IMO
I know I'm (mostly) preaching to the choir here, but I couldn't agree with you more. One of my closest friends had a "consensual" relationship at this age with a man whose children she babysat for. By the time we met, she knew exactly what you said - there is no "going willingly" when you are 14. I watched for two decades as she made inexplicably bad relationship decisions and I always felt in my heart it was because of this first inappropriate "relationship." Happily, in her late 40s she met a wonderful man and got married. It can take a long time to heal from these "consensual" relationships.

I agree.

MOO, this was such a high profile case with SP, FBI, USM, and local LE... I think LE will not risk the bad PR and certainly not paying out on a suicide law suit. We've spent enough Virginia dollars on the guy.

I hope he is alive to stand trial and experience the prison system. Child abusers do not fair well in prison or so I been told. Karma gets then most of the time.

Hope he pleads guilt and IH and her family do not have to experience a trial. Whether this is a state or federal case, I'm sure the inmates will give him a warm and cosy welcome.

Moo...

Arraignment set for alleged abductor after missing Louisa County teen found safe

8News spoke with a woman who said she alerted police after spotting the vehicle Lynch and Hicks were traveling in — a 2003 Toyota Matrix — in Caroline County. The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office said after a ‘pursuit,’ Hicks was unharmed and Lynch was taken into custody.

“We were just doing what anyone would have done,” said the woman, who wished to remain anonymous. “I just did what I would want someone to do if it was my child. That’s all.”

God bless this woman !!
