I've not seen much wrong with the times because they have always had the CCTV footage of her leaving from her own front door, which was recorded as 4.15.
Its the call later that night to her mum which her mum missed that's niggling me.
It could of been from jholie realising she was in danger and tried to reach her mum, but that assumes she was alive and well much later while being with this strange man. I suppose it could have been a pocket dial. Surely if this man had kidnapped her after meeting up with her the first thing he would have done was tsake her phone off her and turn it off so it cannot be tracked. We already know he knew she had her phone. That is, if we can believe the boy that it was a much older man.
I think the story with the boy is true a part from who actually used his phone. I think he is covering for someone he knew, maybe a brother, cousin or someone he is scared of in the neighborhood.

This is important......LE knows something.

"Fairfax County police declined to say what prompted officers to look in the location for the body, which was discovered behind a pair of tennis courts and was almost completely concealed."

I agree with you 100%. There is that statement again that it was the 2nd time searching the park and they hoped to find her alive.
Didn't the boy say someone asked to use his phone near a tennis court. Will have to go and search back.
Why wouldn't her friends be cooperative either.

.

NBC and Fox5 were the only ones reporting this, as reported from her mother. There is no confirmation from any other source other than TIME who quoted NBC. Fox5 only reported it once Jan 18 below.

I can't find where it was ever reported again.

According to article, it was a basketball court. It could have been the same park, though, where she was later found (if they also had basketball court there).

"Cyrille Moussa said the boy told him that he was playing basketball in the neighborhood when another man asked to use his phone to make a call. The man was a dark-skinned man with short twist-curls in his hair."

Fox5 confirmed with LE the text to the sister about going to a party in Norfolk. We have LE confirmation that this text exist.

"Moussa’s mother, Syreeta Hill,*told FOX 5 DC her daughter left home at about 4:15 p.m., telling her twin sister*she was going to a party in Norfolk.*Police said they looked into that tip, but it did not pan out."

The Washington Post reports the text was st 8:12 pm. My opinion she was gone before this time and this text was posted by someone else as an attempt at diversion.

"The post said Jholie told her sister that she would be right back, but didn't text her again until 8:02 p.m. to say she was going to a party in Norfolk, Va. That was the last time she was heard from."

The LE haven't said how long she's been dead yet have they? Why would they think they was going to find her alive? I think I does all center around the park she was found. It would be good if a local could tell us if they have tennis and basketball facilities in the park she was found.

Jmo I don’t think the police could have saved her, as she was very likely killed long before she was even reported missing. And they knew from family that she did leave on her own, voluntarily. It was not out of the question that she stayed away on purpose. I think it is the word “runaway” that is so inflammatory to many. But many more teens return home after taking off on their own than come to harm. It will always be a tough call and LE will always be called to account when the outcome is horrible.

Is this screaming local to anyone besides me? Rest in peace, sweet child, so full of life and promise. No leads still? Locard's exchange principle..must be something there.

That text to her sister about the party was at 8.02pm. We don't know where the phone was when that text was sent or even if it was actually from jholie. That would have been approximately 3 and half hours after jholie left her house.

So last time seen is 1615 & bogus (I think) text at 2002. Slightly less than 4 hours, if my aged brain can still do math. If someone's already posted, sorry, old woman all over the place today.

I think this makes the most sense.
It the highway the neighbor saw jholie on near this park.
Assuming it is. Just say for instance the text jholie got inside her house while doing her sisters hair said meet me on the highway, so she goes waiting there for him (this is where neighbor saw her). The man then uses the boys phone and asks her to meet him in the park instead. That would make it around 5pm she could have met up with him.
Nice find on the park.

You read my mind then lol.. That map looks about right to the scenario I've just said above.
Sunset in Alexandria, VA on January 13, 2018 was 5:09 pm.

I would put time of death between 5 and 6 pm.

IMO, text around 8 pm was after perp was out of the area.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too.
Now thinking about the perp being old or around jholie age. Would a man risk asking a 12 year old to use him phone and leave a witness. Assuming he had already been texting or snapchatting jholie on his own phone before that. Why suddenly use that boys. Unless he was originally contacting her using wi-fi from inside a house then when he went out he had no internet data on his phone.
If that's the case all that, makes me think young lad.
