I hope beyond hope that the jury votes in Johnny’s favor, but like @katydid23 , I have had my heart broken by jury’s in the past. I think that JD’s team did an amazing job showing and proving many, many lies by AH.

The closing arguments made my both Ben and Camille were spot on. I just think the “burden of proof” could be difficult for a jury to come to a unanimous decision. One of the sweetest moments to me of the closing statement was when Ben got very emotional talking about protecting and showing Johnny’s kids to stand up against wrong.

I do think this has helped JD a great deal. He told his story and proved to many that she was just out to destroy him because he couldn’t take her abuse and toxic behavior any longer. The funny thing is her recordings proved his innocence more than her accusations.

I have always believed that those that make false accusations should be held accountable. I don’t care who it is- it is wrong!

Yucca Valley is a hellhole in summer. Really unbearable. Even with AC. I surmise she also must have an apartment closer to LA for work and the summers. On a good day, it's a 2.5 hour drive into central LA from that region.

And that site, with a wash right next to it is full-on coyote, rattlesnake and scorpion territory. Not a place to leave your bedroom doors open at night to let the cooler night air in. I wouldn't be all that comfortable with a toddler or small child unsupervised there. Also doesn't appear to have a perimeter fence or a gate. Looks to have a privacy fence, maybe. No pool or water features. I would want full fencing, a gate, and at least some water feature there.

Yucca Valley has a reputation of being a druggie and low-life hangout, but due to the influx of cash-wealthly young LA types looking for their minimalist or mid-century modern Joshua Tree moments, rather than gated golf-course second homes, it has had a stunning number of 1$million + homes built.

Real estate values are up almost 47%, with the higher numbers trending to have the Joshua Tree zip codes.
There are those of us who find much beauty in the desert (I'm NOT in Yucca Valley). I hate to see AH tarnish it! ;)
The population of Yucca Valley is only 21,701. I would think she would have more privacy and anonymity in a city within a gated community.

Please don't get me wrong. I lived in Tucson, in southern Arizona for some time and there are few places I like more than the desert life.

But it is oppressively hot in the summer. Workmen start at 4 am and knock off at noon because of the searing heat. You have to carry a small towel with you to shield your hand as you open the superhot metal car door handles. You put towels and shields on your car dashboards so they don't crack from the heat.

Yucca Valley is at about 3500 ft elevation so the temps are slightly lower than they would be in Palm Springs at 480 ft elevation or Indio, at -13ft elevation. Those are the places where it is still 100 degrees at midnight in the summer heat waves, like Death Valley.

Former LA district attorney Emily D. Baker believes the question is very good news for one team in the high profile case.

“The fact they’re going to the finding instruction means that they might almost be done. Which means we are definitely on defcon verdict watch,” she said.

“That is going to be the count - if he wins, that is going to be the count he wins on.

“This jury question means that if they’re looking at the finding instructions, maybe they’re ready to start rendering verdicts or at least start taking votes on verdicts now that they understand what they mean. That is a big deal.”

She added that defamation on Heard’s op ed headline was “the strongest count for Depp.”

Very very interesting, thanks for posting this.

I have no idea how any of this works, but it sounds as if this jury has really targeted the specifics of the most significant charge. To me, this is an indicator they are really paying attention.

Looks like an easy target for happy snaps or the drug bender tantrums for the paparazzi. :D

I know that JD has already won, by speaking out, by telling the truth, by vindicating himself.
But I want AH to be held accountable, she has betrayed and caused untold damage to all who have been true victims of abuse. It's personal. I and so many others need this woman to be held accountable and to be found guilty of defamation.

Well, this certainly explains the folks reporting that you could see Ben Chew nodding his head heartily and affirmatively at some point in the discussion…

I went back and quickly looked and all I can find is 26 seconds of it .. posted on JD's evidence on 4/21 .. now I'm going to stay awake all night wondering how I listened to the whole tape and where I found it  I am really disappointed that it's not one of the audios that the jurors can hear.
It’s on YouTube, which I know because that’s how i listened to it... I tried to find it but there are a lot of deceptive folks using deceptive tags for the Google search engines, lol… it’s whomever in the, I think written description on YT, says the uploader has clipped out all the static or cleaning/clanking noises.

First, the jury must find whether Heard made or published any of the following statements…

I spoke up against sexual violence and faced our culture's wrath that has to change," "Then two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse and I felt the full force of our culture's wrath for women who speak out," and "I had the rare vantage point of seeing in real time how institutions protect men accused of abuse."

I think that will be a definite YES for all 3 statements because she retweeted the link and took ownership by saying 'I published this new article...'

Then, they must decide if any of Heard's statements imply or insinuate anything about Depp and whether Heard's statements were seen by someone other than Depp

Obviously seen by others besides Depp, and they do insinuate things about Depp as he is her only ex-husband . And she admitted it was written by her about Depp because he was too powerful.

Jurors have the option to continue to speculate whether Heard's statements convey a defamatory implication to someone who saw them besides Depp and if there are false implications or insinuations about Depp in Heard's statements. They will also judge if Heard made the statements with actual malice.

I think the jury might find that there are false implications and insinuations about Depp because of the many inconsistencies and testimonies by others who refute her versions of some events.

I think they can find malice because she secretly alerted TMZ to come film the TRO and the bruise incident and she gave them the cabinet incident she had secretly filmed.

Sorry, not that I have seen… I may have missed something though. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in scrolling down these super blandly named files, lol.

Hey @rebelchild , quoting myself to give an answer… this is the latter link:

Important to keep in mind that if there were some uncut version on the evidence site, it would be hours longer, as the uploader admits he has edited out extraneous junk...

don’t forget to listen to the end, so you can hear her un duct taping the phone from under the counter or similar where she stuck it.

The actor, who plays Nereus in the films, told Redline Steel CEO Colin Wayne: “She was great. I worked with her on the first Aquaman, now the second one. We shot last fall in London.”

He continued; “She’s terrific, I had a great experience with her. She’s very kind, nice to the crew, nice to everybody, just down to earth. She had her newborn baby with her on set with the nanny which was kind of cute.”

"Amber could have chopped it off with an axe and it has nothing to do with whether or not Mr. Depp abused her," he said, adding, "She didn't but it doesn't matter."

He insisted that only one of Heard's abuse claims needed to be true for her to win the case. He added that this can take the form of mental, psychological or financial abuse, and that jurors don't necessarily need to believe that physical abuse occurred.

(This article states financial abuse. I don't remember BR saying that nor that the jury needs to necessarily believe that physical abuse occurred. Am I wrong?)

Depp's attorneys argued that Heard's attorney Benjamin Rottenborn told the jury its final verdict in the case would send a message to "every victim of domestic abuse everywhere."

The language could potentially shift the jurors to weigh in on domestic violence as a social issue and away from the facts of the case, Depp’s attorney’s argued.

"Such argument by Ms. Heard’s counsel improperly invites the jury to decide the case ‘based on passion and prejudice’ and a specific jury instruction is necessary to cure this impropriety," they said.
