and even that seems to be based on AH's account. I believe the only thing JD admitted was his addiction to pain meds (was it Roxi something?) .. he did not believe he had any other addictions and had never been treated for any others? Not that he didn't drink and smoke mary jane (is that still a word?) lol I'm showing my age. I know he drank and done some drugs like half of hollywood .. but I do think AH tried to make it look way worse then what it was.

AH side seemed to imply he had ingested an entire pharmacy IMO

Johnny Depp is called back to the witness stand

The first witness after the break is Johnny Depp once again.

He is being asked about statements that one of his attorneys, Adam Waldman, made in 2020 - which are the basis of Amber Heard's counterclaim for libel against her ex-husband.

Depp tells the court that the first time he saw the statements was in August 2020, when Heard launched her countersuit.

The time limits are not clear to me. If AH's team runs out of time how will it effect JD's team?
they can call witnesses and then it will be up to judge to allow a very timed brief cross. Apparently it is not legal to deny them any cross. This info just from reading and listening to many sites...may not be correct.

I think her testimony was effective and to the point. However because she did not experience this side of him at a different time in both of their lives does not mean it did not happen during the relationship at question. Maybe they brought out the best in each other as I think VP did with JD. The relationship of AH and DP was toxic almost from the beginning. Again I see why they brought her in and I think it was good for JD but don't know who much weight I would give it as a juror. I would love to see VP testify as to a REAL long term relationship with him and did she ever see that side of JD. She has not been mentioned and I am sure JD does not want the mother of his children on the stand or video.
BBM Yes, her testimony was effective. All she had to do was prove to the jury was she was not pushed, kicked, shoved etc...by DJ down those stairs. It was a lie and KM was extremely effective.

I agree. JD is an addict. I don't think that makes him toxic. I think AH is toxic and JD coped with it the best he knew how, by stepping up the alcohol/drug use.
what is have always contented is the "relationship" was toxic. This can happen...not that each individual is toxic or that blame can be allocated to each side ...the point is together they were toxic..Not sure that is up for debate.

This is expected to go to the jury Friday, May 27, before the Memorial Day holiday, correct?

One of the law sites said it would go to the jury "next Friday" , which would have been June 3. "This Friday" seems to be term they should have used, IMHO>.
