US 'has identified' Islamic State hostage executioner

The United States believes it has identified the masked ISIL militant who murdered two kidnapped American journalists and a British aid worker in separate videotaped beheadings, according to FBI chief James Comey.

Mr Comey did not give the man’s name or nationality and declined to give further details on the suspect.

I'm confused why this is just now making it here in the US when this info's been available since Aug. I think we posted this same article below in the Foley thread...BTW, his dad is a major Al-Qaeda player and is incarcerated here in the US. Last name is Bary or Bari, both have been printed.

Jihadi John — who cruelly beheaded American journalist James Foley in a video released by the terror group Islamic State last week — is believed to be Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, Bari's 23-year-old son, who left the million-dollar home in Maida Vale, London, which he shared with his mother Ragaa and five sisters, to fight with the ruthless group which has run rampage through Syria and Iraq.

He was arrested again when the United States applied for his extradition on the same charges that the British had dismissed and he was then held in Long Lartin and Manchester prisons, at one time going on hunger strike to protest what he considered racist treatment by guards and orders that all phone calls had to be made in English not Arabic.

According to his indictment in the embassy bombing case, current al-Qaeda head Ayman al Zawahiri appointed him head of the London cell of Egyptian Islamic Jihad in May 1996.

The next year he leased an office in Beethoven Street, just off London's Kilburn Lane.

That office became bin Laden's 'media information office,' the indictment says.

It was also set up to ' to provide a cover for activity in support of al Qaeda’s “military” activities, including the recruitment of military trainees, the disbursement of funds and the procurement of necessary equipment (including satellite telephones) and necessary services.

'In addition, the London office served as a conduit for messages, including reports on military and security matters from various al Qaeda cells, including the Kenyan cell, to al Qaeda’s headquarters.'

Bari 'made efforts to facilitate the delivery of fake travel documents to co-conspirators who were members or associates of Egyptian Islamic Jihad in Holland and Albania,' the indictment says.

Living in poverty to living in a million dollar home...

I remember reading a long time ago that a martyr's family receives a large payout, so just wondering since hubby was a lieutenant to BinLaden and son gave his life up for IS, was there any kind of subsidy given/funneled or is it due to hard work by a talented designer/seamstress?

I'm not of the same mindset. I think they knew what their goal was waaay before they came here. I do believe it was to use every bit of their asylum status to mooch off our govt aid, get the best free schooling, move on to one of the best universities in our nation free of charge by purposely living either in or near poverty level do as to be approved for free financial aid, then use those more educated minds to help implode the USA.

I think there are various foreign families in the US that have come here under political asylum but are here under a false guise, therefore able to infiltrate political positions while being funded by govt with an agenda...all for the purpose to aiding the fall of this country.

I'm wondering if it's possible to either link all of the IS / ISIS / ISIL / ISLAMIC STATE threads together into the very first one or maybe even a forum of their own since they're all related. It's so confusing bc these threads are all over the place and there's info to be had from them.

These cases are all horrific, but this particular case is very devastating. If you read anything about this man....all the fundraising and personal sacrifice he took simply to help his fellow mankind....it is humbling.

BBC News has a wonderful profile on Alan Henning.

"When he was taken he was driving an ambulance full of food and water to be handed out to anyone in need," she said.

"His purpose for being there was no more and no less. This was an act of sheer compassion."
