Oh, that is the worst idea ever...

If Courtney is saying it is the worst idea ever then you know it is really bad. [emoji8]
I really can't believe that would ever cross anyone's mind. What is the thought process that gets you to "let's build a sandbox on the grave of a child so our kids won't be sad"?

No, vasportsmom, it was a serious suggestion to build a sandbox at the gravesite. I saw that comment with my own eyes.

This is becoming a sideshow at Noah's grave. Bring your kids to a park to play and stop using this poor dead child's grave as a photo op to make yourselves feel relevant. They are acting like this is the coolest, most interesting thing to happen to them and they want to milk it for all it's worth.

Why don't we set up our weirdo pavilion at the cemetary so we all feel cool? Let's hire a professional photographer so that our smiling photos are better than everyone else? What is wrong with people? Those 2 pages need to be shut down.

I'm so sad for Noah, in life he was neglected and abused. In death his grave is being abused and littered. :( This poor baby boy.

sounds like they are all on drugs. Do these people feel guilty now that they didn't do something earlier to save baby A and Noah from abuse and his death???

Not only that, one of the members that posts on both pages and has taken a lot of the pics, has set up a PO Box to send stuff to take to the grave! Another Admin thinks people should include $$ to help cover gas!!! :gaah: AND if you look at the other graves in the Cemetery, they keep the graves clear for mowing purposes. Its that way here also in most cemetery's. Most have signs stating what can and cant be left, and the winter / holiday months they are more lax on it. This is beyond crazy lol. Seems gets crazier with ea case.

All of this is so wrong on so many levels. Start a nonprofit in Noah's name, or an education fund or something.

This just seems a lazy (and potentially profitable) way to seem important.

This has been said before, but I am saying it again. There are so many better ways to honor Noah than by decorating his resting place. Donate to the fund set up for his sister, donate to his school, etc. Offering to receive and deliver items to the cemetery and then ask for gas money seems wrong. I feel like there are better ways of spending money to honor Noah.

Thanks to all that can read those FB pages..............I can't, just get sick to my stomach that these low lifes want their 10 minutes of fame...........

It feels like he is being used for bragging rights and FB views. There is nothing appropriate about that. It is time to let him rest in peace and stop making his short life a celebration of his final resting place.

I feel like they should donate to my internet service bill for having to read all that dumb crap.

I'm late in this conversation, but delurking to say please save me a seat at the weirdo table. When I saw the suggestion on the HFN Facebook page, that Noah's grave should be made into a sandbox for the children to play in because that would make them feel better--I had to pick my jaw off the floor. I'm sure everyone has good intentions for all of these things, but that suggestion is beyond comprehension.

What??? No way! I definitely wasn't expecting to read that this morning.

We all know that you're at work and your employer is paying for your time and data.

I am respectfully taking a big step back from Noah's case for a bit. I will cruise by to look for breaking news or official info but honestly, I cannot look at those Facebook pages anymore - either of them. And right now...it seems that is all we have. Water seeks it's own level and I do not want to be on that level. Hopefully, we will have something real to go from sooner than later.

I'm sure the cemetery has rules and would never allow something so tasteless. Tell me that won't happen!

LOL.
I can't read it, I just tried. I feel like I should pay you for all the real and accurate information! Maybe we could set up a Courtney page?
It's surely in bad taste. Thank you for caring.

:cow:

Entirely understandable. I did too. TBH when I think of Noah I Google him for any news on the COD, MOD and arrests.
Nothing.

I don't know, Anna. I'm a big buff of old historic cemeteries, and in most cases, those cemeteries are still being used for current burials. I am very surprised at what some newer gravesites look like - basically, like a birthday party just left their litter there. I have seen piles of beer cans (that were actually placed as part of a memorial), a collection of windchimes that you can hear all over the cemetery, a tricycle, a grouping of Disney trademarked images forming a headstone (little mermaid, Cinderella, etc.). On the one hand, it seems so out of place next to the dignified other tombstones - but I kind of get it. People reacting in pain and loss often do things that would seem odd. So I wouldn't be all that surprised to see a sandbox plopped right down in front of a tombstone. I would only hope people don't take their children to play there.

I really hope you're right, AnnaGrace! Surely at least cemetery regulations would prevent something so disrespectful from being done? My Dad had a beautiful bench put in near my Grandmother's grave because my Grandfather liked to go visit and his knees were so bad. But a sandbox would be like my Dad setting up a game of horseshoes on top of Grandma's grave so Grandpa could have something fun to do while he was there. It's not a place for parties and fun. It's called a "grave"site for a reason. I keep picturing Darlie Routier. It's gross.
