DM and MS are celebrating their one week anniversary since verdict - hope it's been a great first week, getting used to their new digs and all....

I wonder if they've been moved yet or are still stuck in Barton jail.

Martha Stewart did a few good articles on Decor for Smaller Spaces.

Was studying what prisoners are allowed in their cell--no wifi, just DOS and up to Windows 98, no communicative games.

I think their flirtation with modern technology and gaming to-date may very well bring on anxiety attacks while having to use outdated old junk.

I doubt those restrictions are up to date - Win 98 isn't supported anymore by Microsoft. Times change.

Was just looking at Facebook. It's been a long time since I looked at the LB Facebook. I remember her and AM were friends but also on her friend's list is notably CN's friend mentioned in the letters that DM was asking her about.

I also find it interesting this person is friends with AM. And we're to believe CN didn't talk to AM at all when her bestie and him are still Facebook friends? Hmmm

Try it. It will ask for the owners Apple password.

It's been a couple years since I've reset one, but now that you mention this, I believe your right

That's the point. They have to use old stuff. They don't want any possibility of letting them communicate with the outside world.

my last post wasn't very respectful, sorry, how unthoughtful of me, i do have these visions though of these guys when they get to the big house, curled up in a corner sucking their thumbs, saying "mommy", like Jim Carrey in the Pet Detective... but i'm sure they're feeling safe and secure, and sleeping well where ever they are.

Today is 7 days since we heard that satisfying word, GUILTY (twice).

I really don't care about DM. His goose was cooked from the beginning.

For me, the greatest satisfaction was in MS being found GUILTY.

When this degenerate loser got on the stand and lied through his teeth, he did not fool me or the jury, thankfully.

Seeing this piece of human garbage sent to the big house for the next 25 years was by far, more satisfying than the obvious psycho DM.

I don't feel like DM's GUILTY verdict was all that satisfying because it was SO OBVIOUS.

But MS's GUILTY verdict was exponentially more satifying. Because it was right, because it was deserved, and because he failed to trick those that mattered the most....the jury.

I once called MS a 'wannabe gangster'. Well, he's no longer a 'wannabe'. He's now offically full on gangster. Good for him. He finally got what he craved for. LOSER. Serial Killer. Murderer. Pathetic low life .

I hope to God that prison life makes his heart skip a beat every half hour on the hour for the next 25 years...or until someone on the inside takes him out.

And to think, some people believed him.

If you look into AM's facebook page he has a video on it with DM starting up a helicopter and near the end of the video you can clearly see his 'ambition' tattoo on his right wrist.

Apparently this is very true. I know a crew who went to work on a job being done at where these 2 were staying (prior to the trial starting), and they were told they MUST turn their cellphones off... because if the inmates heard or saw the cellphones, it would make them go ape-nuts. I couldn't figure it out at the time, but I guess they'd just die to get their hands on some of that modern techno stuff.

Just simply being escorted to where the men were to be working, they came back retelling interesting tales of things they had witnessed on their way. It ain't pretty. At the time, before knowing much about the evidence to be presented in this trial, I was thinking to myself, no wonder they're keeping DM in solitary, with him having been raised as a 'rich kid', that kind of stuff would be intolerable for him.. little did I know that he would fit right in!

I think it is more complicated than that. Perhaps one of our more legal types can chime in on this. First, I believe it is at the judge's discretion. Next, I'm not sure that that law applies unless the multiple murder victims are all from the same trial. And third, I'm not certain that when they're adding on the second sentence, that they add it on for the exact number of years. I have read it and I'm still confused.

Apparently our new PM is overhauling the cruel punishment which our last PM had brought into effect.

Yes it is up to the Judge but it can bring DM up to 75 years before he is eligible for parole. If he is convicted of all three murders. Before this changed it would only have been 25 years for parole eligibility. Discounts for multiple murders is what it was referred to. Killers could murder more then one person and be eligible for parole in 25 years. They/killers considered it a "bonus kill". That has changed since 2011.

It does not have to be from the same trial. That's not how I'm reading it anyways.

745.21 (1) Where a jury finds an accused guilty of murder and that accused has previously been convicted of murder, the judge presiding at the trial shall, before discharging the jury, put to them the following question:

You have found the accused guilty of murder. The law requires that I now pronounce a sentence of imprisonment for life against the accused. Do you wish to make any recommendation with respect to the period without eligibility for parole to be served for this murder consecutively to the period without eligibility for parole imposed for the previous murder? You are not required to make any recommendation, but if you do, your recommendation will be considered by me when I make my determination.

Here's the Amended 2011 "Protecting Canadians by Ending Sentence Discounts for Multiple Murders Act"
