When Jodi was arrested, I would guess that she probably had a net worth somewhere between -$20,000 to -$50,000. She owed money to her parents, her grandparents, Travis, Darryl, and no telling who else. Her mother said that she charged her $3,000 mortgage payments to her credit card. This must be counting paying for food, electricity, and other things because I think Darryl said the total mortgage payment was $2800. Her mother said that she had declared bankruptcy before. She sure was the businesswoman.
Einstein, she's not! The decision to buy the house with Darryl as an investment", i.e. 'flipping' was not too smart, considering he did not even have a job at the time - they had to use her credit. When they went into foreclosure, she had used up her #10K in savings and started using credit cards to pay the mortgage thinking, as her father said, that she could 'dig her way out'! Who in the heck was advising her??? Of course, she wouldn't listen to anyone who tried to pound some sense into her head.
Nearly homeless, she finds out about PPL - a multi-level marketing scheme. She takes off for Las Vegas, meets Travis, and starts her next adventure. She quickly learns that PPL is not going to pay the bills for her and she decides she is going to be Mrs. Travis Alexander - by hook or by crook.
She pawns herself off as a 'photographer' in order to give herself respectability and starts mining for gold in the Mormon community. She wastes no time in telling Travis she wanted to convert to Mormonism - he sent the missionaries to Palm Desert to prepare her. She gets baptized while still living with DB and sneaking off to motels with Travis.
The next chapter should be titled: Evil visits the Mormon community - and Travis Alexander.
There are no words to describe what this monster did to Travis - a man who had such compassion for friends and strangers. Tonight on Dr. D., Chris Hughes related an awe-inspiring story about a night when Travis spotted a homeless guy on the street, stopped his car, took the guy home where he showered and fed him, and then found him a job at a local restaurant! (He would have been a great character witness for Travis).
Jodi Arias is the worst of the worst! Travis wouldn't harm a fly! He treated all of his g/f's like queens - generous to a fault. JA conned him into thinking she was going to commit suicide if he left her. He told Chris Hughes he couldn't bear to have that on his conscience!!!
What JA has done to Travis in this trial is nearly as bad as what she did to him in his shower. Juan took this murder personally - he knows the evil that lurks in this monster's soul-less body. She will get the DP....and I hope she rots in h*ll!!!!
