Does anyone know if the jury gets to hear the victim impact statements? Is that something they would hear after they have to listen to the mitigation specialist, or is it something read outside their presence? I would hope it is something they hear, to counter balance what they hear from the MS when they are coming to their decision to put her to death.

IKWYM! This morning my hubby was watching a nature show and it was all about elephants! And then the next show was a show about a safari to mark and registered animals and that included elephants too!

I am hoping the elephants are a sign from Travis
(for those that don't know, one of Travis' sisters keeps getting dreams about Travis and elephants so the family has kind of "adopted" elephants as a symbol of Travis.)

BTW, I read somehere that Bryan Carr died a couple of months ago. I wondered why he hasn't been in the courtroom (At least I haven't SEEN him in the courtroom). Can anyone verify this?

I don't know about Bryan Carr. There was that youtube video dedicated to him, showing how Jodi's timeline could not work. (Sorry, I didn't know that video would show up like that. Deleted it now, it is on youtube. Timeline by David Michael.)

I cannot remember what site I ended up on by googling blood atonement but it was an interesting read, especially the one for "infidelity"...how often did we hear that term by the defense? Jodi and Travis were not married, not even in a relationship. I didn't even reference the Mason symbols but should have caught it on her "battered" Snow White drawing.

You know many years ago when I was going through a hard time (relationship stuff) one morning I was getting ready to go to university. I opened the door (it was winter) and found a brand new silver ring with the word 'Faith' engraved on it. It was brand-new still in its cover. I did ask around to see if anyone had lost their ring but no one had. Needless to say I was amazed and held on to that ring for dear life. I kept it so safely but as soon as the relationship issues were over I couldn't find it anymore.

That's cause she doesn't think he's "worthy" enough for her attention or obedience. Have you noticed how attentive Jodi is to JW, to JSS (she gives her that "puppy dog" look when looking to see if she will sustain or overrule Juan's objection), to Nurmi, to ALV, Dr. Samuels, Mit. Spec. and basically any one else who is on her side and "above her." She is completely oblivious to people like the guard or her family.

The thing that pisses me off is that Nurmi knows she said that. And by objecting to it several times, he's trying to convince the jury she didn't. If anyone has a doubt, they can get the transcript read back to them, but it was a cheap move on Nurmi's part to act like JM was wrong about that.

Until JM gave his closing argument I don't think Nurmi or JW really understood the significance of the 3rd gas can, it seemed they just thought JM was trying to catch her in another lie instead of it being the necesasary item to get her all the way through Arizona without any gas purchases. Sort of like they didn't notice the hidden messages in the magazines.

Once he realized it he threw it into his closing with no thought or finesse at all, 'Oh! She probably returned it to another store!' Almost funny if it hadn't been so insane to lie to the jury during the one time he really needs them to believe him.

How sad that after a difficult life his father was getting control of his addictions and getting closer to his children and then died. Then to use this treasured photo as a basis for her sick accusations is beyond evil IMO.

To me, I have always seen little things that happens as a good sign. Finding a lucky penny on the ground or seeing a butterfly are all good things to me. So I have hoped for signs that this case will end in Jodi getting the death penalty.

I think she will be completely stoic. No emotion what so ever. The reason I think this is because she is already working on her appeal and she thinks she will get out, no matter what. I get this impression from her tweat yesterday where she says it would be great if she could shed the spotlight on Juan's lies in a court of law. She thinks shes going to walk no matter what the verdict is. She is fearless, smarter than all of us.

I think she also took Juan on as a challenge. When Det. Flores told her Juan was the #1 prosecutor. Right then and there it was her against Juan and in her demented mind he should never and could never win. I predict no reaction at all.
