Jodi tweeted that Juan lied many times. I wish she'd detail what the lies were.

Here's my plan for Verdict Watch tomorrow:

I am in desperate need of going grocery shopping. (I didn't go yesterday because I had to make a path thru the dust bunnies to get to the shower and kitchen.:floorlaugh:) Today…it is the NASCAR race, so tomorrow it is.

I will go to a Super Walmart in Salem, OR. I will do my grocery shopping, but if I get the text that a verdict has been reached I will wheel my buggy to the electronics department and plant myself in front of the TVs. When an associate asks if they can help me I'll ask them to change the channel to HLN. I figure since Walmart was such a prominent figure in this trial they will be more than happy to accommodate me.

If for some reason they should they say no, I will loudly announce, "THERE'S A VERDICT IN THE JODI ARAIS TRIAL! COME OVER HERE, BY THE TV's!" After the mob assembles, I'm sure we will prevail.

I'll forgo my dignity for Travis Victor Alexander.

haha...kinda funny, but myself and a co-worker have decided if we are on the road we will be going into a Walmart as well...

Isn't it just a sad show to see JA's 'support group' consisting of mom and twin all poker faced (unless they are laughing), the ex con wo-man Donovan and pal, and now they have to slap a ribbon on poor old grammy and wheel her in. Poor woman can't even stay awake. I wonder if she even knows what's going on in that room. I hope they let her stay home for the reading of the verdict. I'd hate to see them have to wake her up to tell her what the verdict is.

Don't you find it very strange that Momma has gotten all pally with Donovan? Weirdness.

I thought it was kind of cruel of them to wheel GrandMa into the courtroom knowing it was GrandMa's stolen gun in the commission of the crime.

She has a boyfriend? And whatever happened to Carr? Haven't heard anything about him lately. The OTHER SIDE said a while ago that Jodi said not to listen to a word he was saying because he was full of crap (kindof like Ryan Burns I guess).

Yeah I think those comments about him made him flee! I'm sure felt used like used toilet paper.

Possible captions ...

Are you talking about me?
I've got a list ... want to be on it?
Remember what I said: No jury will convict me!

What caption do you think fits this creepy picture?

Yes, that's my year-round TAN :spinner:

I just had a thought about the weapons. It's so obvious to me that the fact that she took the weapons with her and disposed of them points to premeditation.

If she really killed him either a) in the heat of passion or b) in self defense, she would have have NO reason to take the weapons and dispose of them because they would have been from Travis' house.

But, the fact that she took them with her and disposed of them in a place where I believe they will never be found tells me that the sole reason she took them is because she knows if they were found, they would point directly back to her. So, she felt she had to take them with her otherwise there would be no way to avoid premeditated murder.

That's why she invented her "fog" (yeah right) and made up the story about Travis having a gun and also why she said she had a vague memory of putting the knife in the dishwasher. She knows she brought those weapons with her specifically to murder Travis, but she knew she had to take them with her.

the only thing i wish JM had done is explain that she used both weapons to stage the scene----she wanted it to look like 2 assailants.

i know i'm a broken record on this but listening to her very early phone calls with flores convinced me of this----she told him it would take TWO people to subdue TA because he was 'so strong.' it's the REASON she took 2 weapons and used them both.

so i wish JM had said she shot a dead man in the head so that gun would be used, completely her 'plan' of staging the scene. just in case any juror is wondering why she would do that.

I am sure you have prob discussed this already, but I was reading one of the minute entries on the Maricopa site for this case.....the mitigation specialist submitted to be paid for 100 hours.....for what??? passing notes??

http://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/what-is-a-mitigation-specialist-in-a-dea-66616/

I really didn't know what a mit specialist was SUPPOSED to do and found this....

this one should certainly never be used again ever...especially when the State is paying her fees.

i agree with you, but would just add the DT was free to find such a witness and they didn't. that says to me they couldn't find anyone to disagree with dr. horn. it would've been huge for them to dispute his findings.

didn't happen.

I was thinking the same thing but in the end I figured they would just harp on the idea that Horn lied.

I have never heard that term before. I do not condone him drinking and driving...but I do feel bad for him....

Oh me either...and I have no idea why it makes me laugh...God knows if I were a juror on this trial I would probably have to imbibe on the weekend...I really dont think its funny at all...and I do feel bad for the guy...

And Juan was happy to get rid of #8. The bottom line is we don't know what any of these jurors are really thinking. We just have to pray they possess common sense and can see the truth!

Not being at all snarky, this is a serious question - how, exactly, do we know that Juan was happy to get rid of #8? :waitasec:

I thought it was kind of cruel of them to wheel GrandMa into the courtroom knowing it was GrandMa's stolen gun in the commission of the crime.

Nothing sacred. Aren't they the same brood who whinged about TA's side taking off the ribbons while they've got the nerve to wear DV ribbons?

Didn't Sandy Arias get popped for attempting to rent a getaway car for her spawn, as well as trying to shop the forged pedo letters?

Propping grams in a seat doesn't seem like too much of a stretch for them, does it? :help:

that he was going to expose her...what he was going to expose, we don't know. But JM said after that text exchange on 5/28 she started planning to kill him.

I think she threatened to send the secretly recorded May 10 phone sex tape to his friends and church/bishop if he didn't take her to Cancun, believing he'd be too humiliated to let that happen. But he didn't bite and instead told her in the May 26 email that if she went through with it, his friends would spit on her etc. She was furious the blackmail plan was going to backfire & humiliate her instead, so that's when murder plan went into full swing beginning with grandpa's gun stolen May 28. MOO~

It will be quite interesting to see who testifies on her behalf during the next phases, and what they have to say about her. And yes, that is total confidence that there will be a next phase... The Secret told me so. :floorlaugh:

I'm hoping we get Bobby and he talks about what an awesome vampire slayer she was. Or perhaps Donovan, talking about how Jodi always puts out the fires that she starts. Maybe her BFF can reminisce about their weed growing days together. Ahh, should be fun.

Yes that is possible I hope it's tomorrow. I don't think she's spending the weekend worried. She doesn't have it in her to think like we do. I'm thinking she's thinking she will get manslaughter. In her own reality she believes she will be found guilty of a lesser! So the jury began deliberating again tomorrow, will she be in a holding cell all day until they reach a verdict. I know that once they do have a verdict the attorneys will return to the courthouse.

I was also thinking that Jeffrey Ashton has kept up with this trial. And is proud of jm. I understand Baez has been in contact with nurmi! He's inserted in some cases giving free advise! Making the call to various attorneys like he was al that and than some.

ITA She has no ability to feel appropriate emotions! I think her attorneys have told her best case scenario manslaughter, but I am positive she still believes she will be walking out of the court house after the verdict. She believes the jury will let her go home.

The fact Baez has inserted himself in this is a testament to how slimy he is and franky how slimy HLN is.

Lol I love your post! I needed a big smile! Don't be like the person that posted here! That when they announced there was a verdict in the Casey Anthony cases, she drove off and left a cart full of groceries as she sped off to hear the verdict lol.:seeya:

Here is the same photo without the white rectangular part showing in it. It's the entire photo, as you can see the white edge of the photo around that area of it.

This line of questioning by Nurmi is absurd.

The TA head is propped up by JA foot and leg and TA arm is held upright by JA in a dragging position. TA is decidedly dead or at least agonal in this photo.
Nurmi = The amount of blood running down his neck is not indicative of a neck slash!!!!

Nonsense!

JA sliced TA neck and severed his left carotid artery and jugular vein. TA head was pointed down during this lethal injury. TA bled out some 4- 5 liters of blood that spilled out on the carpet. Once JA turned the body in recumbent position there was little to no circulating blood that would ooze from the wound.

IMO, this trial has never been about guilt/innocence. Jodi admitted the crime; the jury must decide the DEGREE of guilt.
