Praying, wearing blue and ready.....Come on Justice!

Is it possible jodi wrote that letter? I still feel sorry for the mom. jmho

The fact that JA's family wore battered women ribbons, when they know darn well what a munipulative brat JA is made me lose all respect for them.

JA is the Grim Reaper....she needs to go there herself after doing this awful killing...

Fast?? I am on high calorie, high salt, whole milk, real butter, nothing diet, anything I want to eat diet and can't get above 105#.

You sound like me! And I'm only 5 ft! :floorlaugh:

I don't believe that Sandy Arias typed that letter, but, if she did, she had a lot of input from her daughter. Jodi wrote a five page letter to the same judge four days later begging for her help to keep Nurmi on and when reading the both of them, some words and overall tone seem suspect.

Photoscape is a free picture editor with animated gifs included. But, if you have used 'save image as', you can open any animated gif in Internet Explorer and it should play.

That I wouldn't have known seeing as I use Firefox and hate IE. Good tip though for the IE users.

I think this animation might be causing problems for some because whoever made it typed in a .jpg extension and all animations have to have a .gif extension. My computer will recognize an animated .gif and automatically save it with the .gif extension, but it could be that anyone else might have to do that manually when saving it. But since I tend to change the file names anyway whenever I save an animation I found somewhere on the intertubes I really never think about that and just save it as a .gif without thinking about it.

I found that it's a lot easier to pretend it's just a still image and trust that it was saved as an animation correctly without trying to open it or otherwise mess with it then just use the file name to do what you want with it whether sending in an email or uploading to the web or whatever.

I forgot about the verdict. Is the jury back in there again deliberating? I'm on east coast time and have no idea what time it is in AZ.

I just heard audio in the court room when I pulled up the live feed. Does anyone know if the jury has a question or something? I swore I heard "stand for the jury" and I freaked. Now it's gone.

These past two days feel like they have been the longest of my life.

If I was the jury id fill in the forms then go for lunch then tell the judge. If they go straight to the next phase id want to be fed and comfortable

My boyfriend's 82 year old Mom just called me ....

Hi Honey, I know you are on that internets thing and you will find about about the verdict faster ... so would you please call me so I can get dressed and watch it on TV? Oh and on the internets can you please order me one of those arm flab girdle things to cover up these cafeteria lady arms of mine for Mother's Day? Thanks, dear.

She's never worked in a cafeteria.
I LOVE this woman.

Oh my goodness, she's hysterical, next time you see her give her a hug from a WSer. :)

From my horoscope today -

Today something drives you toward finding the answers you seek. Don't rush the process now ... practicing patience will steer you in the right direction.

I'm sure Sandy will be there for her daughter. I don't begrudge Sandy loving and supporting her daughter but you can surely see from the police interrogation videos Sandy KNEW Jodi was disturbed and had been disturbed for YEARS.
The only thing I can comment on is what's been said about her behavior in court.

If I was in her place I'd want to wrap my arms around the Alexander siblings, and probably apologize for the actions of my daughter.

I just heard that my state is one of 3 that allows juror questions. It is weird that I'm now hoping for jury duty now?!?! :D

"So what standard do you apply?"
You apply "Burden of proof instruction" which tells you proof beyond a reasonable doubt is proof that leaves you "Firmly convinced of defendant's guilt". Firmly convinced is the term.

"Very few things we know in this world with absolute certainty" -- Absolute certainty is not required and it does say in criminal law that the law does not require proof that overcomes every doubt. That's not what we're talking about here. "

Thank you so much .. he is a very clever, careful man. Clearly he does not want another situation like the CA verdict and he is covering all his bases. Good to hear him say that 'absolute certainty' is not required. Juanderful, and thank you for taking the time to find it :)

I'm wearing a blue headband. I miss the old avatars. I knew exactly who it was. I am all kerfluffled now. And this is the end so it would be nice to see everyone's old "faces".

But I understand. I will keep wearing blue, though.

Solidarity rules!

Me too. But they'll be back soon enough. :)

I relate! I don't know how old you are, but up until my mid 40's I had the same issue. Am at 120 now and holding steady - there is hope :)

This might not be popular here, BUT.....

I don't advocate the firing of the 911 operator. Does she need more training? Possibly, but nothing bad happened due to the manner in which she handled the call so for that I'll give her a pass.

MOO.

I appreciate your opinion, but I feel that the chance of that coming home between the time the operator hung up and the police arrived home and doing something awful to the remaining girls was too great for the operator not to be fired. It's like quality assurance for any job. I think this person is in the wrong line of work and should be escorted out of it. JMO.
