WHy does she need that much? Isn't she allowed to spend only like... $40/month or something? I heard that somewhere I think.

Prisons in my state do not have a limit. You can spend whatever you have in your account. Sheriff Joe is pretty hardcore though () so his prisons may have a limit.

Listening to them unedited......like the DT edited them!!

Ya know, the interesting thing about this is that back in the jury room I would listen to that tape again. The defense tried to emphasize everything Travis said and minimize Jodi's part in it. They did that with every piece of evidence they had.

This is a smart jury and I would STUDY what Jodi's part was in this just because of that fact. They know there are a lot of pieces of the puzzle they aren't being shown due to some of the questions they asked, IMO. At least with the tape there is a beginning and end. They will see her leading him IMO.

We have to give the jury the credit they deserve for asking great questions and having common sense.

I'm on the UP side of the roller coaster ride at the moment. Hope I can hang on for a while longer. I just want peace for this family.

My allergies are killing me. My eyes are dry and wicked itchy and the lids are swelling. My head is pounding.

If I can't watch Jodi's face tomorrow when that verdict comes in because of danged allergies ...

P.S.
She is not walking free. No one on that jury is going to want to watch all the reruns of "No jury will ever convict me and you can mark my words on that" or listen forever to Jodi saying, "I hope you marked my words that no jury would ever convict me."

This may be inappropriate but it made me laugh:

“Patience and wisdom walk hand in hand, like two one-armed lovers.” ― Jarod Kintz

So while we are awaiting the verdict let's welcome the "two 1-armed lovers" and believe the jurors are going Murder 1 all the way when convicting the "3holed wonder"!!!! LOL

O/T~ Go Vancouver Canucks. They are playing in San Jose tonight against the Sharks. :rocker:

The sex tape was taken way out of context. imo Jodi clearly led Travis on... but at the beginning I swear I heard Travis say: "How do we do this?". I keep trying to replay it over and over again to hear it.

With that being said, 1 or 2 jurors may be hung up on this darn sex tape!

I firmly believe that was her fantasy not his! She was the one living with a man old enough to be her daddy! She was the one sexually active since 14!Even that guy in Utah said she was very aggressive, I believe her ex's said it too.She is the one who introduced him to anal sex, since he was not the first around that bend!

What I found uncomfortable (putting it mildly) was an adult male referencing it and saying it was "hot".

I would never say a young girl was "dirty" for exploring her innate sexuality. Nothing dirty about that. I never said that. It is a healthy and natural part of sexual development.

I know that expressing my disgust is only going to get me a vacation :scared:, so I am going to make this my last post on the subject. I usually don't even post on adult cases, as I am an advocate for children at risk, but this trial caught my attention.

I will simply wait for the verdict. And sit on my hands.

But what did she tell him she liked? Jodi said herself he would do things for her comfort, such as KY and she mentioned other things. We have no idea what Jodi told Travis prior to this conversation what turns her on. For all we know he was fulfilling HER fantasies by the way he talked to her. We just do not know.

This part of a poem seems to fit my mood...

I am all alone
Between failure
And frustration.

Of course 12-year-old-girls have orgasms (by themselves, hopefully!). Not every one, but it is a completely natural age to masturbate. Hello, puberty means sexual hormones, pretty obviously, right? There is no reason, imho, to act as if a girl that age masturbating would be shameful.

If a girl doesn't feel comfortable about it for herself at that age, that's completely cool, too. But girls enter puberty at young ages, and these things are quite private, so please don't be too quick to think a girl that age having an orgasm would be disgusting. It's well within the range of normal!

I so agree. It's not as though he said she sounded like a five year old. Now that would be truly deviant IMO. Twelve is the cusp of womanhood, and many girls are unfortunately sexually active by that age or are at least starting down that road.

Masturbation and achieving orgasm can start well before puberty. Vouch.

hmm... good points. I was a late bloomer, apparently!

I suppose what I should have said was the idea of a man fantasizing about a 12 year old girl disgusts me, and those men should see 12 year old girls as the barbie-playing, sleepover having CHILDREN that they are. That said, I do not think Travis was fantasizing about little girls. I think it was an offhanded comment taken way too far thanks to JA.

I think the '12 year old' comment issue is a perfect illustration of how Jodi used small mistakes against good people. Travis made that comment because she DID sound like a 12 year old in that conversation, when he added '.. having her first orgasm' it was a step too far ... Jodi knows it and jumps on it straight away, she got him to repeat it, and is still using it against him 5 years later. She's also MAGNIFIED it .. it went from a stupid comment made late at night, to a recorded comment, to a broadcasted comment .. the comment is HUGE now. Much bigger than it's original intention, and much bigger than it's real value. But Jodi has found a way to make it almost bigger than life and sully the reputation of a good man, who made a stupid comment 5 years ago.

I agree, I remember in the final angry text/email exchange, TA said something like "why don't you just get him to tie you in the woods". Weird thing for him to say if it had been his fantasy. When I heard it, made me think it was her fantasy. And for all we know our little britney spears wanna be (JA) had the school girl fantasy too. He might have just been playing along with her fantasy.

Jmo.

I think it was a case of: right girl, wrong time.

While it seems clear from what others said he loved Deanna, at that time he just wasn't ready to marry.

The jury did not see Dr Drew, but they saw an honest (even when it was embarrassing), kind, sweet person who knew Travis very well. She put it on the record that during the entire time they dated Travis never screamed at her, abused her in any way and was a perfect gentleman to her. She also got on the record that while his childhood was difficult, he had many good memories. She also let them know that Travis' dad was getting past his addiction issues before he passed away and Travis loved him. All important (IMO) in combating the BS that the defense said about him.

He proposed to the girl he was dating between his two relationships with Deanna. So it wasn't that he wasn't ready, IMO. Maybe it was that they had had a physical relationship and TA couldn't see himself married to a non-virgin, even if he were the one to take her virginity? Just a thought.

BBM~ Exactly. Jodi saying that alone should be enough imo.

Have you taken anything? I use Chlor-Tripolon for allergies, which oddly I don't have this Spring (yet, lol).

My allergies are killing me. My eyes are dry and wicked itchy and the lids are swelling. My head is pounding.

LOL! Erm....you can also add:

"Problem Child" and "Highway to Hell" to that list!!!

.....and EVIL WOMAN

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R20f-TPKjzc
"Evil Woman"

I've seen a look of evil in your eyes
You've been filling me all full of lies
Sorrow will not change your shameful deeds
Do well best, someone else has better seen

Evil woman, don't you play your games with me
Evil woman, don't you play your games with me

Now I know just what you're looking for
You want me to claim that child you bore
Well you know that it must he not be
And you know the way it got to be

Evil woman, don't you play your games with me
Evil woman, don't you play your games with

Evil woman, don't you play your games with me
Evil woman, don't you play your games with me

Wickedness lies in your moisten lips
Your body moves just like the crack of a whip
Blackness sleeps on top of your stray bed
Do you whish that you could see me dead

Evil woman, don't you play your games with me
Evil woman, don't you play your games with me
Evil woman, don't you play your games with me
Evil woman, don't you play your games with me

Thank you for saying, more succinctly, what I was trying to say in my bumbling fashion.

Is Deanna married now? I think she is but not sure

True! Then she uses that to wear the braids the day she murdered him.

That Jenny lady on DD has a really weird oddly shaped left thumb. What is up with that. She uses the hands and thumb a lot. Maybe she should just tell us what happened. I like her. She seems sincere and smart but I can't stop looking at the thumb.

Since I have served as a juror I have come to the conclusion that a simple IQ test and simple question test should be given potential jurors during the selection process. I think they should have to be qualified to serve on a jury, period. I've seen jurors who I thought had smoked entirely too much MJ over the years and I've seen some who had absolutely no clue why they were on a jury. Some of them just had this blank look on their faces and couldn't recall even the most obviously simple evidence shown during the examinations. Some want to try the case in the juror room only they make up the evidence in their own minds. Some of them don't understand any of the instructions at all. Some of them can't even read the instructions. Think about it, these jurors are deciding actual life and death cases. Scarey.
ETA: This is true, y'all. One juror after looking at actual crime scene photos of two toddlers, one with her throat cut all the way to the spine and one with their intestines spilled out on her bed after being gutted, made the comment "This isn't anything, I"ve seen worse on videos!". I'm not embellishing any, really.

OK, but don't let Dr. Samuels score the tests.
