Amanda Berry just returned to her home.
What an overwhelming moment that must be!

God bless her! Hopefully, she will be allowed the privacy and respect to readjust and heal. (I was thankful that Jaycee Duggard was allowed that privacy.)

Sorry if this has been posted.
New hours meaning every day, like they may be deliberating past today? I hope not!

Tweet from MC courts:

The new hours for the jury in #JodiArias will be 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

He insisted on me having mine . No complaints here! I get his too! :floorlaugh:

J/K I am married to the bestest guy ever!! My high school sweetheart!

LOL!

After getting it wrong in my first marriage I got it right and married the love of my life and my seventh grade sweetheart.:)

I DO loves my man! Swoon! I have been so blessed for the last 30 years. Its been the easiest and most enjoyable journey of our lives. Life is good!

Justice for Travis who should have had a chance to find the love of his life too or finally realize he belonged all along with Deanna.

IMO

Final research essays for my Short Story & Ethics class--a themed College English II class. Most of these essays are in pretty good shape since the students have written four essays prior to this one and since they've been peer-reviewed in class (and in some cases by me).

The idea is to read literary short stories, study a philosopher/ethicist, and then write an essay detailing what that person might think of the characters in the story. So we might study a story by Raymond Carver, for instance, and then determine how an aspect of Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophies might apply. It's a lot of fun.

But for this essay, the students are required to choose their own stories from the anthology, choose a thematic element from the story, and then do research to find a philosopher who has written on that subject. From there, they go on to write the research paper.

From what I gather, you're teaching history, yes? :seeya:

Yes. The Midterms are from a Golden Age Spain class (largely sixteenth century) and an Age of Exploration class, which is also predominately 16th century. They are 400 level courses, most of the students are seniors, so they know how to write papers (for the most part). Yours are almost certainly better written in the main, I would imagine, given your subject. The biggest problem with these is usually the lack of specific supporting evidence drawn from both lectures and reading (I always require both).

Your course sounds very interesting!

Me too!!!!! Married 16 years tomorrow!!

day 4 of deliberations. Ended my lemon water fasting last night as I was feeling weak LOL. Today is a new day and although I'm still concerned the jury hasn't agreed on M1, I woke with a new faith. Even if there are a few hold outs on M1, I firmly believe that the others will NOT budge. There will be no acquittal, no manslaughter. That I do believe 100%. The people in there that believe her guilt will hang strong, I know it. Not that I want a hung jury but in my opinion, that's way better than the other options.

I feel like today something will happen, a note to the judge, a meeting, maybe to announce they need a push or help etc.

BBM :seeya:

This is how I feel too. It's sad though.

I'd like to add - any juror that see's it how I do -M1 premeditated- will not agree to murder 2 either.

The jurors in this case clearly take their duty/obligation seriously and because they do we can all breathe a huge sigh of relief knowing THEY WILL DO THEIR JOB however long it takes.

A fried shrimp sandwich on REAL French Bread, a la New Orleans, is like nothing you will ever eat in your lifetime, except maybe fried softshell crab!

:seeya: Now you're making me hungry!! :) I live allll the way down in the southern most part of Louisiana... I'm lucky when it comes to shrimp & seafood bc my Dad is a commercial fisherman. He's been one all his life! He lives on a waterfront property & has this huge *advertiser censored** shrimping boat parked in the backyard. My Mom even goes out on the water with him for a few weeks at a time.

Justice for Travis TODAY!! It's hard to be patient; we've waited for this for so long!

:ditto:
I can't believe I'm on the first page!!! A first for me!

LOL!

You know folks? Every body seems to be in a super duper mood today? Maybe that's a sign? :great:

:seeya: And can you imagine the "super duper mood" everyone will be in when we hear the words :

:drumroll: . GUILTY - 1st DEGREE . :drumroll:

:great:

My TV is OFF!

Tulessa.. WHAT???

I just can't... Amanda Berry, Benghazi Hearings, Arias & Gosnell Verdict watches.. AND I have Drs appt this afternoon... trying to flip from channel to channel & when verdicts come in I'm in a :panic:

:floorlaugh:

Hi All!

Did she ever say why their relationship ended up not working out? She obviously still cared for him and liked him as a friend. Why weren't they compatible as a couple?

She said on Dr. Drew that the main consequence of his miserable childhood was his inability to commit and his struggle with letting people love him, or find him loveable. I believe that is why they ultimately parted, because he just could not commit to her in marriage.
