Cruz was arrested for criminal threatening on the Tuesday before June 17th, 2010...in Maine. So apparently after MW went missing, he went back to Maine.

He was arrested in Portland on Tuesday night and charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Cruz confronted a woman whose car tires had been slashed and told her, "You better stop talking about me or I'll kill you" before slashing the car's other two tires, said police Lt. Gary Rogers.
Police did not release the name of the victim.
Last month, Cruz was arrested in South Portland on a charge of aggravated drug trafficking, along with two other men from Brooklyn and one from Portland.

and wasn't it August 2010 that he was put in prison in Maine for the drug trafficking? And then shipped down to Brooklyn to do prison time for gun trafficking, drug trafficking and now sex trafficking? And he has been in prison SINCE THEN? And he's only 23.
It states that she worked in a barber shop. Does anyone know if this is acually true or not. What is the name and location of this barber shop. Maybe thats whete she met the killer. I think its worth checking into.

This same article provides us with more information about the convict who ended up with one of Melissa's phones.
They also discovered another phone once belonging to Barthelemy and tracked it to a convict who said he picked up the phone after she dropped it in a fight with another woman. Authorities in New York also located Barthelemys pimp, who corroborated the mans story, saying he had ordered the other woman to fight Barthelemy because he was upset she had been seeking clients on her own, the official said.

After a man is fatally shot at 55 Allen Ave., neighbors say the area has become home to late-night fighting.

PORTLAND — Portland police continue to try to determine what connection a homicide victim has to the city, and what he was doing Saturday night just before he was killed.
Two Portland police officers are posted outside the entrances to 55 Allen Ave. on Sunday morning after a 22-year-old man was shot to death there earlier.

An autopsy has been performed on the 22-year-old New York man, but the State Medical Examiner has not confirmed his identity yet.
The man was found in an Allen Avenue apartment around 3:30 a.m. Sunday with a fatal gunshot wound.
Police are seeking any witnesses to the shooting or anyone who might have information about the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 874-8533.

Akeem is arrested in a hotel again for drug charges:
"According to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, agents seized 13 grams of suspected crack cocaine base that was packaged for sale and had an estimated street value of $1,300. Agents also seized $564 in cash.
Cruz was free on bail on charges of criminal threatening and criminal mischief arising from an incident in Portland in June.

Then, of course, we know he had to report to NY for the Federal Promoting Prostitution charge. He was convicted by year's end 2012.

More on the shooting that occurred next door to the location where June15, 2010 AC was arrested for criminal threatening. The murder victim (JULY 2010) was identified as 22 year old Taquan Samuels, of Brooklyn, N.Y. He had only lived there a for several weeks.

Did a little research on the 55 Allen street murder victim...a memorial set up has a Carolina blue bandana, and notes re: RIP LOC. I recently had a conversation with Megan's mom and she told me Megan was in that hotel room with Akeem with all the weapons and drugs but she got scared by them and called her grandmother to pick her up. Not long after the cops came. That was May 20th. That crew spent 5 days in jail and then headed to NY - with Megan. Megan had been in that Holiday Inn room the entire week leading up to the day of her disappearance on June 5th.
Now the police reports say the cops smelled marijuana and that's why they entered but what's to say these guys didn't believe Megan ratted them out since she conveniently missed being there when the cops came. Esp since she had just had contact with police for drug paraphernalia 2 days prior.
I believe Vashawn Brown who was arrested with Akeem was gunned down the following Nov:

They are experts at manipulation and dominance and breaking a woman down until she is trapped in the cycle of abuse which involves the honeymoon phase.
But when his income resource becomes a problem for him, what does he do?
He finds another one. there is no shortage of vulnerable young women out there.
I know you know this, i just had to express it to those who question why a pimp would kill or have someone else kill his money maker.
