That could be exactly what prompted his curiosity. If she was given some sort of probation he could have been interested in what would happen if she was arrested again and what could happen to him if he was arrested for being her pimp.

That's what I was thinkin.

If Megan was on probation, she would have to check with her probation officer and get permission if she needed to leave her county or state of residence (Maine).

More than likely Megan paid for the lawyer because SHE was worried. Megan probably more than whatshisname. I say that because Megan had more to lose, (her daughter) she may have been naive and vulnerable...but she wasn't completely stupid. She had some pretty smart people in her family to see to it that he got his time. So I guess what I'm saying is that maybe Megan was behind the lawyer visit. She knew she was going down the wrong road and wanted to know what Her rights were. Hell...maybe she was reaching out in the only way she felt safe to. :(

What if this lawyer visit was Megans last ditch effort to get out of the life? What if she were reaching out to that lawyer to recognize what she was going through and he didn't?

It's easy to miss clues.

I meant to say also... about her probation. She chose to violate it fot AC. Sadly, she chose to take a chance (violate the safety precautions she had put in place for herself) in order (IMO) to make that money that would make her "Man" happy. :(

I wonder if MW actually made it to the store. I wonder if this was accurate reporting. Or maybe MsEla was just saying what AC told her??

He/she mentions a doctor but I don't think it's CPH.

When I did a search of "doctors" nearby I found an office for Dr. R.F.S.

Maybe or maybe not worth taking a 2nd look at this post.

That is indeed interesting, because if THAT was the the actual store, it is actually a "MOBIL" gasstation/store, Megan Waterman ALLEGED was heading to, there is a problem with the story that she was heading to the store, why?
Because they close at 12PM everyday, 7 days of the week!
And MW was last seen leaving the hotel 1:30 am, 1 1/2 hours AFTER they closed

And this gasstation/store is located 0.2 miles (3 minutes walk) EAST of the Holiday Express Inn where MW was staying.

here is info on when the are open/closed:

There are several images of the gasstation/store and there are indeed camera survilance:

On their website they post that this store is open 24hrs 7 days a week.

Also these "Mobil on the Run" gas stations/stores have many cameras inside and out and seem to cover all angles along with monitors by the cashiers. I get my coffee at one on my way to work. It is also open 24/7.

If Megan went there she would definitely be on the store's camera tapes - perhaps, on several of them. If she was staying at the hotel for a week, and frequented Mobil, the store clerks would also remember her.

Has any info on the above been released by LE? If it has I missed it.

Hi. When a store is open 24 hours, sometimes they list the hours as 12am to 12am (as you have discovered).

I know this Mobile station. It's store is indeed open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are not many gas stations in that area along the Long Island Expressway. Coming from the West, it's really the first gas station in Suffolk County on the Westbound side along the LIE (the one before that is in Plainview back by exit 48). This station is at exit 53. There is another one by exit 52 (Commack road) but that one is on the Eastbound side. At 1am in the morning, it is the only place to purchase cigarettes, beer, condoms or rolling paper in Hauppauge along the LIE. There are three or four other motels/hotels all within walking distance of that Mobil station. At 1 am or 2 am in the morning, there is a 90% chance of spotting a "working girl" walking in and out of that store on any night from around April to October (not so much in the winter months because it's usually too cold. Also, if there is any sort of snow on the ground it's near impossible to walk it safely).

Brain is spinning here...

thinking that maybe the seasonality of the missing victims is not due so much to the LISK being on Long Island during the warmer months but more because the warmer months give him a greater likelyhood of spotting working girls walking alone outside at night. He would just need to know where to look. A place like this Mobil station would rank very high on the list. Now that I am thinking about this, there is a gas station with a 24 hour mini mart at 5714 Old Sunrise Highway in Massapequa;

Google Map/Image of Mini Mart

This mini mart is a one minute walk and a five minute walk from the two motels were Barthelemy's cell phone last was used;

Cellphone records for Ms. Barthelemy traced the calls, which were to her voice mail, to two motels near Massapequa — the Budget Inn and the Best Western, according to the law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is continuing.

Investigators checked video records at both motels and interviewed staff with “no results,” the official said.

It's also another one of those situations where at 1am in the morning, this would be the only place to walk to purchase cigarettes, beer, condoms or rolling paper along with candy or a soda.

I found 7 ads under 2 numbers (verified by ad pic) using 3 names (Lexy, Jasmine, & Tiffany) posted on various sites on for following dates & locations:

May 13, 2009: Suffolk
June 16, 2009: Suffolk
June 23, 2009: Suffolk
September 2, 2009: Suffolk
May 31, 2010: Portland
June 6, 2010: Suffolk

The suffolk ads stated she was new to the area. Services offered would arguably fall under "vanilla." That is, there was no overt indication she was providing bdsm and/or role-play type services. Rates were $250 incall & $300 outcall. The ads explicitly stated no blocked calls.

I found another UG comment about "Jasmine" on June 15th, 2009. It is definitely MW's personal phone number as I found it the other night when i was searching all of the arrests. It was attached to her name in some other more regular aspect of her life (not re:her profession.)

And, while I am on Shadow's list...note that the months are only Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Also note that the poster is one of the same men who commented re: ALC's ads also commented re: Jasmine/MW.

That poster has since been BANNED. And only minutes later and the June 15th link is gone. It was there a half hour ago. Now it says June 16th...weird!!!

I kinda like what you're saying here. Say MW walked to the store and got approached by LISK there for a quick car date. She didn't bring her phone or anything because she was literally walking a stones throw to the store to get whatever. And maybe AC left her phone b/c that phone was a shared phone by all the girls in the house. Could be nothing more than that right?

Maybe. But if we are to believe DS, he told Amber to take the phone and she said, "That's not what he wants."

My understanding is that there was a "jasmine" that was friends with Megan. Another working girl, I assume. But I really don't know.

If that was the case, this "Jasmine" was using a phone that came up as Megan's personal phone number. I tried to find the listing I found when I was researching her and AC's criminal records. But, I looked at so many pages, sites and newspaper articles and now I can't find it. I saw a listing that gave me the phone number, the same one listed by Seeker65** on UG, and it was in the context of something outside of escorting. I saved it and just the other day when I put it in Google I determined that she used the same phone for her business as she did for her personal life.

or he wanted to know his amount of culpability, if, say, they went on a trip together, she got "lost", and he didn't return with her...?

OR...he was checking into The Mann Act, which states that a prostitute selling her wares across state lines can't be charged with interstate sex trafficking, but her pimp can. Maybe THAT'S why AC dropped Megan off at the hotel to work alone, and he beat feet to Brooklyn, or some other safe distance. :waitasec:

I was thinking this same thing. He wanted to separate himself so he did not look like a pimp.

Megan turning up missing was bad news for him, legally. That's why I find it difficult to believe that AC had anything to do with her disappearance. If he had had anything to do with that, he would have ditched his laptop and gotten rid of her phone, imo.

Very astute post and point. Yeah hard to say what's what with DS. Putting that scene that u posted side by side with the fact that he never reports her missing makes my brain ache.

Me too, Jim.

IF he called KO and told her Amber didn't come home, like he says he did, perhaps he felt it was KO's place to report Amber missing. I mean, that was HER sister, right?

And let's face it, I don't think anyone in that house wanted to draw attention from LE. Doesn't make it right not to report her missing, of course, but it also doesn't mean anyone was trying to cover up her disappearance, either.

On the other hand...by his own admission, DS was the last known person to see Amber alive. I would hope LE came down on him like a bag of hammers, and investigated the hell out of him. I assume they did. But...well...you know. :banghead:

Strange that the known "pimp/boyfriends" call and report their girls missing, but "roomate/friend", DS, doesn't. Wouldn't you think a known pimp would have alot more concern about attention drawn to them, than a friend/roomate or sister would? It's a real head-scratcher.

The problem with that is she was an escort, not a streetwalker. She would not have been picking people up off the street.

He would not have reported her missing if he was her pimp, because he would want to distance himself from the situation. If something does happen to one of these girls, the pimp/driver/whatever would respond if they were on the scene and intervene, but if she just vanished along with the client, they would do nothing and go home.

In all probability she went on a job, he knew about it, but she didn't come back. At that point he probably had a reasonable idea that something bad had happened, but it wasn't his problem so he just went on with his life.

He wouldn't go to the police and say "Hey! I'm this girls pimp and she didn't come back from a session with an anonymous client". Because the first thing they would do is arrest him. And not much would happen after that until (if) her body showed up. So, he wouldn't want that, from his point of view it was better to mind his own business.
