What happened to the thread on David Pederson? I've searched a few times but I can't find it anymore. :(

Okay, so IF David Pedersen was living in Portland (and I still have no idea if he was), how did he and Holly Grigsby get from Portland to Everett to where his father and stepmom lived? I have heard nothing new on the possible Portland woman that Cody lived with so I have no idea if there is a missing woman and vehicle or not.

I believe they probably used the jeep to lure Cody and then went on with both vehicles dumping the Jeep and leaving Cody far apart. Then heading off on Interstate 5 until they were caught - and it sounds like they were maybe caught just as they were trying to lure the next victim. My fear is that there is one (or more?) additional victim(s) and/or another missing vehicle maybe. They could have gotten from Oregon to Everett a couple of different ways (train, etc.) I am just curious and hoping any more victims are not going to surface.

Update #10: Murder Suspects Linked to Eureka, California Homicide; Updated Information Regarding Cody Myers Murder Investigation
Oregon State Police - 10/10/11

2011-10/1002/48385/Cody.Myers.1.JPG

The ongoing murder investigations involving suspects DAVID JOSEPH PEDERSEN, age 31, and HOLLY ANN GRIGSBY, age 24, who are currently in custody in the Yuba County, California Jail are continuing. Several significant developments occurred late last week and over this past weekend keeping investigators from several law enforcement agencies working nearly around-the-clock.

The first development centers around investigative information related to the Washington and Oregon murder cases that provided a lead to Eureka, California Police Department investigating a homicide reported October 7, 2011 at approximately 12:58 p.m. According to a Eureka Police Department news release this afternoon, officers responded to a suspicious circumstances/vehicle call near the 3300 block of Glen Street. Upon arrival and inspection of the interior of a vehicle at the scene which was cluttered with clothing items, officers found an adult male deceased inside. The body showed signs of trauma and was released to the Humboldt County Coroner's Office.

The victim was identified by Eureka Police Department as REGINALD ALAN CLARK, age 53, from Eureka, California. An autopsy done Sunday, October 9th, on CLARK at the Humboldt County Coroner's Office determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the head.

Based upon their ongoing investigation, Eureka Police Department has confirmed PEDERSEN and GRIGSBY are suspects in their homicide case. (News release link with this release)

The second development is related to the murder investigation of Cody Myers, age 19, from Lafayette, Oregon. Information developed during the week while pursuing numerous leads led to confirmation that the murder occurred in Lincoln County, Oregon.

On Friday, October 7, 2011 the Lincoln County Major Crime Team located what is believed to be the crime scene where Cody Myers was murdered east of Toledo in the Pioneer Mountain area. With the assistance of the Oregon State Police Forensic Services Division, detectives processed the scene and seized evidence.

Detectives believe that Cody Myers arrived in Newport Saturday, October 1st to attend a jazz festival. After arriving in the area, he came into contact with one or both suspects prior to his death. His vehicle, a white 1999 Plymouth Breeze four-door displaying Oregon license 025 CCH, was spotted at least twice in the mid-Willamette Valley area during the weekend of October 1 - 2. One of the reported sightings confirmed the car was in the possession of two people identified during the investigation as PEDERSEN and GRIGSBY, suspects in an Everett, Washington murder investigation. Cody Myers' body was found October 5th in the Mary's Peak area southwest of Corvallis.

The Lincoln County Major Crime Team is asking anyone who may have spotted MYERS, PEDERSEN, GRIGSBY, the white 1999 Plymouth Breeze displaying Oregon license 025 CCH, or black 2010 Jeep Patriot displaying Washington license plate ABZ7996, in the Newport or Toledo areas, to please call Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Tip Line at (541) 265-0669.

The Lincoln County Major Crime Team is asking anyone who was at the Newport Performing Arts Center or across the street at Don Davis Park on Saturday, October 1st, during the daytime performances of the jazz festival who took photos or video to please contact the Tip Line.

Photographs of victim Cody Myers, suspects PEDERSEN and GRIGSBY, and similar looking vehicles are provided with this release to assist with the development of additional investigative leads.

The third significant development centers around the discovery Friday, October 7th, of the missing black 2010 Jeep Patriot associated with the Everett, Washington homicide investigation, the two suspects, and a missing endangered adult identified as DAVID JONES PEDERSEN, age 56. The missing adult is the father of suspect DAVID JOSEPH PEDERSEN, who has been missing since September 29th.

According to Linn County Sheriff's Office, investigators followed up on information developed last week and found the Jeep Patriot early Friday afternoon, October 7, 2011 in a remote wooded area of rural Linn County, Oregon. The vehicle was discovered over the embankment of a logging road in the vicinity of Yellowbottom Campground north of Green Peter Lake. It was not visible from the roadway.

Working in cooperation with Everett Police Department investigators, Linn County Sheriff's Office coordinated search and rescue resources from Marion, Benton, Linn, and Crook counties to find and recover the vehicle. When recovered, investigators confirmed the body of an adult male was found inside.

The 2010 Jeep Patriot was seized as evidence for Everett police as part of their investigation to return to Everett, Washington where investigators will await a search warrant for evidence processing.

On Monday, October 10th, an autopsy was scheduled in the morning. Positive ID and cause of death is still pending. A news release will be sent when known.

Everett police has provided an investigative scenario related to their murder investigation that is provided in a link to this news release. (Everett PD scenario link with this release)

Both suspects remain in custody in Yuba County Jail after appearing in court last week on local charges. Their bail was set at $1 million.

No other information will be released at this time including any decision on extradition to Washington or Oregon. District Attorney's involved in each State's cases are coordinating any future decisions on this matter.

Questions regarding the Oregon investigation should be directed to the respective contacts listed on this release.

Police: Suspect admits killing woman in Wash.

Posted: 3:58 pm PDT October 10, 2011PORTLAND, Ore. -- A woman suspected of killing four people in a Northwest crime spree has admitted to one of the slayings, police in Washington state said Monday.
They said Holly Grigsby told investigators that she fatally stabbed Leslie Pedersen, who is the stepmother of Grigsby's boyfriend.
Grigsby's boyfriend, David Joseph Pedersen, is also accused in the killing spree that spanned Washington state, Oregon and California.
Grigsby, 24, said she and Pedersen planned to kill his father for allegedly molesting his sister when they were younger.
Pedersen, 31, planned to shoot his father, David Jones Pedersen, as the older man was driving the pair in his Jeep in Everett, Wash., police said.
Grigsby told them that the pair then went back to the Pedersen home, where she stabbed Leslie Pedersen using two knives. The stepmother was found Sept. 28 with her hands tied with duct tape and a bloody pillow wrapped around her head.
Police believe Grisby and the younger Pedersen drove the Jeep south to Oregon with the father's body inside. Days later, authorities say, either one or both of them came across 19-year-old Cody Myers at a jazz festival near the Oregon coastal town of Newport.
Myers was shot in the head and chest outside Newport, and his body was dumped miles away, police say. The black Jeep, with David Jones Pedersen's body inside, was found beneath a steep logging road deep in the Cascade Mountains.
Police in Eureka, Calif., also linked a fourth body to the couple on Monday. Reginald Alan Clark, 54, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head on Friday.
Police there did not say how they linked Clark's death to the couple.
Earlier Monday, David Joseph Pedersen told a California newspaper that he killed his father for molesting his sister when she was younger. He told The Appeal Democrat that he did it because it was "his responsibility to make sure it didn't happen again."
The younger Pederson also took "full responsibility" for the crimes reported in the media so far, and for a fourth death that had been unreported at the time of the jailhouse interview.

Wow! The person who said there'd probably be someone dead in CA was right!

Isn't one still known missing, too, that they think is dead at their hands, as well? From another article that mentioned someone missing in WA or OR? It wasn't this California guy...

This lady...we've still not gotten a name or details on if they still think she may be missing because of them, as well. Sure seems likely given the rest of what we're learning!

There might be another victim. I don't know why they don't name her and post her pic?

"Rick Booth lives near Pedersen’s home at in the 300 block of NE 73rd Ave. Booth said Pedersen lived with an older woman with gray hair, whom he hasn’t seen since her car disappeared more than a week ago. " http://www.koinlocal6.com/news/local...zedNwvL3w.cspx

The last report we had, kindly quoted above, states another person is missing. The locals are trying to get another report out about her and we'll let you know when it happens.

If there really is another woman missing and it's taking this long for Washington to list her, I'm gonna get grumpy!!!
