Has anyone found out if there are other missing persons in OR, WA, or CA around the time this all happened? Sigh. Have mercy, Lord.

No, but I cannot figure out how they got from Yellowbottom, off a BLM road and to the area where they could have crossed Cody's path..
 
If David wasn't found near the Jeep, and wasn't found near Cody, then IMO he's going to be somewhere back near the house where Leslie was found.

I'll check around.

What concerns me is if the Jeep was found abandoned quite a distance from where Cody was found, they had to have some way to get from where they left the Jeep to where they met Cody.

I've fished in Green Peter before.... It's not completely desolate people-wise, but there aren't any stores or anything up that road either.

Cody Myers dabbled in rock and heavy metal, but he mostly loved jazz. He joined a jazz ensemble, self-recorded a CD and performed gigs at coffee shops. A light brown Epiphone guitar was his baby, his mother said.

He had hoped to one day create an organization that would refurbish and donate instruments to young beginning musicians, said his father, Kent Myers. While his son studied music at Clackamas Community College, he stayed involved in youth music ministry, his father added.

The black 2010 Jeep Patriot connected with an Everett, Washington, murder was recovered Friday and investigators said they found the body of an unidentified white adult male inside the vehicle, according to Lt. Gregg Hasting with Oregon State Police.
The Jeep belongs to David Jones Pedersen, of Everett, Washington, who is missing and is considered endangered.
The body was not identified. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

I am still wondering how they crossed paths with Cody in order to obtain his vehicle..

Was there yet another vehicle involved we don't know about??
As how did they get from the Jeep to an area where they could cross paths
with Cody? That location is just way way out there...

Update #9: Recovery of Jeep Patriot Related to Everett, WA Murder Investigation Leads To Discovery of Unidentified Adult Male Inside
Oregon State Police - 10/08/11

Linn County Sheriff's Office confirmed the black 2010 Jeep Patriot associated with an Everett, Washington Police Department murder investigation was recovered Saturday, October 8, 2011. Investigators also confirmed finding an unidentified deceased white adult male inside the vehicle. The body will be taken to the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office in Clackamas where an autopsy will be done to positively identify the deceased and determine the manner and cause of death. The autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Monday.

According to Linn County Sheriff's Office, investigators followed up on information developed during the last several days and found the missing vehicle early Friday afternoon, October 7, 2011 in a remote wooded area of rural Linn County, Oregon. The vehicle was discovered over an embankment along a logging road in the vicinity of Yellowbottom Campground north of Green Peter Lake. It was not visible from the roadway.

Working in cooperation with Everett Police Department investigators, Linn County Sheriff's Office coordinated search and rescue resources from Marion, Benton, Linn, and Crook counties to find and recover the vehicle. It has been seized as evidence for Everett police as part of their investigation. According to Everett Police Department, the 2010 Jeep Patriot will be returned to Everett to a secure location awaiting a search warrant for evidence processing.

The vehicle was the subject of an extensive search in Oregon to assist Everett Police Department. Two suspects associated with their investigation and a murder investigation in Oregon were arrested Thursday by California Highway Patrol in Yuba County, California.

No other information anticipated for release at this time.
