If accidental, drowning in the creek? Hit by car? I'm not thinking it's accidental but we will find out soon I hope.

Parents involved, parents not involved. They let her run free when times are dangerous. They didn't miss her until 24 hours after they'd last seen her. They were wrong, so wrong. Horrible lessons learned after the fact, if her parents aren't involved. Jenise, I am so sorry <3

I'd go even further than saying they let her run free. I would say they neglected her. She didn't even have a set time to come home to eat. That isn't running free, that is parents who can't be bothered to provide the appropriate level of care in my opinion.

Yes lessons will be learned, but so unfair that it was Jenise who had to pay the price for other peoples' failings.

HLN now reporting that the body of precious child was most likely Jenise PER a police officer on the case.

It only took them almost 2 hrs. I was reading on here when it came out her body was found, and HLN for almost 2 hrs. yammered on about Jenise missing. And the show is live.

RIP Sweetie.

I wonder if there are lots of "bush parties" in those woods? Evidence of firepits?

Well if Tom 'Take vitamins for post partum depression' Cruise is doing it.... :ohdear: :)

CPS has been involved with the Smiths. Read their kids Twitter - those poor kids need guidance if you ask me.
Two of Toms kids are estranged from their mother because she has differing opinions about their "religion". The mom has custody of Toms youngest. It's hardly working for them, IMO.

Authorities have trail/road along South 303 closed. Thick brush. Cannot see scene inside.

Says her body was found in a heavily wooded area near the trailer park.

A child’s remains were found earlier today in a heavily wooded area between Highway 303 and Steele Creek Mobile Home Park, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson announced at a 12:15 p.m. news conference at Crosswords Neighborhood Church in East Bremerton.

Wilson said the body was found in a heavily wooded area north of the mobile home park, where the girl lived with her parents and siblings. Police have sealed off the area where the body was found.

why does it say my message is too short

EAST BREMERTON — A child’s remains were found earlier today in a heavily wooded area between Highway 303 and Steele Creek Mobile Home Park, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson announced at a 12:15 p.m. news conference at Crosswords Neighborhood Church in East Bremerton.
..........
The body was found by members of the search team looking for Jenise Paulette Wright, a 6-year-old girl reported missing by her parents on Aug. 3, Wilson said. Several agencies, including the FBI, are involved in the search. No arrests have been made, Wilson said.

Was her body overlooked during other searches?

You have to at least type so many characters. You can't put just quotes. I am on another mommy board where someone racked up over 30k posts in under a week by posting a popcorn smilie on every thread so they have the same rule now.

OK enough is enough. How are we going to ensure that the weak are protected. I am so sick of hearing these cases, all over the world. What can we do as a group to petition for the protection of the vulnerable?

It's were the 5-6 police cars were off of 303 about 9am. That's close to were the homeless people are.

I'm sorry if I sound rude, but who the hell allows their little 6 year old daughter to run around like that? It makes me furious. Clearly this outcome is why.

Would a family member put her out in that field? I am not certain. MAYBE they might, if they thought it would shift focus towards a transient or a stranger abduction.

I wish we knew more about what was going on Saturday night in the home. Did they have any guests that night?

I wonder if she was wearing the pink shirt etc, that the sightings described.
