Here we go with the back-patting.

Nothing wrong with saying thank you to all the LE agents involved in this. My hat is off to them, for their expertise and such quick response in doing all they could to find her.

Also , his expression when he said there's no doubt this is a criminal investigation. No doubt it's not accidental.

He certainly didn't beat around the bush about that fact. His words and body language were solid.

He specifically stated formal identification in the presser. That's just standard procedure. I honestly don't think she was disfigured

If she was unrecognizable they would give you no confirmation until after the autopsy.

Law enforcement gathered near an entrance to a wooded area bordering the mobile home park.

So does this mean she was taken out of the house and to the location they found her body?

RIP baby girl. I feel 100% confident the monster who did this to you will be brought to justice. Patience.

Where she was found is full of thorns! Devil's Club and black berry bushes? Are there snakes around black berry bushes in WA? There are in GA!!
I'll spare you, but it looks like devil's club causes a nasty rash as well... At least I saw a hiking forum that called it the gift that keeps on giving... SO who has a nasty rash??? (It didn't sound like everyone gets a rash must be like poison ivy, not everyone is sensitive)

All posts are MOO

Exactly! Even if the doctor's office is closed and I didn't write it in the baby book or mark it on the wall, I think I would still be able able to guess within an inch...especially if another family member(s) gave their input also.

This may be harsh, but it's not meant to be at all -- Have they ever bent down to brush her hair or to kiss her goodnight when she was standing? Most of us with younger children or grandchildren would know fairly closely where a child's head would measure against our bodies, wouldn't we? How many times have you hugged a child? Can you remember where his/her head was against your body?

Just me & my opinion.

4 days and no description to go off of what she was wearing. They're telling you it's her but need verification to cover their backs.

it would not surprise me at all to find out she was wearing the exact same thing she had on Saturday night, the last time anyone *actually* remembers seeing her.

Everyone needs a little reassurance sometimes. Especially when your job is so heartbreaking. It's healthy for them to support each other. Again, there's lots of work let to do. Let's have some empathy for everyone involved.

Regarding what the locals think. I live in a fairly small town and there are lots of yard sale groups for our area or community watch groups on fb, in these groups any big news that happens locally is often brought up within these groups, I wonder if there are any for this area

"we r focused on trying to narrow in on a suspect"

Do they have him figured out or what?

I think they have a pretty good idea . I mean , if we all have a pretty good idea, then of course they must ;)

Only slightly OT but part of the reason you're hearing laughing and casual banter prior to such a devastating announcement is because most cops (of all stripes, local, state, federal) have learned how to turn off the painful, traumatic stuff they see ALL the time. They have to, or they'd never be able to do their jobs. MOO from all the cops I've known & am Herradura Reposadorelated to.
My dad was LE, too. If they couldn't compartmentalize like this, they would lose their minds IMO. Also, I suspect here there was a certain amount of relief or elation that now they have a crime scene and can continue zeroing in on the perp, after the horrible stress of the search.

Hopefully EVERYONE gave their DNA and it will just be a waiting game until someone starts talking.

Once a mobile home is set it can cost $25,000 to move and moving them I have heard usually damages them. So they rarely get moved.
That's what I was getting at. Mobiles with stem walls are almost always "Permanently Affixed" to the property when set, for tax purposes through the county assessor, and the mortgage company that is handling the sale.
MH's have transitioned over to sheetrock, tape and texture in the last 25 years, no more "tacky" paneling, and tearing them down for transport and the transport itself can cause a lot of damage to the interior walls.
And you're right, it IS pretty expensive to move them (removal and storing of your household items, teardown, tongue/axle rental, transport, DOT permit, escort vehicles, placement permit, ad valorem tax check and transfer, leveling, marriage line attachment floor, walls and ceiling, new roof cap, utility hookups, etc....) For the cost and PITA, you might as well upgrade to a new unit and have it set in your new location.

What was the answer about the clothes? He kind of said something like he didn't know or no or something.

THAT is scary. 4 days and she can't be identified? Was she bludgeoned in the face? Oh no....?
And a criminal investigation..........

(sorry for the graphics) 4 days exposed to the elements and animals/insects can do a lot of deterioration. Considering coroner and not family is identifying her, she's probably not recognizable. Based on the circumstances of her being the only female child missing and maybe some identifiable items or features they know its her though.

Hopefully EVERYONE gave their DNA and it will just be a waiting game until someone starts talking.

I'm sure they'll know in which order to start testing so as not to waste tax payers' money.....

Well the only thing is for certain is that the manner of death was evident from looking at the body. Otherwise, they always say something like, foul play not suspected or it is unknown if foul play....."

Asphyxiation. I think she was killed by asphyxiation. Whatever she was asphyxiated with is probably still around her neck. Could be panties.
