There is no chance of an insanity plea, IMO. He committed the crime purposely avoiding detection, hid the body, and then more than likely lied to LE. He knew what he was doing. But if there are some issues found during his mental health evaluation, defense may try to use it to get a lesser sentence.

I don't think it matters, No way his family can get it. He is not going anywhere.

In the certificate of probable cause, the mother is quoted as saying Gabe acted upset in the same manner when her sister died. Now I'm wondering when/how her sister died!!
