Melissa D. McCann is a realtor at Prudential Grays Harbor. She owns the Elma Dollar Store that Lindsey assisted at according to the online forums. Her boyfriend is Mark D. Duncan, a realtor at Keller-Williams Olympia.
There was a previous forum that mentioned a white or silver van seen by witnesses, but I cannot locate it. I think there is a white van driving around with the elma dollar store writing on it. Has anyone else seen the witness statements about cars to watch for?

I've never heard or read anything about a white or silver van (from cases in other states yes but not this case) - a car yes as was shown of the affidavit. - the only witness account of vehicles that have been mentioned outside of the rumor mill was the one witness who ID'd DG's car or car style.

Jus wanted to let yall know that I made it home Friday afternoon :) complete bed rest but hoping the lil guy won't come for another 6 weeks at the very least. I'm having to take meds every 6 hours to stop the contractions & it's working great. I'm sorry I haven't been around but I do think of Lindsey every day. I have a lot of catching up to do & I've been trying my best. Love all of you & I do thank all of you that emailed/pm'd with such kind words.

I'll be in my bed if ya lookin for me LOL :blowkiss:

The Wa. Dept. of Transportation ( wsdot.wa.gov. ) has a traffic camera on Hwy. 8 at Rock Candy Mountain Rd., between Olympia and McCleary. It would be a needle in a haystack to find any suspect vehicles on the days surrounding the disappearance, but has anyone thought of other cameras to check in the area?

I would be willing to sit all day and night for as long as it took to look thru those tapes!! I hope LE has thought of that.....

Rock candy Mountain I brought up a while back, because there are pics with some of the players at Rock candy Mountain *mudding* with their trucks....i wondered if that place could be a local hang out for young ones....

Maybe Little Creek Casino, 800-667-7711, where Hwy. 108 meets Hwy. 101, or Taylor Towne Union 76, 360-427-0067, where Lynch Rd. meets Hwy. 101 would have cameras?

Hi SerendipityS, So do you think a white or silver van came into town and took off with Lindsey going out 108 to 101? I'm going to look at a map.

I see where 108 goes N up to Kamilche where it joins 101. Then 101 goes straight north up to Shelton. Do you think there is a connection to someone in Shelton?

Otherwise I can't see anyone keeping her in their car that long if she was gone. There are too many possible places around McCleary with the logging roads and all, and our Astro's have said she was moved once. With all I have read I'd wonder if she was put off a logging road off Beck Rd, figured that was too close for comfort and then moved somewhere south of Montesano like Melbourne where it is like a loggers paradise. And the Golders might have family still living in that area which would be like a comfort area, if they are involved, so they could keep tabs in case she needed to be moved again.

Pretty cynical, I know, but Lindsey comes first. Any one who could move a body once, if they did, could certainly have the mentality to do it again IMO.

I am just thinking of where surrounding cameras are, in case someone sees any vehicles reported by witnesses. They are probably too fuzzy to see a license plate, but it was just a thought anyway. I am still searching forums for witness statements of all vehicle possibilities but it is time consuming.

Do any locals know if there was a burn ban in the area around the time Lindsey disappeared?

The Astros could very well be right about moving the body, but I have another opinion. Lindsey's abductor left no evidence and no crime scene that we know of..etc. This person was very careful by leaving NO dots to connect. Taking Lindsey at night rather than in broad daylight tells me he is careful more ways than one. Too careful to leave her body in an area only to remove it to another location. To clarify, are you suggesting Lindsey's body was deposited, picked up by car, moved out of the vicinity, and dropped again? Just my opinion and I don't mean to offend the Astros, but I'm reassured ALL views are welcome.

Hi scandi - - The Astros could very well be right but I have another thought. The person who took Lindsey was careful in many ways, leaving very few dots to connect. Striking at night rather than broad daylight is another example of how careful this abductor is. I find it difficult to think that this sicko ruminated over the place he put Lindsey...ruminated so much he went back and placed the body in his truck/car to take it elsewhere. That scenario just doesn't fit for me.

Hi Eyes, I also thought that strange, their believing she was moved once considering there is no crime scene that we have learned about or other evidence brought to our attention that would lead them to believe that.

I just reread the whole Affidavit but the mention of a crime scene was not in that document. That means it had to be in the body of the warrant itself, and I don't think that is posted here. It was mentioned in a LE link somewhere or my mind is playing tricks on me.

I could see this happening if a younger man abducted her, she died and tucked her somewhere close to where he had abused her. Like up off Beck Ro or the Water Tower. We had unverified reports very early in the case the dogs alerted in both those places. Then he realized he was going to need some help in the disposal as he had no idea how to go about this. So he enlisted help from a relative who loved him, either a father, uncle, etc, and this person with his help as well moved her under darkness to a more discrete place where she would be difficult to find.

It is the only think I can think of where that scenario would work. xox IMO

Out here, just because there was a burn ban doesn't mean people weren't burning...they're usually just more careful not to get caught.

Seems to me that LE thought the crime scene could be found at the properties searched.

Don't you wonder how this perp knew he wouldn't be caught or seen with Lindsey, how he knew she would get into a car with him or inside his home? (if it was a car or home). Or how he could dispose of a body knowing he wouldn't be caught? I find the confidence level of this sicko really disturbing.

I've often wondered if he is a member of the forums.

bbm; Eyes in my mind this is the key, they would be comfortable in a place known to them. It makes sense that this would have been the place she was moved from. That abandoned house that we saw photos of really hit me hard. I don't remember now how far that was from the other dwellings? Was all this fairly spread out?
