Where the Hell has CPS been all this time?????? They just throw the little Angel back in the situation, against fair, and ample warnings, and signs of danger. Then wash their hands. No follow up, no wellfare checks, nada, zilch, nothing. Grrrrrr.
Where has CPS been? Supposed to help children?? Took this little girl away from a loving home??? Were there drug tests??
I can't help but wonder if the male DNA Donor Was in good with the judge, being as he used to a cop. Poor little Angel didn't stand a chance. The cards were stacked against her from the start. MOO
He was fired from the police dept he was a shady cop so I can promise he’s not in good with the judge…wait until the inmates find out he’s an ex cop and missing his daughter

Does anybody know why Oakley was put in foster care to begin with? I was creeping the bio mom’s Facebook and pictures can be deceiving I guess but she looked like a good mom at one point. Also, why do they just pick on one kid? Like why Oakley? She was so cute!

i used to work at a preschool and we had a few kids I wondered about but we were never allowed to make a complaint we had one girl who came to school dirty broken arm and no food, DCF was never called

Preschool employees are mandated reporters. I don't understand nobody reporting that.
We don't know specifics about why she was put in foster care but both parents have a long history of drug use. Oakley's sister was also in foster care. The baby wasn't born yet. Her older son went to live with his Father (different Father) I believe from foster care. They are currently incarcerated for withholding very important medication from Oakley's sister. And the baby and possibly Oakley's sister tested positive for meth since their incarceration.

Agree with @Psychic Sleuth, absolutely you were a mandated reporter.

In my state, NOT reporting is a crime.

Your former employer is encouraging criminal acts. Likely coercing criminal acts.

Please call licensing in the state where this occurred and report your former employer.

Don't tell me it happened too long ago. That person is probably still providing child care, and has 'trained' multiple child care providers who are out there carrying on those dangerous, illegal, child-harming methods.

Report, that is the requirement of a Mandated Reporter. Investigation is someone else's responsibility.

Please call. I can help you figure out where to call, I'm sure @Psychic Sleuth can do the same.

Call.

Just to add - I don’t think you can meet your obligation by notifying a higher-up. You are mandated to report it directly. Mandated reporters can’t delegate their duty to report. Not my area so JMO.

I probably wasn’t clear about my statement which is completely my fault, we were required to tell our supervisor then she would decide if DCF was to be called. It’s a very small community really all about who’s who and I’m not going into detail but this child’s parents were in with them. I was an assistant not a teacher and now I’m in the medical field I’d absolutely call in a second, I however did express my concern several times and they would buy her food because her mom would only send her to school with chips. And they could’ve well been called and I just not know about it.

I don’t think that policy is legal - a witness can’t delegate the duty to report to a supervisor. I’m not criticizing you at all - I’m sure plenty of places have similar policies.

In this article a criminal profiler thinks that Oakley may still be alive and is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to her return.

Missing Washington 6-year-old who siblings fear was 'eaten by wolves' may still be alive, profiler says

I so hope he is right! How amazing of him to offer this reward. There has been no reward offered that I'm aware of. Hopefully this will generate some good leads.

At the recent dependency hearing for the other two children AC's lawyer asked for visitation. Oakley's sister's attorney stated that she tells her foster family every day that she does not ever want to talk to or live with her old family again. The attorney said visitation would be harmful to the little girl and thankfully the judge denied it. JB looked like she was crying (probably fake tears MOO). There was a delay with her portion due to her lawyer being delayed and she was returned to the jail without being heard.

Let's be realistic, we have eyewitness statements that the last time anyone had seen Oakley, she didn't look well and was not treated well. LE has leaned on the parents HARD in attempts to get them to say where she is.

That baby is dead (possibly beaten to death, more likely meth related) and thrown in the river.

MOO

Actually, some drug addicts sell their children to fuel their addiction. So It may not be that far fetched that she may still be alive.

This has happened so rarely as to be statistically nil. I get people want to hold on to hope, but these folks were cooking their own meth and I'd think the healthy baby would go for more than the kid that is obviously already sick from the meth exposure.

Someone made an excellent, well-supported post explaining why it is so rare for a child to be sold for drugs - it may have been a few months into Summer Wells’ disappearance? The main idea, IIRC, was that drug dealers want cash - not the responsibility of caring for and hiding a child. JMO because I have no idea where that post is!

It is far more common that access to a child is sold - not the child. Exposing East Tennessee's dark secret: Families sell children for sex

“Parents selling their children for money or goods like drugs,” Gay-Vocco said. “That’s trafficking someone, but that person is home for dinner or homework in the evening.”
Officials: Parents selling own children into human trafficking

Oakley Carlson went home to her parents, alleged meth users, a year ago after they regained custody from her foster family.

Then the US 6-year-old went missing, and her preschool-age siblings told deputies she may have been “eaten by wolves”.

But criminal profiler John Kelly told Fox News he believes there’s a chance Oakley may be alive and is offering a reward that leads to her location.
