I thought the same thing when I posted that RubyRed! She asked him to bring her cell, which meant she knew he was heading down - according to his statements.
 
There is priest point park in BH. She could have met up with someone, I just cannot cross that out. Maybe online, yes. Her ex, maybe, maybe not. I have not yet been able to get an alibi for her ex, did you guys find one? I have seen him only on the tv interview, but nothing else...

There were links to 2 ms accts earlier on. I remember seeing it. I also found people close to where she traveled in Oly with the same last name as the ex who assaulted Az. Don't know if they are relatives or not.

That is very close to the Mercantile and the Williams. What does the park have (restrooms, etc)? Is it physically closed off after dark?

The Dad seems like a nice guy but we only have his side of the story. I would think he could have gotten an attorney and insisted that he be a part of Azriel's life or even got custody since she had issues. He may have chosen to not be a part of his life and then regretted it.

It's been repeatedly reported that one shoe was Shantina's, the other an unidentified men's size 13 shoe, is that incorrect?

She signed an affidavit in 2005 that she was an alcoholic in order to receive the deferred prosecution, in addition she was found negligent by CPS for passing out while caring for Azriel in 2007 and again sought treatment. Whether or not one thinks alcohol played a part in Shantina's behavior and disappearance it's certainly not just her fiance that is saying she had a problem.

You haven't been in any child custody cases... I haven't personally, but the guys I know who have - all stand-up fathers and good men - have a hard time affording the lawyer fees to get any kind of real shared custody, and even if they can afford the lawyer, they rarely win.

Along with this, he would have had to pay for flights either for himself or for Azriel. Those can be very expensive. It would have been difficult to have shared custody in these circumstances, to say the least.

Hounds, want to delete the quotes out of your posts? Shantina's friends haven't done anything, and we have no indications that she was meeting with anyone except RS.
 
This hasn't been mentioned, but I'm asking in case someone has the inside knowledge of this.

Is it KNOWN for certain that Azriel went inside the restaurant with Shantina when she ordered the corn dog and tots?

Jay was forced to have a cross-country relationship with Azriel who moved away from WNY with his mom years ago. The pair vanished earlier this month, spotted on surveillance the night they disappeared. Her van was eventually found on a beach. She is still missing. For now, Jay's focus is only on his son.

IMO, JC seems truly heart-broken about the tragic, untimely, avoidable loss of his little boy.

It seems, based on his statements, that he wishes he could have been more involved in Az's life.

Kinda hard though, to maintain a relationship across several thousand miles of geographic distance. Nevertheless, JC seems to blame himself, even though SS was the one who left with their son to return to the PNW.

Thank you.

It wasn't clear to me if both came at the same time, or if he stayed outside or in the van.

It's such a small place, that instead of a cafeteria/restaurant it looks more like a Quicky Mart (convenience store.)
