Did anyone notice that the car parked in Travis's driveway (behind the crime tape) was a small white 4-door sedan? Was that Travis's car? Or the roommates? Did Jodi know that and ask for a fairly matchy car so as to not stand out in the neighbors' minds?

I'd be prepared to bet that all her diaries were seized in the beginning and photocopies made so you would be able to compare to the originals in any event. However that's not to say she didn't spend three weeks doctoring them knowing full well they would be brought into evidence. That JA even mentions the diaries in her interview with Det Fl makes me think she really wanted them read.

Most seem to think she didn't park in the driveway anyway, but who knows?

I do love the testimony of the budget rental car clerk/owner that she didn't want the first car he gave her because, "red is too flashy." I can just imagine her there, congratulating herself on being so meticulously inconspicuous. Lolololololol.

I don't think so. I think she was retained as a mitigation WITNESS (i.e., to testify only in the penalty phase) but later agreed to testify in the guilt phase as well.

As a juror, I'd view opening statements as promises. JW promised the jury an expert would show that the Travis Alexander's t-shirt was proof of TA's control over Jodi. Did ALV prove that, and I missed it? Did she talk about the circumstances when/why re his giving it to Jodi? Did ALV present any evidence TA ever told/asked Jodi to wear it or indicate he ever mentioned it in passing in all their email/text exchanges she read? Not that I heard, beyond Jodi's word that it was a Valentine's gift iirc.

I would like to see the receipt from that T shirt. I'd bet my paycheck she bought it. That is just not a guy thing to do...

I have a question about Travis' journals.

I saw some comments earlier that gave me the impression that people were saying that ALV was reading from Travis' journals, but I thought his journals were missing and they have not been found. (They are probably somewhere with the knife and gun-wherever JA put them!).

So, have his journals been found and does the defense have them?

That is an excellent question! I had heard or read that his journals had been 'stolen' and I assumed it was Jodi. And lo and behold, the defense has them! I find this rather suspicious.

She was intentionally trying to annoy Juan Martinez...........and she was enjoying it.

Exactly. She is a bully, plain and simple. She is using a well-worn technique that bullies use where they accuse someone of being mean, angry, a bit** or whatever, and most kind, normal people would react in a horrified way and bend over backwards to make sure they are not behaving in that manner.

She thought by accusing JM of being "angry" he would apologize and bend over backwards to be kind and soft spoken towards her.

Big fail. Just made her look passive-aggressive and defensive. He did exactly the right thing. The "truth" as she calls it, doesn't care how the prosecutor feels about the witness. She should testify the same whether he is angry or not angry. She is trying to control the testimony. She needs to knock it off and just answer the questions without trying to figure out where he is going. If she continues in her present mode, the jury will go from disliking her to despising her in short order.

She thinks she is smart. She is not as smart as Juan, and the sooner she accepts that, the better for everyone.

Any impressions of the jurors you'd like to share, especially their reaction to the Snow White segment?

I wasn't there for the afternoon session just the morning up until the lunch break.

For that part of the trial they all looked very bored. Juror number 3 was taking notes most of the time and then only a few others took very sporadic notes.

I definitely saw at least four of the men jurors fall asleep at one time or another.

I thought the jury would be a bit more diverse in ethnicity than what it was. All white except one hispanic juror.

(I'm new to this site so if I post anything I'm not supposed please let me know.)

HLN has shown the opening statements this afternoon. I didn't see the start of this trial, so I watched JM. What struck me most is, this girl who sees herself as so intelligent was just SO incredibly stupid and clumsy in the way she went about this murder. Her planning and her alibis were just so soap opera standard! Her anger just got the best of her intellect I guess?
