Has anyone ever heard of this situation happening in any other court in this country? Why is this case so extremely bizzare?

Remember too, there was a third complaint filed by an unknown person. Wonder where that has gone, if anywhere, yet?

Could this 3rd person be the SA?
PROSECUTORS FILE MOTION FOR TRANSCRIPT IN CASEY CASE
Read Motion: http://www.wftv.com/pdf/20146566/detail.html

During that hearing, prosecutors questioned who was paying for Casey's defense and whether her attorney was involved in a conflict of interest.

Prosecutors want to use the transcript for Casey's murder trial in 2010.

Not sure if this is correct in Florida, because I'm not sure if their ethics rules preserve the distinction between a "confidence" and a "secret." The obligation to preserve a secret can survive the termination of the relationship.

I remember that concept from the movie 'The Firm'. He was obligated to preserve in violet (?) all his clients secrets.

Seems like back in July 09 we still hadn't found out what this was about. Anyone ever find anything out about this actual complaint?

I saw Baez give a smirk when the SA suggesting a bench trial by this same judge to avoid the problem of not being able to find a jury for the check trial. I remember thinking at that moment of the judge's complaint against him and how uncommon that must be for a judge to have to that while the attorney is appearing in front of him on a pending case, that it must have been significant.

Oh. Preserve "inviolate," i.e. keep the secret. It's not a word one hears spoken much. :)

I still want to know a few things

Did Baez ever produce the signed comprehensive set of LP documents and the separate one Tony p. signed/

Did we ever see the contingency page of the Dominic C. contracts with Baez and or the Anthonys?

The main thing I am interested in is what exactly the Judge's complain to the bar regarding Baez entails. Do any of you know?

I wonder if Judge Strickland filed a complaint because Baez was talking about the case and divulging information that violates the defendant's rights rather than slap a gag order on him.

In the recent article on the Hinky Meter site, we really understand the type of judge he is and is worried about defendants' rights!

Well, I asked RH what the "talk" around the courthouse was pertaining to the complaint, but he said lawyers are too busy with their own cases to pay attention to gossip (loosely paraphrasing). I would think the media would latch onto this, but have heard nothing.

Do complaints made to the Bar Assn have to be proved before they become available to the public- or can you find out if for example, the lawyer you are about to hire, has had a number of complaints filed, substantiated or not. Kinda like a BBB for lawyers....:innocent: ?

Good question to ask RH.

Just a thought.. was the deal with ABC for photo library the reason why JS filed a complaint??? Anyone else think this?? :waitasec:

I know at some point he retained the former Ethics Director of the FL Bar. Baez testified under oath to that at the recent hearing. It would be interesting to figure out the date he hired him.

If you do the math, getting rid of Baez makes for a stronger team. So be careful.. IMO

I want Casey to get a fair trial, so there is no do overs, do to JB being ignorant and not doing what he is suppose to do. It doesn't matter how good her lawyers are, the evidence is there, she will get convicted. However it does matter how bad they are because if they screw up she gets a do-over, or an appeal, and if that means replacing BOZO lets do it now and get this show on the road.

Is it possible that Jb has information in his head that indispensible? I mean he has had more visits with her than anyone. I am not sure she could get a fair trial without him at this point. He is a walking database on this case. IMO

I don't get it. So JB sends out a detective to find Caylee, and if he did he couldn't report it or call 911? So why even search? That makes no sense to me.

As someone said, if this detective went out there and mucked up a crime scene, then that's tampering with evidence.

I'm no lawyer - but this is pretty confusing to me.
