I hope they don't share any of the info about his abuse of her. She is still in school. She doesn't need any of the students or teachers to know the details of the horrors. She doesn't need the awkward feelings that come with that. JMO

I read what was written in Minnesota papers. Those articles talked about him and what he had done.

They also talked about how they went on walks in the yard and played ball. She must have hated every second but had to pretend to go along with him.

what strength!

if people wish, they can google newspaper articles.

I truly hope people will leave this child alone now. The constant media attention is so damaging for the psyche. It is hard enough to be a teenager. How is this child ever supposed to be online later in high school and college without the constant reminders? It doesn’t need to become another JohnBenet Ramsey case with people constantly talking about the physical abuse.

Going through one of the lengthy Adobe Acrobat documents, there is an interview between LE and JP.

Anything and everything having to do with what happened to JC is redacted. Thankfully.

Also, there are LE interviews that are redacted.

From what I can tell, JC's privacy is protected.

JMVHO.

Is there talk about the physical abuse? Only about when she was taken from the home

No, not that I've seen. I was just expressing my hope that people don't travel down the same road with JC as they have with JohnBenet Ramsey - people constantly talking about the possibility of sexual abuse in such unbelievable detail that it's nauseating. Plus, that dude on here that was arrested and monopolized JBR's thread. I just want JC to grow up with dignity, pride and know she is the hero.

That's good to know, and assume it will remain that way.

It was frustrating to see LE's video showing the killer's car as they passed it on the way to the Closs home. So close, yet not enough to get Jayme at that time. The article said they tried to go back to the video to retrieve any info from the truck's license plate, but couldn't see it. When watching that and the other video taken that night outside the Closs home, you realize how very dark it was out there that night. It was out in the country, no other buildings or lights around, so it was pitch black. You couldn't pay me enough money to go out to the Closs home and walk around in that darkness that night.

JBR is dead, The perp has never been identified. Different situation totally.

interesting article but they keep saying “ truck”. It was not. And the article says he put her in the trunk. There is no trunk on a truck.

why LE did not put out a bulletin for that car is beyond me. They had them for other cars, why not this one!

Yes, definitely not a truck!

There are dash cam videos from three different LEOs who responded to the 9-1-1 call. They were all heading out of town towards JC's house.

If I am viewing each of these correctly, I saw only one vehicle pulled over on Highway 8, going in the opposite direction, which was JP's red Dodge.

Links to three sets of documents can be found at the bottom of the above-referenced linked document.

Yes, I wondered the same thing when I read that. Must be the reporter's error.

Again, it was a shame the darkness and video quality made it impossible to retrieve the license plate info from his car. I hope technology improves in the future to the point it makes that possible.

I know there are a lot of privacy issues surrounding the use of dashcams and personal cams, but with some common sense and respect for privacy law, they can still be important tools in identifying and catching criminals quickly.

Read most of the documents. May reread again some day but there are a lot of pages.

I found Patterson's interrogation the most interesting. His use of the F word repeatedly early on I found odd after he stopped using it after a while for the majority of the interrogation.

No pictures of the interior of Patterson's residence which I would of liked to see but understand and agree with their redaction.

His school teachers interviews and insights to Patterson's family life are helpful in understanding his childhood. No excuse for what he did.

Seems to have had a medical issue with running that resulted in his discharge from the Marines.

Wish I had kept count but LE must of swabbed one hundred people for DNA during the investigation.

Painful to see Patterson's car along side the road on the Sheriff's dash cam. So close and just 20 seconds to prevent JC's captivity. Seconds really do matter.

I have not read that much as it is 1605 pages.

the most horrible thing I have read so far is that Denise had wanted to move from that location. She said strangers turned in their driveway and one day she came home to open garage doors.

The people interviewed said over and over again how shy Jayme was.

Incredible of the strength, smarts, and courage of Jayme.

That Tesla Cybertruck thing sorta has a trunkish rear, but I digress...

I'm not really following this true crime stuff these days, but I saw a bit on this data dump on the TV (CNN, I believe). For some odd reason, the internet outlets are claiming the red truck in the police dash cam vids belonged to Patterson. The red Silverado belonged to James Closs.

peace!

@human and @Ragnarok :

Did you think this document adequately protected JC's privacy?

Or, was there something in it which should not have been made public?

no, it does not protect her privacy. Nothing ever will. This is a most horrendous crime that will not be forgotten for years.

so far, Jayme’s parents’ lives are discussed as well.

In this day and age of books and internet, privacy is not possible.

at least rumors will be gone. Lots of people interviewed including named sex offenders. Lots redacted.
