Wouldn't the person missing be enough to label them as a POI if they have any connection to the Closs family?I think I'm going to take a break from patio door forensics for now.
So, I wanted to scan over the chain of events since the murders and disappearance of Jayme. Now, I know that The Daily Mail isn't always the pinnacle of journalistic integrity, but much of their content is Associated Press reprints, and they have the videos (including the Smrekar interview). Here's a list of tons of stuff:

Ok... so early on in this saga, we were being given all sorts of crumbs. The Challenger and SUV. The SUV with WI plates in Florida. The casino video request. The Smrekars (the closest thing we know of to having witnesses). 2000 volunteers searching Happy Hollow (why there?). The brother implying he knows who did it. K9 searches.
And then... *poof* nothing. All of those things suddenly became, "nothing to see here - move along". It's almost as if the Sheriff's Dept., WisDOJ & FBI turned into the JonBenet Boulder team. I don't think so. There must be a reason for this other than 100% ignorance about everything. I can't help but wonder if they actually know who did this, but that person (or persons) is also missing, or perhaps they don't yet have enough for a warrant? I don't know... just thinking out loud...
Did the police ever say where they came up with the cars? It had to be something besides casino footage because there is 14 miles between to two and cars could have come from anywhere before driving by the casino.
