It’s been 68 days since Jayme Closs went missing from her home. She is 13 years old and someone knows something. Maybe you don’t want to make that call because you are friends or family with the suspect. Do Jayme a favor this Christmas and call the tip line with your information. Barron County sheriff asks: Remember Jayme Closs

“Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald released a statement saying in part, "It's been 68 days since Jayme Closs went missing from her home. She is 13 years old, and someone knows something.“

Every time I see a picture of Jayme, I feel like punching a hole in the wall. I know I need to see pics to keep it real, but seeing her innocent face just makes me rage. It's the same w/ the poor girls in the Delphi, Indiana murders. I'd give my own life to personally pass judgement on the cowardly piece of filth behind that atrocity.

I think what was interesting on the porch (front porch, not deck) was shell casings fired through the door + possible blood splatter on the door from James being shot by a 9MM or AR-15 rifle, and we all know OceanEyes heavily favors the weapon being a handgun. I tend to think it was a rifle, largely because LE won't confirm the weapon was an everyday handgun.

ETA: Yes, one would have to physically touch the door -- rapping ones' knuckles through gloves on a door. Good luck getting DNA from that.

ETA: I think the focus on the deck was the removal of the bodies. For whatever reason, I think LE decided it wanted the bodies coming out that exit and into the vehicle waiting by the deck -- perhaps, because LE thinks the perp(s) made no entry into the house on that side of the structure. IMO, MOO, ETC.

It was between their house and the Smrekar's, closer to the Smrekar's, on the far side of the road.

There are both regular sized "phone poles" there and high lines. See the high tower beyond the fire truck, and then if you look carefully, you can see the "phone pole" beyond that. If you click here, you can see where those 2 poles are relative to the Closs home. The "phone pole" is essentially in their driveway. Google Maps

Thanks, I really rather sleuth evidence than theories... Even though I don't imagine the road accident to be directly related to this case. It was such a tragic coincidence though, to have a fatal accident almost right outside one's home, and just a few months later the homeowners themselves were murdered.

A collage I 've made from the images that you've found. The upper is from Google map. Not taken in June I guess, vegetation not so lush, but the scenes do correspond quite well.

So I think you have found the location. And the Closs house is opposite where that dark vehicle was in Google map.

Lest anyone view my occasionally -- what may be seen as whimsical posts -- as without point, let me set the record straight: I want to know what happened to the Closses and am ripping at my insides to figure out who the *!%+ exactly deserves to be torn asunder and further clawed to shreds for their crimes. I work 3rd shift from home; even after 16 yrs, it's still hard to sleep during the day. Most days, I can block out stuff and catch a few hours of shut eye at a time, at least. This crime, though, has ****** me up. Nothing makes sense, and a kid is missing, her parents dead.

I have to laugh, sometimes, and listen to music, to keep my head straight. And I say that -- like some weak punk -- knowing a teen has been ripped away from her life.

You should try ASMR instead of this music (I shouldn't have watched that clip).

Good theory, I just don't see taking Jayme being part of an owed debt. I still believe Jayme was always the only target it's the only thing that makes sense to me. I don't believe anything the family did brought this on themselves. I believe this to be a good family, straight forward, most excitement in this house are a few beers watching the football game. I don't believe gambling or drugs have anything to do with it. They just happened to have a beautiful daughter someone wanted.

Granted, time travel would necessarily be involved, and I can't help with an MSM link on that, but if I were pitching this in the future-dystopia genre, I wouldn't be laughed out of the room.

Since you mentioned the vehicle by the deck - since the Sheriffs dept. has a fleet of big SUV's, pickups, a mobile command center, etc., not to mention fire dept., coroner's office... I wonder why the vehicle of choice for whatever they were doing over there was a soccer mom mini van?

I might be engaging in some perceived semantics here, but since this is the business I'm in - none of these poles have anything at all to do with phone. The tall steel ones are transmission towers (power), and the shorter ones are distribution poles (also power). Phone is all underground here. Carry on.

If my memory is correct from much earlier threads, that Mini-Van belonged to two CSI type ladies, who worked out of a suitcase and big plastic tub, on gathering evidence in the house, during the first three days. They are shown in the yard with the van and leaving with their equipment in videos

Sheriff has stated that both parents were shot and died instantly. That would presumably come from an autopsy report we have not yet been privvy to. No one lingered.

I think this is why they seemed to be disregarding the shots the neighbor reported. They would have had to be fired just before LE arrived...based on victim body temp...etc. even twenty minutes would show a difference, I think.

This is identical to Ohio case... murder over statutory rape../ and or child.

I’m not saying jayme was pregnant with 20 yr old boys baby...

I’m simply looking for somewhat logical reason to murder two kidnap one..

If she was pregnant that would give reason to keep alive 7 months ..vs kill 3 in 10’seconds..

Or maybe there was just evidence of improper relationship that could ruin 20 yr olds life...

I just have hard time seeing someone angry enough over foster kid treatment/protecting kid from bad parent to the point u murder... or murder and kidnap...
if either of those. Why not shoot Denise with snipper rifle and move on...

The Closs executioner could have killed them for any random amount of reasons. Road rage, or who knows. Maybe he picked them because the pattern of their roof spoke a special message to him. It could be anything.

Jayme could have been the initial impetus, or an afterthought. I’m sure LE has determined which by now.

Knock on door, Kick door in when Dad starts to close door, Kill Dad, Kill Mom while she’s running to the bathroom calling 911, Grab Jayme standing where she ran into the room to see what is happening. In and Out in 5 minutes.

We agree to disagree. This is not rage this is not personal. No overkill no torture just shot both parents quickly and took Jayne. I suspect parents if left alive would know who they are and/or no witnesses to see him take Jayme. I think local guy did not want to risk being seen taking her in other words no chance of witnesses the way he decided to do it. Btw which seemed to work out well for perp.
