Hold on, the "wrong house" theory is backwards and this is significant. We know the assailant(s) ended up at the Closs residence, but we know they didn't enter that address into a gps to get there. That's going to mean that either the assailant(s) were familiar with the house (maybe been there before), or got specific directions from somebody that knows the gps will take you to the wrong address.
You're right. I looked at it backwards, too. We need to know what address entered in google maps would end you up in their driveway. That's the person who needs to worry. And then with that 'situation' a house or two away (thinking drug or meth bust but not sure)....

Here are some wooden doors.

I am so interested yhat such a thick door broke.

How much force would that take?

Wood Doors - Front Doors - The Home Depot

You don't have to break the door, you just have to kick out the locking mechanism. Most first-time door-kicker-downers aim center-mass on the door; which is apparently a bad mistake. According to the experts on youtube, you wanna kick near the doorknob/lock:

or use his "master key" tactic.

Is your door solid thick wood like the Closs door is? The wood would break like that?
its a thick door but to be honest, it is in need of repair. the frame would probably crack pretty easy, the door itself not.
how were they on keeping up with the house? alot of our neighbors have roofs caving in and its the norm, there is just so much poverty. we don't have a house in their county but one over.

Officer 325 adds the detail of a male being down and indicates spent rounds. Clearly, he has to have seen both the body and the rounds.

Thank you for such a clear explanation of the 911 log! So helpful.

I have a question concerning the spent rounds. I really don’t know anything about guns.... Are spent rounds automatically discharged from the gun? And, do they fall fairly close to where the gun was fired? If that’s the case, for Officer 325 to so quickly comment on ‘multiple rounds spent’ would this imply that JC was shot at close range? TIA for helping me to understand what probably is pretty basic stuff.

That makes a bit of sense... as somebody who actually lives at an address that every gps gets wrong I can see the possibility. If I give you my address and you decide to come TP my house tonight I’ll sit back and laugh as the guy a block and a half away from me gets TP’d again. Yes, it really happened.

I believe it. Many a times GPS has steered me the wrong direction or told me "you have arrived at your destination" only to find I am still .5 mile away or on the wrong end of the block (east versus west, north instead of south).

That said, I'm not sure that a "wrong house" theory makes sense to me to explain this case. If the person or persons were intent on killing two adults in a different house and didn't expect a child to be present, why would the reaction be to take her with them? That seems like something that would require more work, more risk and more time to get away, than if they either killed her or simply threatened her that they would come back if she told police anything. Especially if they only had 4 minutes to grab her and get out unseen because they just realized the child (or one of the dying parents?) called 911.

And if they had realized it was the wrong house after Jayme appeared they would know that the police couldn't connect them to the family or the crime. Proponents of this "wrong house" theory seem to also think that maybe Jayme recognized the person so they couldn't leave her there. To me, that is just too many conflicting assumptions to make. Either it was the wrong house or perp was known to the family/knew the family. It doesn't really makes sense both ways IMO.

And it deosn't makes sense to me someone who was cold blooded enough to kill two people without first getting a good enough look at them to see if they had the right people would suddenly realize Jayme was a child and hesitate to pull the trigger upon seeing her. She's small but she is also the size of many small adults at 5'0 and 100 lbs. In the dark, with Jayme possibly hiding in fear, would the perp know it was a 13 year old and not a 3rd adult? In a "wrong house" theory wouldn't it makes sense that they came to kill the entire house for some sort of vendetta? Why suddenly stop to get a good look at the 3rd person there? Having an unexpected 3rd person appear wouldn't make a gunman with that mindset stop their murderous rampage IMO. Unless that 3rd person was the person they came for. MOO.

MAYBE J AYME STILL HAS HER PHONE AND THEY DON'T WANT HER ABDUCTOR TO KNOW!! That certainly would explain why they're being so secretive about the phone.
How would he not know if she has her phone? Even if it was left at the house I would think he would assume LE has it.

From fundraising efforts or whatever, can we determine what church Jayme and her mom attended?

Thank you. Very interesting.

Thank you. I decided to look over at and found one.

Someone mentioned earlier today, and it hadn't occurred to me until then, but why hasn't anyone from the family come out on media with a message for Jayme? This is really bothering me! I know the family is for sure grieving, but since LE is "100% sure Jayme is alive" why wouldn't a relative put out a message that they are looking for her and to stay strong, etc.?

I doubt LE kicked in the door, because I doubt the door was locked, since it would have to have been locked from the outside with a key, and why would they bother, and unless they made Jayme lock it, it was probably open and kicked in by the kidnapper/s
Yes, it was open when they got there.

I made a map with the Closs house, the Casino, Jayme's school, Jennie-O, and the Sheriff's office. Are there any other places to include?

This is the first map I have made, let me know if something is wrong.

Note: street view of Closs house on Google maps is incorrect as many have noted, and possibly speculated could have led to a "wrong house" situation.

Google Maps

Edit: Apparently this map shows the house correctly on street view when you click on the dropped pin but lists the address at 1271.

Thank you very much! This helps put the landmarks in perspective and address where potential CCTV filmed from.

I don't have the link but from what I remember, two cars were in the driveway. Fitzgerald had made a comment that he didn't know who the cars belonged to. I'm sure by now they know. They are probably belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Closs. IMO.
Per the dispatch log, dad's vehicle is a red Silverado, mom's is a Ford Escape (color not mentioned.) In the videos you can see them parked in the driveway.

IMHO, LE is not 100% sure she is alive. That is not possible under the current circumstances.

I have two thoughts, but not a whole theory to fit them into...yet.
1. What if dad came home to a crime already occurring, random or not random, and he is the one who kicked in door to save wife and daughter. (maybe they had an inside bolt so couldn’t rush in using key)As a result, he was killed.
2. What if the killer didn’t plan on murdering anyone but he did. Since she’s a witness, he ends up killing mom too and uses up ammunition. But then suddenly realizes JC is there. Can’t use gun, so takes her.

Most guns eject spent rounds with each trigger pull. Depending on the type of weapon, and nearby obstructions, these casings can travel several feet. They can also roll.

We know that he saw casings, but I now think that there were more than just two shots fired.
