Absolutely true. For the most part the pathways and logs to those games and rooms are known, and logically traceable. LE can track them quickly and easily. Where they spend their time is with more sophisticated and developed games, or those occurring on dark sites. My point was that LE gets what is happening. It’s not a surprise or something they don’t think of. MOO
Would it be harder to track down a person online game account? Vs a social media account?

The police requested surveillance footage from casino shortly after visiting Jenny-O.
Mom was taken to court in 2011 for $14.5K debt. Case file posted earlier.
Mom and dad had been married for over a decade at this time. He wasn't named in this lawsuit, so she got this loan in her own name. Since it was in her name, the purpose for the money might have been kept a secret (gambling? divorce attorney?)

He's literally dead, how is he going to repay the debt even if Jayme is kidnapped? I don't think loan sharks intervene in probate court.
I don’t think they care especially if they are just the heavy arms. Just doing what was told and then got caught up because a kid was there and got in the way

But you would turn your phone on and make the call, right?

Absolutely. But it would account for at least a minute between hearing the shots and being able to call. And by that time, it would probably be too late for me to say anything because the perp would be in my (tiny) house. I can see where the iPhone emergency call option would be good here (holding down the home and volume buttons simultaneously). We don't know when the door was kicked in though, right? All we know is when the neighbors heard the shots and when the call was made?

Casinos always have surveillance cameras. Some of the cameras will point towards the highway.

LOL! Yes, indeed!

St. Croix Casino at Turtle Lake does indeed have cameras on the outside of the building.

If you look at the building corner (on the right side of the casino entrance) you'll see it about halfway between the top of the building and the ground. It is white.

I messed the link up. I'll try and create a photo with the building camera circled.

Sorry!

Actually, and this is totally off the cuff from watching my nephews game. They needed financial info to attach to their game accounts if they wanted to do certain things. So in that way it might be easier to track than a traditional social media account. But I’d have to check that out. I’m not the expert, I only know one.

This case really has me scratching my head. So many things dont add up. If the parents were the main target, why kidnap Jayme?
If Jayme was the target, why go in and kill both of her parents and go through great lengths to take her? Why kill the parents and take Jayme? Could this persons mind be so distorted to think they were “saving” Jayme from her parents? Or was this person on a manic high, wanted Jayme and didnt want to wait, so they just showed up guns blazing. But then how would they be able to get away in 4 minutes, without a trace? This seems more planned, instead of something manic and impulsive. Its such a unique case, and right now so many things arent adding up based on the information that has been released so far.

Join the club.

You can make a case for just about anything at this point.

I was trying to think of a case that kept ringing in my head with some similarities and finally found it. Michael and Rebecca Hargon and their 4 year old son. I don't think we can discuss other cases here, but if interested you can look it up.

Edited: Mentioning it because the motive there has not been considered here, though the means was similar.

You can buy gift cards for those games so you might be able to get around providing personal info if you really wanted to.

IMO that's just not enough evidence to support the "loan shark debt collector turned murdering kidnapper" story.

I live not far from an OTB place and I've never been inside.
I never said it was evidence. I was simply saying that there was a casino not too far away. I have no clue if the father ever went there or not and don't know if it is relevant or not.

We do not know when the family got home that night. If Jayme & Mom were at the family party that afternoon, they probably got home early to mid-evening. This is speculation as it was a school night and also likely that many other attendees had work or school the next morning.

It has been stated but not proven as far as I know that Dad was working that evening. The plant shifts likely ended at midnight. The plant is about 5 minutes from the Closs home. By the time Dad clocked out, got his stuff together, maybe went to his locker or shot the breeze with a co-worker, he would be arriving home around the time the neighbors heard the shots. Perhaps someone followed him from the office. Maybe someone came up behind him as he was entering the house and JC tried to push it shut. This could be when it was kicked open and Dad was shot. Or there may have been a verbal confrontation after the perp got in the house and before Dad was shot. It seems from the police log that Dad was dead inside the door, but he may not have been killed by the shots heard at 12:30.

Maybe two warning shots were fired as he entered his home. This gives a little more time playing out for people who are wondering why the perp would stay so long after the first shots.

That leaves Mom and Jayme. Were they sleeping and woke up to that gunshot? Mom may have tried to act as a decoy to keep the intruder away from Jayme. She may have thrown the chair, been involved in a viscous struggle, then ran towards the bathroom to keep the attention focused on her. She may have been shot then. The intruder may have been looking for Jayme or she may have come out of her room. I believe that maybe this is when he grabbed her. She puts up a struggle. He starts to drag her out, she is yelling. Mom dials 911 and police may hear Jayme calling out as she is being taken away. This is what is heard on the call and why LE says Jayme was alive at the time. It also puts him on the way out at the time, already in control of Jayme and able to get away in the 4-7 minute time frame.

Just my Sunday ramblings.

Several businesses such as Brion’s Smokehouse Deli, Barron Area Community Center, and the Plaid Peacock supported Jayme Closs’ family during this tough time, by selling green bracelets for $5 each. And written on the bracelet spells out #FindJaymeCloss.

“I got a grandson that is about her age, and I think this could of happened to him too. It’s time something gets done to stop this kind of stuff. I pray to God and hope that they find the little girl,” said John Gonsowski.

All the proceeds of each sold bracelet will go to the Closs family.

“Just growing up, I use to walk to school with one of her older cousins and Jayme would be getting dropped off by her mom Denise at the house and getting ready to go to school or whatever. And it’s been just such a nice thing seeing Jayme grow up over the years, and she is just a sweet young girl,” said Shayla Paxton, Brion’s Smokehouse Deli employee.

LE was checking the casino from day 1

They also had 100 volunteers search the 14 mile stretch of highway 8 between the home and the Casino. The casino is in the opposite direction of the town of Barron and opposite direction from which the police had to travel to get to the Closs home. Perhaps LE were requesting security camera footage from the casino pointing towards the hwy. Perhaps the police did not pass any cars on the way to the scene so they knew a getaway car had to have gone in the opposite direction (towards the casino). If the perp(s) did not turn off on a side road prior to the casino they are most likely on camera. If no camera footage then LE must look for other clues as to where they could have turned. JMO.
