I’ve got family in a neighboring town, and am familiar with the Barron area.

Barron is the county seat of Barron County, but the largest city in the county is Rice Lake, which is only about 15 minutes away. Rice Lake is where one would go if they needed to go to Walmart or Kohl’s. Barron does have a decent hospital, and it’s is part of the Mayo Clinic Health System.

The city of Barron’s main employer is Jennie-O, which is right in town, off of Highway 8. Jennie-O is actually the largest employer in Barron County.

Trying to think what other information I can share about the area. Highway 8 is heavily traveled between Highway 63 (west of Turtle Lake, goes past a big casino for the area) and Highway 53 (just west of Cameron). Barron is between this stretch of Highway 8.
Thank you. That gives us a little better feel for the area. Per Wiki, Barron is just 2.96 square miles with a population of approx 3,423 as of 2010. It's surprising to me that there's a hospital there, but that's a good thing. What type of business is Jennie-O?
MOO

The only cameras I can think would be the ones actually in town (Barron, Cameron, Rice Lake) at a convenience store, hospital, etc. This is a really rural area and there are a lot of back, country roads one could travel if they wanted to avoid town.

Would there be any hunting cameras in the area?

Jennie-O is a poultry processing plant. The town smells when you drive through it!

As for being surprised about a hospital being in Barron, I grew up in a wisconsin town about 45 minutes as away from Barron, population was smaller than Barron, but we also had a great hospital. I don’t think of it as a rural area having grown up there, but it is, and there is a need for hospitals in these “smaller towns”.

It's a turkey factory. They have a processing plant, but also have factory farms there, in the area, too.

How about checking game/hunting cameras ?

Summer in Barron is the worst with the smell!

I believe their home would be leaving Barron, going towards Almena, so not directly in the town of Barron.

You are correct, their home is located on the west side of Barron. There is a nice Cenex gas station right off of Highway 8 in Almena that probably has cameras facing the roadway. That is the only place I could think of having cameras until a person got to Turtle Lake, if they were traveling westbound.
