Whoever abandoned him needs to be charged with attempted manslaughter or something. It is by the grace of some higher power that he lived through the night. Ugh,, poor cold baby :(

I did the exact same thing, I think my heart stopped beating for 30 seconds! I'm still shaking lol Bless the little fighter he made himself heard :)

so I'm back to all my original wonderings about KS. Has anyone found out anything about the fraud charges in TX?
 
If I was Brianna I would have to be held back from her as I would unleash on KS.
Thank God Kayden is alive and well. I hope this little angel has a happy amazing life.

no need to say that.. a lot of times we just have to keep it under hats until we can talk about it, golem.

the reporting was very confusing in this case but most likely because they were onto her and were not leaking anything to the media. It all unfolded rather quickly.

I am so happy!!!! Thank goodness.

I also owe an apology too to Gram for suspecting her. But please Gram, no more fighting with your granddaughter till baby gets a little older. Mom has enough to worry about these days.

And to the person(s) that took baby. PFFFFFTTTT !!!
 
Iowa temperatures were in the single digits last night, some in the negative. He could have frozen to death very easily.
 
So the question remains. At least it does for me. Who is she? Is she really Brianna's stepsister. I have doubts!
 
While this all seems to point to KS, I am going to play Devil's Advocate here for a second. 24h seems like a LONG time for a baby to be out in the cold, especially when he can't regulate this temperature. It would be unlikely his cries would go unheard so long at a gas station with people coming and going. Is it possible someone had him in their home and in the night or sometime this morning traveled to where KS was to drop him knowing she is the POI? Or KS handed him off and then the person keeping him decided to put him where he would likely be found?

I really hope there is video surveillance. And thank God that baby is okay!

And to add to that BeeBee, there is nothing wrong in looking for good in people. golem, scoot over. I was looking for the good in her as well! God blessed this baby! That is all that matters! :loveyou:
 
I want to hear what this woman has to say for herself. What the heck was she thinking? And to leave him out in the cold. Just horrid.
 
He couldn't possibly have been in that duffel bag outside for very long at all, even bundled up. It was -8 last night, and only 7 right now in West Branch, IA. His body, the bag, and everything in it would have been literally frozen in a short time, just as if you put it all in a below 0 freezer.

I have my doubts that Kayden was left out for 24 hours at a gas station. How did no one else hear/see him?

Even without the frigid temps, he could have suffocated.

I, too, wonder who Kristen Smith really is, is she really Brianna's step sister? Is she really from CO? What plates did she have on her car? IL? Is she married? Does she have kids?
