This video is haunting me. I've spent the day getting completely up to date and I have a ton of questions. There is not a whole lot published about this investigation.

First main question I have - does anyone know this older boyfriends name that she was supposed to be seeing? Was he questioned?

Did anyone go through KK's Car?

Are there REALLY witnesses that saw her there? If so then KK was not the last to see her as it's been said.

As I was combing through NEW articles today, I thought I saw that someone said the police had traced the IP the video was uploaded from and they went to the house and no one was there.. Now I can't find that again.. Did anyone else hear this? Was that house in the Wausau or Antigo area?

I can't imagine, as a mother of a missing daughter, what it would be like to see a video such as this :( Surely, someone has to recognize this guy?! Even if he was one of those scary story youtubers.. you'd think with all this publicity he'd come forward and say it was just for entertainment purposes and not real.. the fact that no one can find or identify this guy makes me thinks more and more that it is related!
 
Also, I've d/l a recording of this video as it seems to be suddenly be taken down from all the sites it's lived on one by one.
 
I read through this thread and there isn't much info here. When I fist heard this story the police were saying they did not know who this person is who made the video but that seems to have changed, I just heard on TV that the police are unable to locate this individual at this time. I hope that means they know who he is now.
 
As a Wausau resident, I want to know the full name of this Patrick character. He looks very familiar and about my age and with his full name I can find out more about him. If anyone sees it, will they please message me. I've tracked down a name of the current owner of the property/condemned house and I want to know if there is a connection.

I don't have cable. Please tell me that CNN and major news stations are at least mentioning and showing clips of this across the country? Surely if it was a joke and the man and woman are too embarrassed to admit to this joke, an employer, a co-worker, a neighbor, a relative, etc will notice him and his voice and just tip off the police.

I don't think anyone knows?! Wausau isn't a huge city in the grand scope of things.. Antigo either. I'm north in Eagle River WI. Of all the articles coming out today on FB I see so many people saying the same thing - that he looks SO familiar - but so far I have not seen where anyone claims to know who he is.

If it was in Marathon County as news sources have been stating, the Antigo area would be excluded.

Cable news is too focused on election coverage right now to give much time to this or any other story but the Associated Press has picked up the story about the video:
ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities in Wisconsin are asking for public help to determine the origin of a disturbing video posted online in 2009 that some believe may be connected to a missing person.
The video shows a man talking to the camera about his new girlfriend, then shows a female, apparently bound, in a small bathroom crying.
Fifteen-year-old Kayla Berg, of Antigo, vanished a couple of months before the video was posted in 2009. Police say she had been dropped off by an acquaintance in Wausau. Berg's mother, Hope Sprenger, told WAOW-TV in Wausau that she watched the video.

Looking at this person's two Facebook pages and his Myspace (the person named in a comment at the heavy.com link), he looks somewhat like the man in the video, but the hair is different. His name is Patrick, though.

I have to tread carefully here, as we're not allowed to sleuth innocent people.

I agree, the man named has a distinct birthmark on his face.

Coincidence? Kayla was dropped off in front of a condemned house (I was actually in that house as a kid). that's across the street from Colonial Manor. A nursing home. The house is still condemned. I drive past it often.

If you look at the picture of Robin Dunwoody (https://www.meaningfulfunerals.net/home/index.cfm/obituaries/view/fh_id/14941/id/2770666), she looks a LOT like Kayla. I know that might not mean anything but just something to note.

Did this "Patrick" know Walter Lassa or Robin Dunwoody? Could this video been shot in the condemned house?

Honestly, I don't remember much of the interior of the house. I babysat for kids there around 1992-1994. I am sure it changed a lot before it was condemned.

It's been nearly 30 (33 now) years since 20-year-old Jeanette Baneck disappeared while walking home from the North Central Health Care in Wausau in late February in 1983. There were few clues and little evidence surrounding Jeanette’s disappearance. Then, in early November Jeanette's skeletal remains were found by a hunter in a wooded area south of Highway 29 in Weston, less than two miles from her home. Investigators determined she had been stabbed 11 times.

There's been a whole slew of unsolved murders of young women and girls in this area for many years around Shawano County, Wisconsin. I believe the common link of many of them is the Bowler, WI casino.

Also, another interesting point, Walter E. Ellis, also known as the Milwaukee North Side Strangler, was a serial killer who raped and strangled seven women in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin between 1986 and 2007. He was arrested September 7, 2009. The video was first posted October 11, 2009.
 
I don't think it is Patrick. On his facebook page he appears to have a birthmark on his face that is not present in the video.

Yes, and the man in the video has thicker eyebrows, too, if that makes sense. But the man in the video could be related to the man with the distinct birthmark. They do look an awful lot alike, but I don't think they're the same person.
