Observation : prior to NotMeAnymore coming forth the time frame I have from media was that SZ was on the websites from 2005 forth but this was 2003 which in my opinion validates that SZ had multiple user names and accounts, wonder how far back they go ?

Yeah, I don't understand the 2007 date they have for collarme (Which is now collarspace apparently). As far as I know he had that collarme profile for quite a while. Unless he took it off and put it back on for some reason?

I also wonder how he met the girl he had in a cage for 7 years. He told me about her and showed me pictures (petite and blonde). He told me that I could contact her for a sort of reference if I wanted to but then he would change the subject whenever I brought it up. I should have seen that as a red flag but I was so wrapped up in my sex addiction. It's pretty embarrassing, actually.

SOS, according to the timeline / news, Zelich lost his West Allis LE job in '01 and his Dad died in '02. he had his live in girlfriend from '06-'07. she left him upon learning his story that he kept a woman enslaved 24/7 for seven years. of course, we don't know if that was an exaggerated story (yet). it doesn't seem like a practicality given his living arrangements.

his alt.com profile asked how long he has been in to BDSM and he responded "all of his adult life". he was harboring fantasies for a very long time and it must have really angered him to have his advanced spurned in "real time".

We also have to remember that the internet didn't get up and at it for mass use until the early '90's . . . that might be stunning info for some younger people!

NotMeAnymore, I've been lurking on this thread but am just popping my head in to say how much I admire you for telling your story. It can't be easy to be reminded of that time in your life like this. Please, please remember to be kind to yourself and don't dwell on bad memories or the what if's. I'm so glad that you were able to listen to your inner voice and not let him "abduct" you. That definitely shows strength and self-respect. The similarities in your stories and the victims is scary. You've got a fascinating insight into his mind. I agree totally with you that even if murder wasn't his intent from the start, that he is no less responsible and should still face murder charges. In Australia, murder can also be committed through reckless indifference to life and by omission of an act. So knowing that someone is suffocating and failing to do anything about it, is murder. I'm not sure how murder is defined in the jurisdiction he is charged in. Hopefully, it is similar to what we have though.

NotMeAnymore, welcome. thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I'm curious about the pics he showed you:

He told me about her and showed me pictures (petite and blonde)

what can you tell us about the pics? was she in a cage in the pics? where did it look like the cage was kept, could you tell? what did the surrounding area look like? could you make out her features or was she hooded / staged for the photos?

It seems this would then put the timeframe of the girl being in the cage in 1996/1997 or prior since he stated in 2003/2004 the girl could be contacted for references.

I just wanted to share the observation of the contradiction of the date SZ joined collar space - I recall a reference being made to the website membership beginning 2007 but we now know that there was an account in 2003

Good catch !

Yes, and if that was the case, he attacked and attempted to rape someone in his apartment while he had another woman captive (but where was he keeping her?)

EDIT: I'm fixated on this seven year slave. Was she really under his control for seven years? If true, where was he keeping her? What happened to her? Is she still alive?

In perusing profiles on collarme, I've come across the same people w/alternative profiles. the date they "joined" is when they set up the profile.

The law is written differently in each state, but I'm under the impression that each state in the US has a law to the effect of if someone's bodily actions cause an unintentional death to a second individual during a separate incident, but with the same general bodily action, then that second death is considered murder even if the person claims it was unintentional.

I'd always thought of it as someone causing a death during a fist fight and then causing another death during another fist fight...but I'm thinking it could apply to the way Steven killed as well. Although, I personally think they were both murder.

interesting. I'm also thinking of charges now being levied at drug dealers for the deaths from overdoses. this story of an escort who caused the death of a Google exec last November at Santa Cruz harbor (on a yacht, no less) hit the news wires today:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-california-prostitute-20140709,0,587751.story

Police in California have arrested a woman they described as a high-priced prostitute who is suspected of murdering a man by injecting him with heroin aboard his yacht in a Santa Cruz harbor, authorities said.

The Santa Cruz Police Department said security camera footage from the yacht showed Alix Catherine Tichleman, 26, failing to help the 51-year-old victim after he suffered an overdose and fell unconscious in November 2013.

"At one point, she steps over the body to finish a glass of wine. Finally, she leaves the boat and reaches back in to lower a blind and conceal the victim's body from outside view," it said in a statement on Tuesday.

Authorities say Tichleman became a suspect after it was learned she had a sex-for-money relationship with the man.

Police did not identify the victim. The Santa Cruz Sentinel newspaper, which first reported the arrest, said he was a Google executive.

The police department said Tichleman was a high-priced prostitute who met clients online and boasted in interviews of having more than 200 client relationships.

It said detectives were investigating another case with similar circumstances involving Tichleman in a different state but gave no details.

She was arrested in Santa Cruz on the July 4 holiday after being contacted by an officer posing as a potential client, it said. She agreed a price in excess of $1,000 and was detained when she arrived at "an upscale location."

Tichleman was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail for second-degree murder, destruction of evidence and transporting and providing narcotics.

Since Zelich stated he killed Laura in the hotel in Minnesota I started looking at their statutes. From what I gather, he could be charged with first degree murder. Depending on how he says the events took place, it appears the crime could fall under the 2nd listing for murder in the first.

609.185 Murder in the First Degree

(a) Whoever does any of the following is guilty of murder in the first degree and shall be sentenced to imprisonment for life:
(2) causes the death of a human being while committing or attempting to commit criminal sexual conduct (see 609.343) in the first or second degree with force or violence* either upon or affecting the person or another;

609.343 Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Second Degree
A person who engages in sexual contact with another person is guilty of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree if any of the following circumstances exists:
(e) the actor causes personal injury** to the complainant, and either of the following circumstances exist:
(ii) the actor knows or has reason to know that the complainant is mentally impaired, mentally incapacitated, or physically helpless***;

Also listed at the end of this statute "Neither mistake as to the complainant's age nor consent to the act by the complainant is a defense."

My reasons for thinking the above:
* Violent because due to his actions one person had already died in a like-manner; thus, it is absolutely within reason for him to know the possible outcome.
** Laura had to have been injured prior to death, scientifically speaking.
*** My understanding is Laura was bound/gagged, rendering her physically helpless.

I'm not a lawyer and I don't know all the legalities behind statutes so I could be off. However, I did try to fully understand the exact meanings behind the statutes I've listed as well as read all the definitions of 'this-means-this' before posting my opinion.

He told me that he would keep me caged in his office and that if he ever had company that he would put me and the cage in his bedroom closet. One of the pictures he showed me of the 7 year slave had her in a cage in a bedroom (I think it was a bedroom), so I think that is where he kept her. I am thinking that he didn't get a lot of company. I would put money on the fact that the attempted rape happened shortly after he let the 7 year captive go, if he let her go. I shudder to think about what really happened.

Thread: NJ - Joyce Y Vanderhoff 25, nude body found on roadside, Atlantic City, 14 Feb 2014

I know searches began on the initial thread, but I'm searching for bodies found in suitcases.

NotMeAnymore...I just want to welcome you and tell you, that like many others, I think you are incredibly courageous. Please don't sell yourself short on this, even if you're unsure of whether you are ready to go to authorities yet or ever. Your posting here is astronomically huge in of itself. I hope you are weathering the storm as best you can with all that you've learned about SZ recently; please remember to take extra good care of you right now.

I'm in no way defending SZ or the WAPD administration, but I need to put this out there. The West Allis police union was very strong and is probably a huge part of why SZ still had his job after all the disciplinary actions. If you don't have experience with unions, you have no idea how strong they are.

For example, the most recent case in WI involves a teacher who watched *advertiser censored* at school, was fired, but the union got his job back for him. http://m.watchdog.org/?url=http://watchdog.org/124828/*advertiser censored*-union-teacher/#2852

Its just an example of how unions aren't always in the best interest of students (or citizens in SZ case). So when there is an internal investigation of WAPD on SZ behavior and lack of disciplinary actions taken against him, they need to take a look at what the union did, or didn't do.

I just wanted to share the observation of the contradiction of the date SZ joined collar space - I recall a reference being made to the website membership beginning 2007 but we now know that there was an account in 2003

Just some FYI, the collarme.com website was registered in 2002, so it has been out there at least that long. Don't know why the cached version of his profile says it was set up in 2007, but it's likely that he had a profile before that time. Maybe he deleted it for a while and reactivated it in 2007. His profile on http://tichy.bondage.com/u/1387029/user.html says it was created in 2004.

Thank you so much, Claire. I appreciate your post. I wish I were brave enough to call the detectives, maybe I will get the strength to do it at some point but I am petrified of them asking me to testify or do anything that would reveal my identity. You see, I'm not so brave after all.

I understand completely what you are saying about the question and I totally understand. I appreciate the reasons and I am also grateful that you guys are okay if I give vague answers at times.

To answer your questions: I was in my late twenties/early thirties when I met him and I am not petite. I am athletic build, not very tall but not short, either. I did not have children, no.

One thing that I can say about how he operates is that he is very careless. I was very into strict bondage so I didn't have a problem with how strict he was but he liked to use very extreme hoods and gags and more than several times I would be protesting that I didn't have enough air. He was more into how the bondage looked than the practicality of it. Does that make sense? When I begged for air through the gag and hood (they were always used in conjunction) he would tell me to wait a little longer, usually between 15 and 30 minutes. Sometimes he would just go into the other room and watch tv while leaving me there (the rooms we met in were always suites). I would put money on the fact that he suffocated those poor women. Whether it was on purpose or by accident doesn't matter, he cared more about the aesthetics of the bondage than he did about the life of the woman. He's horrendous.

Like I said before, I didn't feel like a victim or anything but I will say that ever since then I have a fear of having my breathing constricted in any way and when I smell a smell that is similar to his cologne, I get a little upset and shaky.

Thanks for answering my questions about age and body type. So it looks like he doesn't really have a "type". I think he picks his victims based on their life circumstances. He preys on those most vulnerable and those without ties to family, friends, community.

When I read your line about the fears he created in you, feeling upset and shaky when you smell a similar cologne, I just wanted to reach out and hug you. You are brave for speaking out here and sharing your story. Your insights are very helpful.

Hi All:

I have done open records requests now both through the Mequon PD and the West Allis PD and should have those records back from WAPD by early next week, according to the records supervisor. I am also drafting up a request right now for the Rochester Police Department and wanted feedback from you all on a.) what would make the most sense to ask for and b.) what other government agencies/police departments would make sense to ask for stuff from and what stuff should I ask for?

Any advice from you all, who have been following the case extremely closely, would be greatly appreciated. Would also like to keep in touch w/ some of you once I have the records in my possession to bounce around ideas and leads gained from having the records in my possession.
