it leaves me with quite a few questions. Laura Simonson's Mother reported that the family last saw her on November 1st and she left her van at her Mother's home in St Paul on November 2nd. We are then to assume that Laura returned to Farmington but do not know her mode of transportation (distance between St Paul and Farmington is about 31 miles - as the crow flies). Why would she leave her van behind at her Mother's home and how did she get back to Farmington?

Evidence (MN Sergeant Detective Lee) Hollatz collected indicated Simonson left Farmington of her own accord. She was picked up from a parking lot at Akin Road Elementary School on Nov. 2.

Are we to assume that she was picked up by SZ? Distance from Rochester to Farmington is just over 60 miles taking approx one hour to drive.

From all articles, Laura Simonson checked in first and SZ did not use his real name. Wondering if they arrived together OR who exactly was providing transportation to Laura from St Paul back to Farmington and from Farmington to Rochester.

Questions, questions, questions. And do read again how the Farmington Sgt / Detective was tipped in January '14 that Laura Simonson was w/SZ. It was that tip that led him to locate the online chats that occurred between Laura and SZ (evidently SZ was logging into his account from two locations - wondering what the second location was - assuming the first was his apartment).

That's what motivated the Farmington P.D. to contact West Allis in order to check SZ's apartment for Laura Simonson. After that initial check found nothing, he wrote a letter that the West Allis police attempted to deliver (in person) and eventually they just left it for SZ.

SZ moves out of that apartment in February. Meanwhile, by last February, he's already had Jenny Gamez's body for a year. Might that be when he moved the body to his car, when he moved apartments?

The post in the uk.group.yahoo.com, where he was looking to be enslaved, was created in January 2012. So it was before he murdered Jenny and Laura.

I keep thinking that this account had nothing to do w/being enslaved (personally). what runs through my head is that he was looking for a place and an accessory, someone who had the right set-up and was into the same scene. it was a fishing expedition.

and keep in mind that many of these BDSM sites are international so it doesn't matter what country is hosting it. that may actually be helpful to those w/more nefarious objectives, having it offshore makes it more complicated to track down domestic info.

I think I'll now self edit as that UK group was a yahoo group (if memory serves me). Still, doesn't matter what country people are from, the sites are international.

The site collarme.com changed the name to collarspace.com on May 24th after the site went offline over the two founders getting into a turf war:

There may have been site rumblings that the founders were battling which may have led to members (like SZ) setting up accounts at a competing site (alt.com). Unfortunately, alt.com does not allow you to search member directory w/out joining. This however demonstrates how many members there are nationwide. I find it mind boggling:

believe09 ~ LE was tipped. according to timeline, the Wisconsin SuperAd classified was placed April 2014. by then, the West Allis police had already done a well being check at SZ's home, looking for signs of Laura Simonson and visited SZ's apartment at least additional two times after that to deliver a letter from the Farmington MN authorities. those visits occurred Jan/Feb '14

I'd like to know what evidence the police collected in MN that proves Laura died there. if it's only the video of SZ leaving alone, she very well could have been alive (not necessarily conscious) when she left the hotel/motel. he could have carried her out in a bag. was she being held off site somewhere and being used as a slave? did someone make contact and try to help her?

how decomposed was her body when it was found? autopsy records would be helpful in answering that question.

it's also interesting that the SZ joined another BDSM site on May 15, 2014, just weeks before disposing of the suitcases. He didn't seem worried or was he in some warped state of denial?

Good questions. Just because he left alone doesn't mean he was. Did he roll out a suitcase? Yes, she could've been alive in it. Just because he says they died when they did doesn't mean squat. He knows enough that if he says he kept them as a slave he'd be charged with more.

Yes, I was just rereading the same link above and noted that he (supposedly) moved to his last apartment in February 2014 (assuming the move was AFTER he was visited by the West Allis police at his previous address).

Do we have an updated timeline guesstimate of his known addresses? I'm curious where he was living from 1989-1996 (guessing that was around the time he supposedly kept a "slave" for seven years). 1989 was also the year he left Mequon P.D. to work for West Allis P.D. Does anyone know the rules for working / living in a community P.D.? Are you required to live within the jurisdiction? (That could have precipitated a move in '89.)

I'm trying to figure out how he logistically kept a slave for seven years or if that was a story he made up.

And, if he moved in Feb 2014, did the police search his old apt for forensic evidence? News stories just had police searching / removing items from his most current address.

They changed the residency rule for West Allison police officers in the early 2000s, after he resigned in 2001. So he did have to live in the city of West Allis. Now, an officer can live within a 15 or 30 mile radius of the city. I cannot speak to Mequon residency.

I also read somewhere he may have worked at Concours Motors. This is a very upscale car dealer in Glendale, WI. It deals in BMWs, Porsche, Mercedes. Glendale is a nice area, about 13 miles north of West Allis.
We know someone who works there, for about 15 years he's been there.

What are we thinking the odds are that this was somehow part of a human trafficking scheme of some sorts? I think a crusading journalist needs to get in touch with family members and start getting answers to some of the great questions raised here by OhThatVictoria.

Also, what are the odds that some of these questions could be answered by the Rochester Motel's security camera?

Lastly, human trafficking is actually a huge issue in Rochester, MN. I think that's an important detail yet to be highlighted by anyone yet. Some primers:

And if he was, who else was involved? Could this be the reason this case is being handled so oddly? Is this why everything seems to be so hushed up?

When all is said and done, I think this could become a story of sex trafficking, not just him meeting these women on his own without any help of any other third party actors. Hard to say for sure, though, but it's likely all of his electronic communications will be subpoenaed and that includes text messages, emails, stuff on the websites he was involved in, etc.

Will be interesting to see the full indictment come July 17 when he has his arraignment hearing.

Not that odd. We just had Summerfest, which a LOT of tourists come to Milw. for that. Businesses rely on our tourist traffic. You do not want to freak people out from out of town with people getting killed. "Don't freak out the tourists" is pretty much what happens to the news.

Our news changes regarding what. Millions were invested in Bummerfest and we are trying to be freindly. The news will bury that in a second if it will hurt revenue.
