Can I have both? I love JA's passion and intensity but I think his temper sometimes gets the better of him. LDB is, imo, a bigger threat to Casey. ICA is intensely intimidated by strong, professional, educated women in a figure of authority.

I guess, for me, to get under Casey's skin, really unravel her, and keep her off balanced LDB would be the logical choice. But to have her 'punished', humiliated, stupefied than JA would better suit the role.

I still want both.

And her answer to the question...why didn't you call 911?.....what could possibly be enough to convince a jury that she is innocent of drowning but had a reasonable explanation to cover up her daughter's death to the depth and breadth that she has? Not asking you specifically - not callin you out Mendara - just wondering where the DT could possibly go with that ....the sexual abuse ties into the cover up of your daughters death exactly how Miss KC?

Baez will also have to bring up the fact that, according to his defense theory, George found Caylee's body in the pool. So, the jury has to believe that GA, former LE, didn't call 911 but decided to: 1) help Casey conceal the accidental death of his beloved grandchild, 2) place duct tape over Caylee's mouth and nose, 3) move her decomposing body around from place-to-place, 4) put the body in garbage/laundry bags, and 5) toss her into the woods to be gnawed on by small animals. Is the jury likely to believe any of this? I don't think so. jmo

There have been a lot of trials shown over the years along with many crime shows where the worst psychopaths insist on taking the stand and some even represent themselves. They think they are better and smarter than everyone else, and that they can talk their way out of anything. Casey is responsible for the new tale of blaming George and if she's a psychopath like so many claim she may not listen to attorneys or take no for an answer. She does have the right to take the stand.

I think you may well be right. I've said repeatedly that I was sure she wouldn't testify, but after watching her seethe this past couple of weeks, I'm just not so sure. I know her team will advise against it strenuously, but I am no longer so certain that she just may do exactly as you're saying -- hop up there, convinced of her extraordinary intelligence and manipulative skills, and try to talk her way out of this again.

Naturally, she would crash and burn. But since that is likely to happen in any case, she may figure it's worth a shot.

This sounds crazy, but it couldn't get much crazier anyway. I'm also wondering if she might admit to looking up chloroform, but try to say that she thought she might be getting chloroformed in her sleep, and wondering if the ingredients were around her home. She did say in the jailhouse letter that she'd wake and not know what happened and had dreams or memories. This next week will be interesting.

I do not think Casey will take the stand although, I wouldn't mind watching that train wreck go by!

However, I did like what Bill Sheaffer from wftv.com had to say today about this possibility...and his thoughts were, all the SA would need to ask her is:

1. Have you ever been convicted of a felony? YES. How many times? SIX.

2. Casey, isn't it true you were trained to lie? YES.

At first I said that Casey would not take the stand. I am beginning to change my mind on that now. I think that Casey believes that she is a great liar and can convince the jury that she is the victim. I would love for Casey to take the stand against her lawyers advice. Linda (if she did the cross) would eat Casey alive.

I do not believe she will and here is why....

It took years to develope this defense, look at everyone they have investigated /implicated over the years to get to this final story (fairy tale).

She has zero credibility, her defense team has made a point of convincing everyone that she is a liar from the start of this case.

I do not believe she will get the DP, but there is no way JB, CM, DS. et al, will allow her to take the stand after they have agreed and pointed out she is and has been a liar for many years.

The fact they presented an opening statement that attempts to destroy her remaining family members will ring LOUD with the jurors if the SA can drive that final nail during the DT's case yet to come.

Sure her lawyers are doing everything they can to persuade her not to, since her credibility is near zero and she's really not the brightest liar IMO, able to contradict herself in a matter of moments. Maybe they're succeeding but I bet she wants to, very bad. I think she will take the stand. The judge will ask her if she plans to take the stand or to give up the right to take the stand. She can just speak right up and say she plans to take the stand. Casey thinks she is beautfil and probably thinks that she can turn the heads of the male jurors. She can bat her eyes and give a sexy smile now and then and look so innocent. She may even wear the top that she can unbutton in the front and unbutton a few buttons instead of just a couple. She thinks she is a sex kitten. She will have her lies ready to go and her and Biaz will figure out what will be asked and what she will say.

For the last two+ years I've been adamant she would never take the stand, but I never imagined Baez would come up with such a convoluted implausible defense. So now I think there's a 50/ 50 chance she will.

She and her ambitious lawyer have put forward an all or nothing defense that seeks her acquittal. She admits to no wrong doing whatsovever, save allowing her father to cover up the accidental death of his granchild :crazy: and her daughter. When Baez made the claims in his opening statements he assumed the burden of substantiating those allegations. Baez is stating Casey Anthony invented imaginery friends and became so *advertiser censored***d up because of being raised in a very disfunctional family and being the victim of years of sexual abuse. He is imo actually putting forward a mental health defense but without any professional opinion to support it. :crazy:

Due to the States motion in limine and Baez failure to proffer any testimony that ICA was abused, Baez, it seems has no way of corroborating the abuse claims without putting ICA on the stand. Despite imo insermountable evidence Caylee's dead body was in that trunk, Baez is still going for broke and blaming it on the trash bag. :floorlaugh: He's damned if he does and he's damned if he doesnt. So this next wannabe Juanny Cochrane and his pathological liar of a client might just go for it.

After Baez' opening statement, I don't see how she can avoid taking the stand now. If she doesn't take the stand, Baez has no reasonable argument he can present this jury to try to explain ICA's behavior after his client's daughter "accidentally drown". And if he can't do THAT, the girl is sunk, imo.
