I voted "Yes", but would have rather voted, "Depends On Case Progression".

Personally, I expected a vicious assault by the defense today, instead, they took a standard, methodical defensive approach. If the DT's case starts to bog down, I think they'll certainly run the risk and go for broke.

**How did you know the names of ZFG's children and what kind of car she drove?

I never thought she would take the stand but a couple of reasons have made me change my mind

1 - I think she is so egotistical and enjoying the attention and really wants to take centre stage

2 - I heard a specialist talking about the case on the radio and they mentioned that Casey comes across as a cold, hard person with no personality to the jurors...what she REALLY needs to do is to show her human side so they dont vote for the DP (which is her only chance). The only way to humanise herself is to take the stand. Even though she will still not be believed she will have the chance to show that shes a person

Part of me wants to ask many questions... the other part of me thinks "why bother" she'll only lie anyway. She will lie, even when the truth would sound better.

I would love to have many questions asked of her by the prosecution. Oh, believe you me, I would bet my last dollar that there has been an incredible amount of thought put into the State getting to cross-examine her on the stand. As elaborate as her lies are, she has shown that, when pressed and backed into a corner by artful interrogators, she can flub things up. The stakes here are so high, and she is aware of so many eyes on her, I don't think it possible that she wouldn't trip up on something terribly important. It just takes that one time in front of the jury for her to seal the deal.

I know this cannot and would never be asked...but I would LOVE to say: "Casey someone came to me in a dream and said "Linda (or Jeff), will you please ask my mommy why she killed me?" So, Casey, can you please answer for her?

After an elephant sized dose of truth serum, i would ask why she decided to kill a trusting and loving toddler versus just getting in the car and running away from whatever responsibilty that parenting brought she didnt enjoy?

but if answered truthfully would there be anything we could learn as a society to help these people who do decide to murder their kids?

we have the leave at a firehouse option in many states, but only of a certain age. what the heck could we do for women like Casey who are just not parent material and are too selfish to be a giving parent ever?

hmmmm, could we take the truth if she spewed it?

"ICA, is it a huge, huge waste of time for me to ask you a question, based upon the fact that you lie, lie, lie?

Q: On the evening of June 16, 2008 you watched a movie called "Jumpers". What was it about ?

Q: Did you enjoy it ?

I don't really have questions for the prosecutors, just ones I'd like the answers to:

1. When Lee said "was this like the last time?" what was he referring to?

2. What would you have done if your mother had given you "one more day" before calling in the police?

3. What did you do all day with Caylee when you were pretending to go to work?

4. If Tony had let Caylee sleep over at his place, would Caylee have gotten to live a bit longer?

5. What did you mean when you said LE "hadn't even found her clothes yet?" when they were searching and hadn't found your daughter's body?

6. If you are claiming your father sexually abused you, why did you tell him he was the best father and best grandfather? And if you were living this horrible life, why didn't you just get an actual job and leave home? Or report it?

Actually, I think that if I was the prosecution, what I would want to do is take her slowly and step by step through the entire 31 days, or at least a big chunk of them and ask her why she did each of the things, where Caylee's body was, why she didn't report her baby's death at this point, etc. Show how she was reveling in and thoroughly enjoying her new freedom.

Tink

1) Describe Caylee to the jury....
2) Describe exactly what happened to your daughter to cause her death (without a single lie).
3) What would have been the worst thing that could have happened if you would had :
a-admitted you lost your job,
b- admitted you didn't want to raise your child,
c-signed her over to your parents,
d-got a job and moved out on your own with Caylee,
e-admitted who the Father of the baby really is...

No...she won't testify. JMO...but if she does she could always sing...

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j8-_vIplso"]YouTube - ‪Tell Me Lies‬‏[/ame]

Tell me lies...sweet little lies.

I hope they ask her why she showed up to a Press conference with JB in October 2008 sporting a 'Help find Caylee' button (while the GJ was considering murder charges against her) when she is now saying that Caylee had been dead since June.

Why? I'm not trying to be flip, but you know she'd just lie anyway. Would you believe her if she said, 'yes'?

No I wouldn't believe her at all. I just don't think
she would say just 'yes'. So I would like to hear
her 'complete' story as she has seen it.
She's good at what she does, lots of practice so I
can just imagine. Casey it appears has never been
for a loss of words so I believe it would be more than
just a yes.

I don't have any education in law so I don't know the
answer, but thought of a question I would like the
prosecution to ask and that is, 'What were your thoughts
with Caylee coming into your life' and Did you enjoy
your time with her with love and laughter'.

I would love to hear her answers!!!

And any sob story that Casey could blather about in response to that question of how much she loved Caylee would be automatically discounted by the Jury due to their undoubted disgust of how Casey disposed of Caylee's remains.

More important than that is that the Jury has also viewed hours and hours of Casey's jailhouse video tapes where she's literally giggling her ___ off, asking her father while her mother sits there crying in a crumbled heap, "Why's she crying already?"

I sincerely hope Baez puts her on the stand, but he won't. Even he knows that putting Casey on the stand would only give those Jurors more reason to detest Casey.

I think she wants to take the stand more then anything! I think she would love to be center stage and I that she thinks that she is the only one who is a good enough liar out of all of them to be able to tell it so that (and I'll quote ICA here) "someone would just take the information that I'm (she's) giving them".

The entire DT looks like they are performing in a middle school play. Their voice inflections are so dramatic that it is either B-movie or '80's soap opera quality at best. They just don't look or sound natural at all.

So I think ICA will get so mad at them by the end of this show that she will just get up there herself and we may even be treated to a whole new story!

If she does take the stand, will we know ahead of time?
I definitely need to take that day off work!
Gotta see those lies under oath firsthand...

Does anyone really believe that Casey will swear on a Bible "to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth"?

[font="Comic Sans MS"]Has any concept of the truth literally/figuratively or otherwise? Casey's HUBRIS is off the chart. She is beyond our definition of TRUTH. Casey is so disassociated from society, so CASEY she has her own zip code!

Judging from KC's smirk leaving the courtroom today it sounds like she's getting ready to rip the A's a new "a" and JB is picking out a new pocketchief for his "Perry Mason" cameo. Should be interesting...

Was it just me or did ICA seem like she was running the show now that the DT is "on". She stayed standing long after others sat, sat back and relaxed a bit. Wasn't she sitting in JB's seat and had to move so he could sit down?

Then, and I am not sure whether it was at the lunch break or after trial, she got up and commenced to walking out of the side door without waiting for the guards. She opened the door and walked out keeping a wide bearth between herself and them.

It is as if she thinks this is her turn to shine. I wonder if all baby killers have this sense of entitlement and the need to be an attention hound.?

Me thinks she thinks that JB is going to get her out of it now that he has the floor. :floorlaugh:

Casey & Big Baby Dumb Dumb are more than Attorney/Client.
Me thinks if she is convicted of anything BBDD will become collateral when on appeal she reveals their relationship, and the fact she lied to him, told him she lied and he suborned perjury by not informing the court. He did/does know she is quite the gifted liar.

What I'd like to know is how the State is preparing for Casey, should the Defense call her to the stand to testify. I am not saying that I don't have full confidence in the Prosecution team--but-- knowing what we know about the defendant, what is the strategy? Would they have consulted with a psych doctor, or someone that can help navigate the recesses of a known liar, manipulator and convicted felon. Just asking.....

after all their combined years prosecuting, I believe they've seen plenty of liars, sociopaths, convicted felons, etc. ICA isnt special, she's just female and young and her victim was a beautiful child, that makes her look colder than most.

with that said, in this case, I expect they plan to confuse her into as many lies as possible, hoping for an explosion of rage...which will accomplish showing the jury that EVERYTHING she says is a lie, including the fake drowning, and that she is PLENTY capable of the rage it would take to peel off 3 strips of duct tape and apply them to a baby's face.
