I'd like to know how Nadya thinks she is going to be able to raise this many kids. There's no Dad, her parents are pretty old and the nurses won't be there for 18 years. It's going to be a nightmare every year especially the next five. And, a 4 bedroom house isn't going to be big enough unless it has two living areas that one can be converted into a nursery.

I think Brad and Angelina need to adopt the octuplets. At least THEY can pay to raise them financially. We also know they love adopted children just as they do their own. Who knows? Maybe Nadya and Angelina will become BFFs.

She doesn't want to grow up and she won't. It will end bad!

I'm just relieved that there is care for the babies in place and a full documentation for the next 6 months.

I bout laughed out loud when Dr Phil ws introducing all these people and companies who are donating flooring and how they are doing it (so Dr Phil says ) so that the flooring can be safe and clean for the children (or critters as he called them ) to crawl around on. How LONG does he think this flooring will be nice and CLEAN? DId he see the other house that the grandma owned? Give me a break. I donlt see Nadya cleaning anything. I bet any cleaning that WAS done was done by Angela. WHat will she do now when ANgela isn;t living there? I bet the nurses won;t be doing the cleaning? Is Dr Phil paying for or having someone donate their cleaning services as well?

He lost all abilities to practice due to an ethics issue he was caught in (messing with an employ/patient in the late 80's). Texas handed over a laundry list of things that he had to do to ever be able to practice again, due to the incident. He never fulfilled the list, nor re-upped his license, meaning he has not practiced in a good 20 years and can't claim to be a psychologist. (Oprah met him through his legal consulting firm when he coached her through her infamous beef trial...)

From what she said about two-three weeks ago, the cleaning will most likely be done by church volunteers and friends. I don't have a problem with that during the transition. It's the aftermath of all the people/activity in the home that is the concern.

HLN News on CNN just announced that Social Workers have demanded a large list of repairs & changes to the new home prior to ALLOWING approval of the babies being released & into the new place.

SO here's our 1st real confirmation that CPS IS HEAVILY on her case. :woohoo: AMEN. Keep it up please.

So "Phil" was working on a legal consulting firm after his license was revoked? (I don't know anything about Oprah's 'beef trial'.)

He's quite a piece of work, didn't he also have a little snafu with his "diet" he endorsed? Then the fallout with Britney Spears, and now he's associated himself with Nadya? (I don't remember the situation with the Holloway case.) Do people take him seriously? I just don't understand the appeal of him or his show. :waitasec:

Now reports are saying that Angels may not be able to follow through on this deal as they cannot financially afford it. The money has to come from us but Gloria Aldred is guaranteeing that all money donated will be used solely for the care of the 14 children and none will end up in Nadya's 'hands'.

Now this just breaks my heart all over for those kids.

I'm pleased CPS is involved and being very tough on this mom now but to hear this Angels contract might all be for nothing.

I watched Dr Phil tonight, imo every time this woman was told about something donated, she gets this goofy look of amazement on her face that looks so staged to me, she's getting everything she thought she would when she put this plan into motion, everything donated. This is just the beginning and she is going to use those babies for everything she can get, how will they ever be able to have a normal childhood?

Yes VB, that's why I hope Angels gets a good long chance to be in that home in order to have those kids permanently removed from her arms. She will keep earning what I amount to blood money on those kids heads. Basically pimping out her children is what she's already done.
DID anyone else watch HLN News? They were interviewing a guy I think from TMZ and he was given a 'personal tour' by Nadya of the new home.

I thought it was interesting that at the end of the show, Dr. Phil had a woman from the Foster Care system in California speak about what happens to the greater percentage of foster care kids. It was very sad. And she said that CA's foster system is well-funded and kids still end up homeless and otherwise very compromised. Then the camera panned to Nadya's face and she looked unconcerned, like it wasn't going to happen to her children. She did seem sympathetic but it was obvious she didn't think it would happen to her children.

I think they specifically had the foster care woman there to say what she did in order to wake up Nadya and make her think about the issue, as if to say "it could happen to your children if you don't watch out." Don't think she really has thought about it, though. And the reality is, she could very well lose those children. I cannot imagine 14 children in one small house at two, five, seven, ten, puberty, teenage years!! She thinks that she can do this alone, and/or that people will be there for her until all the kids reach 18.

Nurses aren't really qualified to teach Nadya how to discipline the children. A child behaviorist should come in daily to work with Nadya and the children in a group and individually. Nurses probably won't do cleaning, so who is going to wash all those baby clothes, bedding, feed, and care for the other children while Nadya spends all day long feeding and caring for one infant at at time. Who's going to care for the whole bunch when she later decides that she just has to have a tummy tuck. What a nightmare. I'd love to have all the money that it's going to cost. I still say that it's not humanly possible to prepare one single woman to ever be able to care for 14 children when they're not spaced out in age like the Duggar children.

She goofed at the end of the Phil interview. He asked her about her being surprised by all of these donations. Her reply was something like "I just didn't think it would be put together this fast", (rather than "I am shocked and overwelmed! Thank you!".)

Then she goofed again when she said at the end of the interview that before all of this being donated she was just going to get the basics together first - cribs, and things like new carpet and mobiles for all of the babies!

I am happy to see the Angels group looks so serious and devoted to the details. You can tell they won't be walked on by Nadya. So sad when they talked about the babies' outstretched fingers may be cute but it shows severe stress.

I don't think they will put up with her crap. They talked a lot about mimicking Nadya's mothering. (the shirts she sleeps in will be used to caudel the babies, same smelling lotion as Nadya's, etc...)

Here is what I predict. They will require that somehow the babies living areas are totally seperate from the other six. THey can't deal with the other six during caring for the eight. Before long (I'm predicting when babies 3 and 4 come home) Nadya will get pissed and not like being told what to do and leave - have a million reasons to not be there. And the Angels will take care of the babies.

It really irked me how Dr. Phil kept going on that people need to realize foster care isn't an option here. Nobody wants them in foster care! I think many (me!) think they should be adopted out. There would be a list of 100's of couples willing to make arrangements to immediately adopt AND financially care for them individually or as twins! JMO of course. He should be barking at Nadya about the horrors of foster care for the babies, not his viewers!!! Ugh!!

Just thinking about all of the families who are losing their homes right now....

I don't think so either,just how much common sense does it take??? if it were me,I'd go for open,yet private,adoptions..possibly 4 kids per family,so I would only have to deal with 2 families,and the kids would be together,as much as possible..(and she could hand-pick the families anyway),with stipulations about seeing them;she could do that and basically set it up almost any way she wanted to,even having the kids over for the weekend,and or once or twice during the week.she could still be involved in their lives,and they would be taken care of.
if it takes a village then she should bring on the village!!

I agree with Patty Cake and the rest of you! There's something about Octomom and her sense of entitlement that really rubs me the wrong way. It's like she feels she is so special because she is such a good mother and was also able to give birth to 8 babies at one time. It's also the way she acts-- she's so annoying! I know those babies are innocent and need our help, but tthere's a part of me that doesn't want Octomom to get anything special. And I do wish Dr. Phil would stay out of it and keep her off his show-- he's just feeding into her Narcissistic behavior.

imo Dr Phil is doing it for the ratings, this story will be going on for a long time and he'll be right there in the middle of it, the kids will probably start calling him Uncle Phil! Well with all his money, he can buy her the bigger house and will probably want to instal cameras throughout to record their every move.

Two things that struck me yesterday. I have tried not to look or listen to Natalie for the past week or so because she irks me to no end.

Number #1: Dr. Phil is so proud of himself that since he has been talking to her she has admitted that she shouldn't have had all the embryo's implanted. That it wasn't a prudent thing to do IIRC.

I watched her face when that conversation happened (it was a clip) IMHO she was working him over. She was saying whatever she needed to say. Manipulation. I then thought to myself, that's who she is---A chameleon---she will tell you whatever you want to hear so she can get what she wants. I've met a few ppl like that in my lifetime.

Another thing, TMZ reported on TV what she paid for her clothes during that interview. Anyone else see what's wrong with this picture?
